The staff were very helpful and friendly definitely a good stay. And the location was great.

This hotel is located exactly at Nanjing Pedestrian Street road. Near to the malls and about 100 meters about from the metro station. It's a clean and comfortable. The downside is no lift to go from ground floor (receiption area) to the 1st floor. I had to bring my heavy luggage via staircase to the 1st floor and take small lift to my room. If you bring child stroller or a wheelchair, it will be very troublesome to bring it up to the 1st floor.

The Hotel is very nice and clean! It is located in the middle of Nanjing road which is very accessible.

Very easy access to tourist spots. Comfortable hotel. Most important is the front desk staffs are so friendly.

Pros: 1. Prime Location - Hotel is perfectly located at Nanjing Road, one of the busiest and most popular shopping streets in Shanghai. It is literally surrounded by a stretch of shops, eateries and street vendors. Plus, there is an alley behind the hotel where you can enjoy great local food. 2. Nearby amenities - Just across the street near the Conrad Hotel is a massage place that's ideal for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing / shopping. Super convenient and affordable. 3. Clean and Tidy 4. Friendly and Helpful staff Cons: 1. Small reception area - The reception area, while functional, is on the smaller side. There’s not much space to stand if you’re waiting in line, and it can get a bit crowded, especially when several guests are checking in or out at the same time. 2. Stairs to reach the lift - One major downside is the flight of stairs you need to climb to reach the lift lobby on the second floor. If you have heavy luggage, this could be a bit of a hassle, especially after a long day of walking around the city. 3. Tiny Lift - The elevator is incredibly small. It barely fits a few people along with their luggage, so it might feel a bit cramped, particularly during busy times when everyone’s heading to their rooms at once. 4. Noise Levels - Given the hotel’s central location on Nanjing Road, the street noise can be a bit overwhelming at times. If you're a light sleeper, you might find the hustle and bustle of the area a little disruptive, especially at night when the crowds linger. Overall, for the price and location and the hotel offers a solid option for those looking to stay right in the heart of Shanghai. The friendly staff, cleanliness and proximity to shopping and dining make it a convenient choice for travellers.

Good overall experience but so so considering price. We paid mostly for the location which is great and helped a lot for the trip! But as people have written already, room is small, entrance to the hotel is a bit tricky & being on a main popular street you should expect some noises. Also, we were unlucky with some maintenance and didn’t have warm water one night & light went off and on in the middle of the night twice another time (we were warned). Staff is ok but chill, not professionals. So overall, you come for the location for which you pay a premium, but not much to complain about the rest as it’s all expected and average

The location of the hotel is very convenient and the best, because it is near Nanjing Road, easy to travel by subway. There are many local restaurants, shopping malls and coffee shops in the hotel area. The room has no windows, but it is not stuffy, suitable for one-two person. In addition, it is clean and beautifully decorated. There is a housekeeper cleaning every day. You can sleep comfortably, even though there is some noise from the corridor. The staff is very welcoming and provides impressive service. Even though they can only speak a little English, it is not a problem for me. Next time I go to Shanghai, I will definitely consider staying here.

I recently stayed at Jinglai and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel's location is excellent—close to major attractions, restaurants, and metro, making it a convenient choice for travelers. One of the highlights of my stay was the staff. Everyone was incredibly generous and helpful. While the housekeeping service could have been better—bedsheets weren’t changed daily, and amenities weren’t always refilled—the room was still clean and comfortable. This minor issue didn’t take away from the overall positive experience. Despite this, I would still recommend Jinglai for anyone looking for a well-located and friendly place to stay.

The location is excellent! Super close to the subway station. You can get the hotel super easy from the airport and Hongqiao rail station.

Great location next to Nanjing shopping street and metro People’s Square. Good base for adventures. Rooms are small but reflect the pictures. Didn’t see the lounge area while I was there (didn’t really explore). Very helpful guest services.

Best Location near subway station (People’s Square)from PVG Airport. Nice Staff, clean room. Located just in front of M&M Store.

Best location, comfortable room, nice view from the window. You can find all that you need on the room. Just second floor with elevator and high long ladder, it’s not comfortable for baggage. Cleaning personal was very noisy, every day they had some conflicts between each other in corridor.

Very convenient hotel. Right in nanjing road, opposite M&M. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Spacious enough for 4 adults in a room. Only downside is there is no lift from lobby up to the first level where the lift is. So you may need to carry you luggage up to take the lift. However, staff is very helpful to help. The lift is also very small. Max 4 adults in a lift with no luggage.
