Wow I love the neatness of the hotel and also enjoyed my stay it has the sea view, I must say the breakfast was so nice and the front desk were really helpful This guy called Eason really assisted me with all I needed from getting to the hotel, to the yacht ride and every thing I needed during my stay It was an amazing stay and an amazing experience in Sanya

Jason, the butler is considerate. He upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite facing Phoenix Island, after our original bedroom had some issues with the wall plugs and the bathtub.

The hotel has a great view and the location is perfect. But the facilities are a little bit old. The door in our room was incredibly loud 🤣 the staff was polite and super kind. All in all this hotel is just fine. Not the best one in Sanya, but acceptable.

Hotel room is very clean and comfortable. It has very beautiful sea view. Located near the walking street and the famous nigh market. There is a beautiful park just outside the hotel.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Swimming pool was big and clean . There are coffee shop and supermarket in the 1st floor which was convenient. Next time definitely will come back

Good experience, the rooms are large and beautiful views as well I stayed in 1817 for 5 nights, everything was great during my stay . Staff are very polite and helpful.

You can stay in your room and enjoy the Sea view and the hotel room was a very comfort

The location of the hotel is prime, however there are some construction sites near the hotel which made it quite noisy at times. Due to this, the hotel staff was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite (shown in the pictures) overlooking the beautiful view. We were also blessed to have Wendy, a client liaison, assigned to us to attend to our needs. She shared helped tips and activities. Though the view is stunning, there are helicopters flying to and from the island to which this hotel is looking. Be informed that this does spoil a peaceful atmosphere when being in the room or on the balcony. The food was great, as there was a wide variety of dishes and sitting outside topped off the holding feeling.

Excellent service from the moment I checked in. Eason was assigned to help me with any questions I had and he was very quick to respond. The room was excellent and spotlessly clean. The gym was also a great feature in this hotel which I used daily. I can't recommend this hotel enough and I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Thanks to Butler Wendy who is helpful in helping us upgrade to a Bigger and Better Sea View Apartment. It comes with a bathtub on the balcony. We just arrived at the hotel (after a red eye flight), she recommended a Coconut Chicken Hot pot next to the hotel and even brought us there. She constantly checks in with us to ensure that our stay is comfortable. Pros: 1. The location is convenient near the Sanya City so traveling around for food and attractions is easy with DiDi (taxi). 2. The bed is comfy. The apartment comes with a washing machine, fridge and induction cooker (but may have to ask them for the pots) 3. Breakfast is a good spread with Chinese and Western food options. Most importantly, breakfast time is till 1 pm. Cons: 1. Wifi is very very weak, and can't be used at all. And being a tourist (foreigner) we have to use our precious data roaming. 2. There is no chair and table at the balcony which does not allow us to sit and relax at the balcony. 3. The Swimming pool strangely is located outside of the hotel in a public space. So it feels weird going down for a swim. 4. There is no beach front but there is a beautiful pathway leading to Phoenix Island, so the walking and jogging is pleasant.

In general, everything was good. Minnie was very helpful in renting us a car. Thank you.

Excellent location with view of Phoenix Island, easy access to the coastal trail along the bay and near to supermarket and night market. Butler Minnie was responsive and helpful. The apartment was spacious and clean. Highly recommended for a family vacation.

When I arrived at this hotel I thought Wow it looks magnificent. Simply stunning. The reception staff were very attentive and helpful and always couldn’t do enough. The room was massive and it had a beautiful view from the 11th floor. Even the breakfast was open until 1pm! Sounds perfect. Clearly the typhoon has had an impact. The place was almost empty which was sad. And I think the place was a little old fashioned compared to some I have stayed at. Some of the staff clearly didn’t live there jobs too much. Outside of the reception staff, the experience wasn’t great. Every day the coffee machine in the restaurant spits out cold cappuccinos. I commented this to several staff, but they just looked at me said no. There was a guy there to make fresh eggs but everytime I asked for one he just said no. When we went to the beautiful pool setting we asked for towels to sit by the pool. Most days it was fine. But on a couple of days they ran out of towels. There was literally no one by the pool. I had to go in and ask at reception. I don’t want to take anything away from the reception staff. They were superb. With a little bit of training this place could be amazing!
