"Good room and a great location right next to the pier. However, the location of our room was a bit strange, as it was directly beside the public walkway. People kept walking past the window and even sitting outside sometimes, so there was almost no privacy. The room was also quite noisy. You could constantly hear people banging doors when opening and closing them, and the walls were very thin — we could easily hear people talking and even their TV from the neighboring rooms. The funny part was that the fire alarm suddenly went off at 6:50 AM and woke everyone up. To make up for it, the hotel offered us free breakfast, which was a nice gesture, but unfortunately we had to rush out."

"Just got back from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, and my stay at Gerdi Guesthouse was incredibly satisfying! The location is super convenient; it's just a few minutes' drive to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, making it a perfect base for exploring the glacier region. The guesthouse itself is very quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. While the rooms are simple, they are tidy and clean, with comfortable beds, sufficient heating, and all the basic amenities. What truly stood out was the warm service! The front desk staff were very friendly and communicative, which made us feel very welcome. Overall, Gerdi is an excellent value-for-money option. It perfectly met all our core needs for comfort, convenience, cleanliness, quietness, and warm hospitality. As a functional and comfortable guesthouse, it truly excels. I highly recommend it to anyone self-driving to Jökulsárlón and the Vatnajökull glacier area who is looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay!"

"The location is better to find, when you are on the 1st highway, you can see the steeple church on the north side of the uphill slope. The hotel's environment is comfortable and clean, the breakfast is simple, and all the ingredients needed for the sandwiches are made by themselves. This is basically the case in Northern Europe. The hostess is warm but feels a bit harsh."

"Harry Country Hotel is truly amazing value! The rooms are clean and bright, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and you can see the glacier or the sea just by opening the curtains in the morning. The breakfast selection is extensive and fresh, and the lamb dishes are superb. It's only a 10-minute drive from the glacial lagoon, and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Iceland! Highly recommended!"

"The room and the shared area are clean but one disadvantage is that you can hear each movement from your upstairs or outside your room, even they walked. Besides, the self- service laundry is a bit overpriced for us although maybe I do not have much idea on how the market price in Iceland shall be. The location is quite ok and parking is convenient. And there is sufficient space for the shared area to no matter enjoy your meal or take a rest. By the way, the bed is too soft for us and the amenities in the room is quite simple especially the coat hanger."
