This Italian 🇮🇹 hotel is located on the northern shore of Lake Garda, with its own lake view and a meadow. Check in during Christmas🎄, the holiday decorations are warm and romantic.

We recently stayed at Lido Palace in Riva del Garda and had a mixed experience. While the hotel’s interior is beautiful and the service (from some staff) commendable, there were serious issues that significantly affected the quality of our stay — particularly due to noise and poor room layout. Noise Disturbances – A Major Problem Our stay coincided with an outdoor music event in the Parco della Miralago, adjacent to the hotel. On 1st August, loud reggae and dub music blasted from 3pm until 2am, featuring acts like Wicked and Bonny, Dreadlionfirestarter, and Blue Zone (DJ Set). This happened two nights in a row, the second featuring techno music. The bass was so loud it ruined the atmosphere at the pool and made it impossible to sleep in the room. We were in Room 101, facing the park, which bore the full brunt of the noise. When we complained to the front desk (Niccolò) at 10:30pm, we were told the event was permitted and nothing could be done. He did come to the room and acknowledged the noise — but there was no prior communication from the hotel about this event. If we had known, we certainly would not have booked at €600 per night. Thankfully, Claudia at reception was much more helpful the next morning and arranged for us to move to Room 110, a deluxe terrace room on the opposite side. Unfortunately, while it was quieter, it overlooked ongoing construction at the Congress Centre. Noise began as early as 7am, and on one morning, we were also woken by grass cutting at 7:45am. At night, late-night voices from the public park were clearly audible even at 3am. In short, noise is a serious issue, whether your room faces the park (east) or the Congress Centre (west). South-facing rooms toward the lake may be quieter, but even then, very tall trees can obstruct the view. Always check for local events before booking. ⸻ Room Impressions Room 101 – Deluxe Garden View A disappointing stay. Despite being 45 sq. metres, the layout is poorly designed: • The shower is fully glassed and awkwardly placed near the entrance. • A huge amount of space is taken by the bathroom and bathtub, leaving the bed area cramped. • The wardrobe and safe are inconveniently placed at the far end of the room. • No dressing mirror near the bed. • Towels were stored in the toilet, not near the shower. • The terrace is small and uninviting, especially in bad weather. Overall, we do not recommend Room 101 or any of the “Deluxe Garden” or “Design Garden” rooms. Room 110 – Deluxe Terrace with Whirlpool A much better layout: • Smaller overall, but more user-friendly. • Bed faces the large windows, with mountain and side lake views. • Bathroom layout is more compact and practical. • The shared terrace offers lovely views, but also includes a direct view of the Congress construction site. • Sun reaches the terrace only after 1:30pm, and due to frosted glass dividers, there is no forward view when seated. ⸻ Pool, Spa & Common Areas • Outdoor pool area gets sun in t

We arrived through the buzzer gate and were welcomed but then had to stand awkwardly as no one then said anything to us. It was a good 10 minutes of awkwardly standing there before someone came to ask us if we wanted a drink and we explained we had a reservation for the bar but it was never asked to be proved with name and time. We took our seats and ordered with Simone the bar manager who was very attentive and friendly. The experience started out a little awkward but the evening soon improved with the live piano player and Simone’s service. When we paid our bill we asked if we could go out the main entrance of the hotel and Simone personally escorted us to the lobby and showed us the front of the hotel. We will be back for a drink and hopefully one day to stay at this luxury standard of hotel.

From the moment I entered the grounds, I was greeted with warmth and professional courtesy. The design of the hotel combines historical bones with modern flair, and add to that superlative service. The best check-in process ever, with a tour of the hotel, every question answered, shown personally to my room. What is unique here for a solo traveler was having a smaller room that allowed me to afford staying at this beautiful, elegant hotel while being treated as well as any other guest. Every detail in the room noted and appreciated, from the super soft linens, the toiletries, the in-room amenities and the overall comfort of even their smallest room (still a good size). Every staff member from front desk to housekeeping friendly and approachable. The included breakfast was like a work of art - beautifully displayed fruits, pastries, proteins, and the friendliest omelette chef who delivered my plate to my table. The food service at the Bistro was also superb - attentive staff and superlative food. During a short wait for my meal I was treated to a few samples from the chef, which was a nice touch. Gentle music from a talented piano player and one of the best backdrops for a restaurant with the lake and mountains below added to the relaxed, uplifting meal experience. I also visited the spa and highly suggest a massage - the staff is attentive and talented. The pool and garden area also immaculate, relaxing, with food and beverage service available. Two of the most relaxing days of a long trip, and I look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel

As a member of the Leading Hotels group we were promised an upgrade after having qualified with a previous stay and also a late check out. These are benefits I enjoy at Marriot Bonvoy for years. We weren‘r granted the upgrade, nor the late check out regardeless of qualifikation or online promises and spent an avarage employees monthly salary on a 2 night stay. Would definitely not recommend staying here! Book a Table for lunch and spend 50 Euro for 2 enjoying nicer views from the Restaurant than we did. from our „Parkside“ room. After dinner we didn‘t even get a table at the bar, all were taken by guests from outside ( we spoke actually to some)

Lido Palace was totally overpriced, we stayed at nicer hotels that were 4 stars and 2/3 the price in the Dolomites. The service was so-so and the food was mediocre. They took a beautiful old building and ruined it try to include modern elements. The only ting it has going for it is its location near the lake, bud despite this it was very overpriced for the experience.

This place is like heaven. We stayed here for two days to rest between hiking trips in Switzerland and the Dolomites. It was perfection. Private, yet accessible to everything. But you don’t really want to go anywhere. You want to stay at the hotel, enjoy the spa, the pool, the magnificent view, and the fabulous food. We particularly enjoyed eating at Zefiro, the fine dining option. The chef came out and introduced himself and shared his inspiration for the menu and each of the dishes. It was a very special evening and I highly recommend it.

We just recently returned from a stay at the Lido Palace Hotel and we were so pleased. It is a gorgeous property - beautifully designed and offers an incredible view of the lake and specious, well-appointed rooms. The buffet breakfast is bountiful and delicious. We loved our stay and will definitely recommend the hotel to all of our friends.

This hotel feels like home. It's so heartwarming to live there. The staff is the friendliest staff I've seen Best food on Garda, rooms are good and amenities too. Location is great, and pool and saunas are amazing! Very cool atmosphere and live music on dinner.
