Scenic Hotels in Qingyuan

"At the tail end of the summer vacation, we took our kids to Qingyuan Chimelong Forest Kingdom and chose to stay at Deer Castle Hotel. The resort is conveniently located not far from the highway exit, with clear signage. The roads, which appear to have been recently built, are wide and clean. As it was a weekend and the end of the holiday, there were quite a few guests checking in. The underground parking was full, so we had to park in an adjacent lot, which was a bit of a walk. This alternative parking area also seemed unfinished, with a gravel/stone surface rather than being properly paved – definitely something that could be improved. Due to the crowd, check-in involved a rather long wait, suggesting that efficiency and service could be enhanced. The hotel kindly offered a complimentary upgrade to a hot spring room. The main advantages were its larger size and the convenience of having a private hot spring tub right in the room. However, I felt it lacked some 'family-friendly' touches in terms of decor or patterns. But since our kids are older, they weren't too bothered by this. The hotel boasts a dedicated direct passage to the Forest Kingdom, allowing guests to enter 30 minutes earlier, which is quite convenient. However, due to the high occupancy rate, despite the numerous elevators, we often experienced long waits. Our package included a buffet dinner and access to the hot springs. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and the restaurant itself was spacious. With ample time allocated, we could truly savor the food and relax! The hot spring area featured a large number and wide variety of pools, along with many water play facilities, which our children absolutely loved. The Forest Kingdom houses a significant number of animals. While some can be seen in other zoos, Qingyuan Chimelong truly stands out for the sheer quantity, with most animals appearing in large herds or groups. The variety of species was also quite impressive, far exceeding the online rumors of 'only Qingyuan chickens.' The steam train ride is definitely worth the wait; it lasts about 30 minutes and offers a fantastic opportunity for close encounters with various wild animals – truly great value for money! The 5 PM parade is also a must-see. It has a fantastic atmosphere with lots of interactive performers who effectively get everyone immersed in the joyful celebration, creating a wonderfully relaxed holiday vibe! In contrast, the so-called 'Great Animal Migration' felt a bit of a misnomer and somewhat underwhelming. It mostly consisted of flocks of birds flying back and forth and zebras moving around, which was a tad disappointing. The Forest Kingdom also has a large self-driving loop that is yet to open; I hope it will add even more excitement! Our butler, Zhiyin, was very responsive and professional in answering our questions, truly showcasing the hotel's attentive service! Overall, it was a very satisfying trip!"

"The view is very beautiful to look at, especially at night where the lights shine. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym which is really good when you want to have a workout. The service here is great and the people here at this hotel is very nice. Come here if you get a chance, too."

"We spent 3 nights with kids. Check-in: very smooth and easy. English speaking stuff Anna Zhang was very helpful and gave us an orientation tour. She also added our WeChat so we can contact for any issues. Thumbs up! Rooms: Large and balcony viewing the lake. We are two adults and 3 kids we needed 2 rooms with 2 beds each. Activities: Evening activities were fun. The hotels provides vouchers for some activities for free. Some need a fee which are quite expensive. Like boating on the lake or bicycle. Gym: well equipped for an hotel gym. Smith machine and up to 50 lbs dumbbells. Kids club and playground: All was good. Clean and we'll maintained. I didn't used the restaurants or had breakfast include so can't rate that. Overall good experience"

"This was my second stay at New World. I'm very grateful to New World's GRO Alison for all her help, from booking to check-in. Her responsiveness during my stay was excellent; I barely had to worry about anything, allowing me to fully immerse myself in and enjoy the hotel experience. As it was the tail end of the summer holiday, New World was indeed very popular with families. The hotel was quite busy during my three-day stay, which to some extent affected the overall experience. Both the hotel's breakfast and dinner buffets are highly recommended. They offer a good selection with a distinct local flavor. Alison also helped upgrade me to a suite upon check-in, which provided a much better experience. Being on a higher floor and surrounded by trees felt wonderful. Personally, I'd recommend the higher-floor rooms over the courtyard-facing ones for more quiet and privacy. New World's spa is definitely worth experiencing. The entire process and treatment were very comfortable and relaxing. Having stayed here twice, I personally feel New World is more suitable for younger guests. Its overall Japanese minimalist style, coupled with the hotel's layout and ambiance, makes for an excellent experience for young people."

"An underrated treasure homestay: a peaceful and tranquil habitat, with a balcony that takes in the entire lake view! Very comfortable ☀️The homestay is very design-conscious, clean and sanitary, the housekeeper service is friendly, and the bedding and supplies are of good quality! The surprise is: the courtyard is very photogenic hahaha! Although it is not the rainy season yet and the lake is not full, it is interesting to sit on the balcony and watch the water and listen to the forest! Recommended as a test sleeper!"

"This B&B is absolutely amazing! It's in a wonderfully quiet location, right next to a clear stream. The gurgling water creates a melodious sound, like a beautiful musical performance by nature. The water is so clean, and you can see rocks and small fish swimming beneath the surface, which is incredibly relaxing. The rooms are warm and comfortable, with soft beds, ensuring a good night's sleep. The windows face the stream, and waking up in the morning, opening the curtains, you can enjoy the beautiful view, which is incredibly relaxing. The surroundings are also beautiful, with fresh air and no city noise or pollution. Here, you can truly enjoy the tranquility and relaxation. The B&B owner and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, offering helpful advice and assistance. The dining at the B&B is also excellent, serving delicious local specialties. Overall, this B&B by the stream left a lasting impression on me. It's a truly wonderful place you won't want to leave. I highly recommend it to everyone! The guests are also very friendly, and it's a pleasure to share travel experiences with everyone. In short, this B&B left a very deep impression on me. "After staying in the city for a long time, it is really a pleasure to live in the mountains occasionally. It is about a 20-minute drive from Bijia Mountain. Pass the Bijia Mountain Ticket Office and continue up the mountain. The rooms are clean and tidy, with full wifi coverage. Each room has a hot tub and heating. Other activities in the hotel include a country-style park, a country-style KTV, and automatic mahjong machines. Firewood-fired cauldron for human bath: Make an appointment in advance, they really use firewood to boil water, add mugwort to soak in the water, it feels quite special, but it is very hot. Himalayan Salt Steaming: Open from afternoon to 11:30pm. It's a bit like a sauna but not that hot. You can stay in it for more than half an hour and it's quite comfortable. "The hotel is really good. When I checked in, I asked my lady where there is authentic farm food nearby. I wanted to eat a Qingyuan chicken. Miss sister introduced that our buffet in the restaurant on the second floor of the hotel was also very good! Think about it and go to the second floor to eat, there is really a surprise... I ate a crispy meat and slippery Zhouxin roast meat, there are many fried sea fish and pretzel shrimps... The price can definitely be called hahaha.
