Shangri-La Hotels with Gym

The staffs at counter desk were courteous, polite and well mannered and willing to go the extra mile to help by changing the room for me. Even the hotel cleaners were very courteous and well mannered which i appreciated them very much. This hotel has welcome self service drinks. I arrived too early for checkin and they accept my baggage and placed them behind their counter and gave me a reference tag for my baggage for security reason by so by matching the tag which i feel confident placing my baggage with the hotel.

I stayed in the suite at this hotel. It was a great and very comfortable stay. Everything about the suite was elegant and built for comfort. The hotel has a restaurant that makes delicious Yunnan inspired dishes. The yak stew and the potato dishes were especially good. The staff was nice and friendly although language presented a barrier. (Thankfully there are translation apps.). The pool was a little weird though. It's presented more like a pond in the middle of the hotel rooms. There seems to be only one access point to the pool and there is zero seating. Its rimmed by plants and trees. Very strange. But thats the only criticism of the hotel. Everything else meets and exceeds expectations of a hotel. And its within walking distance of the old town.

The hotel is located 1 km from the ancient town and is a 10-15 minute drive to the train station. The room was comfortable, and the water pressure and heater worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi was very stable as well. (For foreigners, do bear in mind, if you connect to hotel wifi, you would need to connect to VPN in order to use WhatsApp, IG or Youtube) This is a 9-year-old property, so there are some flaws that can be improved, but that is understandable. My only feedback is about the F&B restaurant; they only have one all-day dining option. Breakfast was alright, with more of a local selection. I stayed for two nights. On the first day, there was staff available to help me and serve my cafe latte order. However, on the second day, I did not see any staff on standby, so I had to make my own cafe latte (I had to froth the milk), which I found awkward. I wish the staff were more well trained, but I understand it is low season and the hotel probably hired part-timers for service. The best highlight of my stay was meeting a lady named Rose He, who is part of the guest services team (i think). She made recommendations on where to go and even found us a local driver to take us around. She was extremely kind and polite. We exchanged WeChat information, and she texted me when the weather turned cold or rainy. She also helped us to arrange complimentary transportation to the train station. It felt personalized. Shangri-La, if you are reading this, I believe she deserves a token of appreciation. She is the true star and a great example of “hospitality.” Overall, we were happy with our stay. Thank you.

The picture is of the hotel bar at 20.00. Totally closed. The rooms are quite modern and clean, no problems at all there. The location is a decent walk into the old town. Fine if you have a car, but there are probably better options if you're visiting the touristic locations. The biggest annoyance was when I arrived on crutches having hurt my ankle a couple of days before they just watched my struggle with my bags. After check-in, the small female receptionist did try to take my large bag, but couldn't lift. All while a larger male colleague just watched on. Breakfast was alright, not great. The worst overall mark of any of the hotels in China for me, by quite a distance.

The scenery is beautiful, the camp design is outstanding, and there is a heating pad on the bed. It is so comfortable. Knowing that we did not drive, ”Takumi” drove us down the mountain to eat and go back. Xiao Wu was so attentive and considerate to help us carry our luggage. If it rained, he would put it away in advance. He gave us a good umbrella and went to the camp restaurant in the evening. Thank you for drinking and chatting with us to relieve our boredom. He also escorted us out of the door. I really appreciated the boss's character and he was so funny. Although a few days have passed, I still can't forget the scenery of the camp. I hope I can come again next time. Finally, thank you for making our memories more colorful.

I arrived very early at the hotel, but that was no problem my upgraded room was ready. From start to finish I was beautifully looked after with nothing too much trouble. Thankyou. The language barrier was no issue with Wechat translate. The manager will book cars for you with drivers who know all the roots well. My room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The showers were hot with good pressure. There is little night life and it was very cold outside so the movie channel was much appreciated. There are restaurants and shops in a village 500 metres up the hill with a good pharmacy available. The hotel is just a 10 minute drive from tiger leaping gorge scenic spot via the ticket office. It well worth a visit to the rapids. Breakfast was sold as basic but was delicious, noodles eggs , boazi, fruit and lashings of honey tea and coffee. All in all a perfect 2 night stay, thankyou.

Our stay at snow mountain ice spring was amazing! We only spent 2 nights here and our entire itinerary was well organised by Ba San who helped us view all the major Bala Gezong scenic areas. Our transportation to and from the hotel and Shangrila station was also organised by the hotel staff, leading to a very well planned stay. The accommodation itself is huge and very comfortable and cosy, and the breakfast provided was so grand. Complimentary tickets for some activities was also provided, making this booking so value for money. While this hotel may be pricier than others, it is definitely very worth it and in our opinion, the only option you should consider for the Bala Gezong area.

Full marks for sanitation Full marks for facilities. It is not excessive to give full marks to such a high level on such a mountain There is nothing much to say about the environment. This stay was a great experience! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the warm and professional service made me feel comfortable. The room was spacious, bright, clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the facilities were complete and well-maintained, and the network was stable. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the toiletries were of good quality. The hotel breakfast was rich in variety and delicious, meeting different tastes. Highly recommended

The accommodation experience exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff. They quickly checked me in. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, there was hot water at night, and the floor heating was very warm. The daily cleaning service was very good, which made me feel like home. The location of the hotel is impeccable. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the Dukezong Ancient City. The hotel is outside the ancient city, very close to the north gate, and it only takes more than 10 minutes to get to the high-speed rail station by car. It is very convenient to travel. Their breakfast is a buffet breakfast, and the hotel's laundry room is fully equipped. In general, it is quite good, not only providing first-class hardware facilities, but also impeccable service. The price-performance ratio is very high. I highly recommend it to travelers who are looking for a comfortable accommodation experience. Next time I come to Shangri-La, I will definitely choose here again!
