Popular Seoul 4-star Hotels

Firstly, good location, less than 10min walk from City hall station, while there r also a few other stations which are not too far away. Walking distance to Myeongdong and to Insadong (20min). Secondly, amenities are comprehensive with bidet, water kettle, fridge and hair dryer. But fridge was very noisy so we turned it off. Bed is comfortable, I would have wished only that I have one more pillows (instead of only one). Didn't pay extra for breakfast since I preferred to eat out.

Last year I stayed at Voco in Gangnam and had a good impression of this brand, so I chose to stay at Voco again this time. However, the service was not as meticulous as that of the Gangnam branch. The mini bar was not replenished every day, and the hotel slippers were taken away during cleaning but no new pair was given. My friend called the front desk to ask for them, and they only delivered one pair. However, the hotel's advantages outweighed its disadvantages. The hotel's location is very convenient, with buses and subways right in front of the hotel. The hotel environment and facilities are also very new. Next time I come, I think I will still choose this hotel.

The service staff on the phone and check in are very abrupt. For example, before we made the booking, we called the hotel to inquire, the staff told us that the superior double room cannot accommodate 3 person, therefore we booked 2 rooms. However when we arrived, we checked into a superior deluxe room with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. It was exactly what we needed. We didn't need the extra room we booked after all. The room and bed is worn out and very basic. Even though the room smells old and stale, the room was generally clean. Overall the hotel is in an excellent location near the subway and myeongdong street. Good for non-fussy tourists who won't be spending much time in the room.

This is my 2nd times at Kukdo. I’m very impressed and recommended. The location is very good that near by MRT Eunjiro 4-ga exit 10, just walk 2-3 mins (~1XX m.). And you can walk from the hotel to Gwangjang Market, Myeong-dong, and also Dongdaemun . I love it.!!! From Incheon Airport, you can take an Airport limousine bus no.6015 (17,000 KRW) and bus will stop at the front of the hotel, no need to cross the road or else. And when you back to the Airport, you can wait the bus at same bus stop as when you arrived. It is vey very comfortable location.

Sejong hotel is right outside exit 10 of myeongdong subway. The night market is 5minutes walk from hotel, walkable to Lotte young mall, etc. many choices of meal options mainly Korean. Hotel is clean, bug free and generous bottles of hygiene products in bathroom. Reception staff can improve on friendliness . Airport bus limousine is available nearby and can return and arrive in comfort from Incheon airport without lugging heavy luggage in subway. 👍 Recommended !

The location of Skypark Hotel is very comfortable for the travelers. It’s very close to 2 subway stations and only 7 mins walk from DDP. The room itself was very cosy and nice, but a bit small. There was everything we needed in the room. The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. What about the service though… The man at the front desk was pretty professional, but very cold. He took our passports, quickly pressed some buttons on the electronic kiosk, gave us the paper with the codes, very briefly explained how to use it and send us to the elevator without giving us any time to realize what is happening. Very quick check in and check out. The cleaning lady was very polite, helpful and understanding.

The hotel is located at the city hall side and right in front of the Seoul public library and a nice out door walkway with the statue of king who created Korean language and a respected general (from the movie: the general). Its a bit far (walking) to myeong dong for night snack market. The room is big, back to 90s decorations but comfortable stay. The room I stayed had a bath tub so it was nice to soak my feet in hot water after a long day walk. The water pressure is amazing! Good location if you need to do banking here as all the banks are located this side. Got self service laundry machines 5000 won for washer and 5000 won for dryer

Pros: Location is very good, just about 7 mins walking distance to either City Hall station or Hoehyeon station. About 10 mins walking distance to Myeongdong and Namdaemun. Very convenient. Check in/out hassle free. Can keep luggages in the locker for free only for the first 12 hrs. There’s coin laundry at the basement which really helped us not necessary to bring too many clothes. They provide lotions, moisturizers, eye & lip make up remover in the room. Room size is decent, slightly small for 3 adults. Bathroom is fine, there’s bathtub as well. Cons: Breakfast buffet not many varieties, there’s no egg station. We didn’t book the room with breakfast but we decided to try the buffet breakfast and pay KRW 19,800, but we’re a bit disappointed with the breakfast spread. From our 6 nights stay, there’s one day we’re slightly late go out (around 10.30am) the housekeeping didn’t vacuum the floor and carpet in the room, didn’t replenish the toiletries, didn’t really make the bed properly and didn’t clean the shower area properly.

Right where all the action of Myeong-dong street market is! Staff were helpful. Able to store luggage at the lobby before check-in and after check out. Toilets are equipped with smart bidet (yay! with seat warmer!!!! so nice in cold weather). Room is clean, though looked a lil rundown, but still acceptable, given that we were mostly out. Halal food available at the street market too (The halal lamb skewer was the best I've had)! The strawberries, grapes that tasted like sweet jellly, (its a no wonder SG markets sells them soo expensive!) On weekdays, street market starts at 5pm, on weekend, it starts by afternoon. Apart from street markets, Lotte store is within walking distance for those who wishes to spend on the higher end products. Not to forget, Olive Young is all the rage there, especially during their sale for that Korean glass skincare! Managed to snag some Kpop items for kids back home. The light sticks were way cheaper than in Singapore, and there were so many merch and photocards available. Even the lomo cards are nice! The airport transfer bus is within walking distance from the hotel. The bus will stop at a few hotels within the area to pick up passengers heading along the way or towards airport. We took the airport transfer bus on a weekend to Incheon Airport Terminal 1. It cost 17000 won/per pax. Journey took nearly 2hrs, considering the weekend traffic at noon. Can't wait to visit again!

Hotel is located around 5 mins walk from main subway, Chungmuro. It is not walking distance to Myeongdong, it is 1 station away. The room is clean and we are glad there's 3 good size single bed (Seoul hotel bed sizes are quite small). Right beside the hotel there's a row of few BBQ shop - super good but long queue - patronized by mostly local. Worth the wait, good price compare to Myeongdong - around won15,00 per beef set. At Chungmuro - many more food and shops available. For the price, Hotel PJ is good option for us. Take note that the Airport Limo (Won17,00 per pax to airport) time schedule provided by the hotel is not most accurate as the list states last bus leave at 19:55 but truth is there a lot of available timing - best to refer to airport limo website and route. Breakfast is reasonably good.
