"I have stayed at this hotel many times, but this was by far my most terrible experience. First, when I entered the room, it was obvious that the floor had not been cleaned properly. There was visible dust everywhere, and it honestly felt like the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned after the previous guest checked out. Second, I found a pair of slippers left behind by a previous guest under the bed. This clearly shows that the housekeeping staff did not clean the room carefully. Third, and most importantly, after the housekeeping staff cleaned my room during the day, I returned in the evening and immediately noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. I even asked my friend, who was staying in the room next door, if he could smell it, and he said yes. I am allergic to cigarette smoke, so this became a serious problem for me. I couldn’t sleep that night. I left the room door open for several hours (fortunately no one walked past), hoping the smell would disappear. Unfortunately, it didn’t. I ended up using almost half a bottle of odor-eliminating spray, but the smell still lingered. The front desk staff were polite and helpful, so I appreciate their service. However, the housekeeping staff have serious hygiene and professionalism issues. Housekeeping staff should never smoke before entering guests’ rooms, because the smell stays on their clothes and can easily transfer into the room, causing great discomfort to guests, especially those who are sensitive or allergic to cigarette smoke. This was the worst stay I’ve ever had at this hotel, and I sincerely hope the management takes this issue seriously and improves the housekeeping standards."

"I took a Grab from around Kampar Station, and it cost about RM30 to get there. It's a lovely place, surrounded by trees. I stayed in a villa with a terrace over the pond. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. You get fish food, so you can feed the fish right from your terrace. The hot spring isn't very large, but there weren't many guests, so I could relax and enjoy it. It's a bit lukewarm, but that meant I could soak in it for a long time, which was very pleasant. The natural water pool area had two pools of different depths and sizes. It was a bit chilly in the morning, but I imagine it would be nice in the afternoon or when it's sunny. The food menu isn't extensive, but the prices are reasonable, and it's delicious. Overall, I found it to be a very relaxing and wonderful place."

"Booked the room (outside bathtub) via trip.com, the receptionist arrange me to another room type (inside bathtub) and claimed that trip.com has reserve the wrong room type with them. I report the problem to the property owner and she said that the inside bathtub room type has fully booked. It’s really disappointing to receive such response from her. The receptionist called and offer me to upgrade to jacuzzi room, but I insisted on the original room type that we booked. At the end, thanks to the customer who willing to change the room type with us and the receptionist who willing to raise this to another customer. The owner did not apologies at all. Really disappointed with her attitude."

"The most unique feature of this guesthouse is its over 100-year-old Malay cottage, which even retains photos of the original owner. Walking up the stairs is quite interesting. However, the house is entirely wooden, with many gaps that can't be sealed, resulting in a large number of ants and flying insects. The garden offers opportunities to pick oranges, rambutans, and eat durian, which is quite interesting. Its location is only suitable for those traveling by car. The service was somewhat disappointing. When there was no hot water at night, I called the manager, and he dragged his feet, making over a dozen calls before finally sending someone. The efficiency is nowhere near that of places in China. Also, she took some photos of me and asked if I could access the internet. I said no, please send me the photos. She verbally agreed but never sent them, and I don't know if her photos were even shared online."

"We stayed at Hijau Camp & Cabin and had such a memorable retreat. Our villa was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, complete with a private pool, perfect for families who want both comfort and closeness to nature. The fullboard meals were delicious and served in eco-friendly tiffins. Upon arrival, we received a quick briefing and were informed that the main gate closes at 8pm, which was very useful to know. Nearby activities are plentiful, from hiking and waterfall excursions to ATV rides and water rafting or you can simply relax by the serene river just steps away. Our jungle trek with Mr. Fendi was educational and fun, and we were so thankful to Mr. Faiz for capturing lovely family photos before we left. 📌 Things to note: • The road leading up to the accommodation is quick and steep, which might not be suitable for wheelchairs or lowered cars. • The gate closes at 8pm, so plan your outings accordingly. • Wi-Fi and phone signal may be limited in certain areas (great for a digital detox, but plan ahead if you need connectivity) Overall, an unforgettable stay with spacious rooms, excellent hospitality, and plenty of nature activities. In sha Allah, we’ll definitely be back! 🌿"
