Hotel very well located. Italian restaurant just opposite, and the beach 50m away. The streets nearby are lively. Only downside: no space for a vehicle.

Sehr freundlicher Service, reichhaltiges Buffet und tolle Familienzimmer. Nur die durchgehende Steinplatte über die man 5 Meter im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ins Meer rutschen muss, ist recht gefährlich und für ältere Menschen nicht machbar. Ansonsten ist das Meer am Lavastrand sehr schön und sauber. Die Atmosphäre an den beiden Pools hat mir persönlich nicht gefallen: entweder lag man eng neben dem Restaurant auf dem Präsentierteller oder man fand sich hinter der Rezeption in einer Kinderbespassungsorgie wieder, die selbst meine Teenager genervt hat. Vielleicht in der Vor- und Nachsaison besser. An der Promenade von Perissa lässt es sich schön flanieren, allerdings gibt es nur die üblichen Souvenirs Shops. Aber man muss ja nicht immer konsumieren!

We had visited the Aqua Vatos in 2015 when it was a lovely little boutique hotel. Unfortunately it seems to have not been maintained much since then. On the plus side it is in a great location in the centre of Kamari. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and there is still a nice atmosphere in the hotel. However, the breakfast was appalling. Dirty, mismatched crockery and cutlery and poor quality food. Hot food put out at 7am but breakfast didn’t start til 8am! The coffee from a machine was the worst i have ever tasted. We had to go out for breakfast everyday! The pool area is looking very tired - sunbeds with torn cushions and steps into the deep end of the pool were rusted and loose. Also you cannot use the pool until 11am - not good when the sun is blazing. Several people wandered in off the street and used the pool and sunbeds. There is a pool bar but be aware the barman never seems to have change so you end up overpaying for drinks. There is no evening bar which is such a shame.

A good location if you want to be in Kamari, close to all the shops and the beach. Staff are excellent, very friendly, can provide you with suggestions as to locations to visit and they also arranged for our transport. Pros: 1. Location of hotel 2. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. 3. Clean rooms, towels get changed daily. 4. All shops, restaurants are in walking distance, literally outside the hotel entrance. 5. A 4 minute walk to the beach. 6. Prices in Kamari are generally much cheaper than Fira or Oia. Cons: 1. Pool area could do with a refurbishment. 2. Breakfast has very little choice although the fresh melons are excellent. 3. Tiled floors in bedrooms can become very slippery if wet. 4. All beds are made of solid concrete which may be an issue if you slip or hit your nees. 5. No elevator. Overall pleased with our stay, and the staff are all very nice, welcoming and helpful.
