Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel on the Bund Reviews

Firstly, Thanks for the great hospitality & helpful from a girl at front desk name Sunny. The location is close to Yu Garden Metro Station, And also walkable to Yu Garden. And its convenience and not far to go other hotspot from the hotel. Have a nice trip there.

This is one of the better hotel at Shanghai near bund area. If there is room available, early check in is possible. The room is big and staffs are all very friendly. Train station exit 3 just opposite the hotel. And to our surprise, the hotel staff gave a ***** moon advance present lantern to us. I will definitely book this hotel again

As a solo traveller, location is top priority to me. With this hotel, the location is great with metro station less than 5 mins away and yu garden is within walking distance. Nanjing Pedestrian Walk and Bund are 1 stop away and you can walk over if you want to. In my opinion, this location is pretty central and you can get to anywhere via metro. Service is awesome and my room is always cleaned up by the time I am back at the hotel.

Overall a good hotel to stay. Breakfast was good. We had enough choiches for european/western breakfast. We had 3 night in a family room with a great view, good firm beds. Only minor point was that the swimming pool felt a bit claustrofobic and there was too much smell of chloor. My husband and myself skipped the pool. Nonetheless, our kids still liked to swim in there.

Location near Yu Garden. Comfortable hotel. Thank you for the birthday surprise for my twin boys! Makes the trip unforgettable!

We had a wonderful stay at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient—right beside Yu Garden, with several shopping malls and food stalls nearby, and the metro station just right across the street. Getting around the city was so easy from this central location. What truly made our stay memorable was the excellent service from the staff, especially Ms. Hannie. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to assist us—helping with our itinerary, suggesting great places to visit, and even advising us on all our queries with our trip. Her fluent English was a huge help, as she was the only staff member we encountered who could communicate clearly in English. We truly appreciated her warm and attentive service throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai!

The services are top notch, the rooms are cleaned very well even after every room service.

I know about the new policy about the amenities, however some of them are necessary as too rush.

Located next to Yu Garden. Old hotel, a little worn but rooms are comfortable, although there were a bit of cigarette smell. AC wasn't working very well but overall a comfortable stay. Breakfast was so so, service was great.

Compliments to Daniel for outstanding service and being extremely helpful when my kids lost their buddy bear who has been travelling with them. May thanks again for re-uniting them with buddy bear! Top marks to Dan :)

We have 3 adults and 2 kids this hotel room is perfect for us. The location is excellent it’s very close to the metro station. It’s walkable distance to the bund (around 15-20 minutes walk).

Nice hotel, 5-10mins walk to yu garden. Walk 1.5km to the bund .
