I loved my visit here with the family. The hotel is classed as 3*. I think everyone's interpretation of 3* is different. We were not disappointed. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are a good size with air conditioning, refrigerator, TV and a hairdryer in the bathroom. There are no cooking facilities in the rooms, which was fine for us as we enjoy eating out. The shower, as mentioned previously is on the small size but perfectly manageable and yes there is a shower curtain but it was never a problem as the bathroom floor is tiled with a drain so if water leaks over it has somewhere to go. Irini and her family are very helpful. The air conditioning in our room was broken when we arrived and we were moved immediately to another room. We asked for extra pillows and they were provided straight away. The beds are very comfortable, the pillows are soft and snuggly. There is plenty of storage space. Each room has their own outside seating area. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and well maintained. The pool is quite large and filled with sea water which in my opinion is better than chlorine, so I was happy. There is an elevated sun bathing area with parasols and beds. Breakfast is continental, so if you are expecting a fry up or cereal this place isn't for you. There was fresh watermelon, pastries, cakes, bread, cheese and cold cuts as well as orange juice, water and coffee/tea. Perfectly acceptable breakfast to start the day. Akrotiri itself is small but with various restaurants, car hire, pharmacy, a couple of shops and a supermarket all 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel and a main bus stop in the village. Buses to Fira is €2 per person. Not sure of the cost to other towns but inexpensive. We got a taxi back from Fira and it cost our family of four €40. Irini helped us hire a car for the day which cost us €70 and we also did a boat trip for the day which cost €51 per person. The hotel does provide drinks and snacks, there is a price list on main reception but we didn't purchase anything. Overall we had a fantastic weeks stay and would definitely book here again if we ever visit Santorini.

The breakfast was filling enough to give you a good start to the day. The room was clean and spacious with plenty of clothing storage and the bathroom was simple and clean. We had a patio with chairs, TV, hairdryer. It would have been nice to have a kettle. Eileen was very welcoming and polite. We were late arriving - past 1am in the morning but we were still welcomed with enthusiasm. We would book this hotel again. The buses are only EUR2 to Fira and run every half hour. Akrotiri is a very quiet town with one main road, it's a real escape from the busier towns but has its own charm.

Beautiful hotel, me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Bed linens and towels changed regularly. Lovely breakfast of breads, meats, cheese and fresh fruit. The lady who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is in the quiet part of the island so lots of privacy, would recommend getting a quad to get around the rest of the island.

Agreed this hotel is clean, but the management is mean & penny pinching. We originally arrived at 2pm to be told they will not check anyone in until 3pm even though rooms were ready. At 3 pm we were shown our room, which was spacious. This was the first hotel in Greece that did not provide bottled water. The tap water is too salty to clean your teeth. There is also no coffee or tea utensils. At 6 pm I needed ice. All the doors to reception were locked. The manager eventually opened the door & told me reception was only open at 3pm & in the morning during breakfast hours. She begrudgingly gave me a small glass of ice. I asked for two glasses (none in the room). Breakfast was very disappointing. A large plate of stone cold scrambled eggs prepared an hour beforehand (we arrived when breakfast opened) and cold stale toasted sandwiches. The coffee was very weak and the juice was nasty. Average pastries. All this was accompanied by a very loud church service, the best day we enjoyed a political debate on the TV. I did not encounter one greek guest.

A fabulous small, very clean family run hotel. A big plus for us was that it’s very quiet. Not party land at all which we loved. There is a very short walk to the village with lovely little tavernas and a well stocked supermarket. The atmosphere is very tranquil and the locals are friendly. The pool is well maintained and always plenty of sun beds. The staff are very obliging and helped to arrange a quad bike hire and an amazing sunset boat trip. We are sad to be going home and would highly recommend this for a peaceful holiday.

We liked the staff very much and the pool. The building and greens was nice. The bathroom was small. The breakfast was simple. No brown bread or toaster. Coffee was cold. But all in all, we loved our stay.

Stayed for 4 nights in June for our honeymoon, had a great stay. Even came in to a little card and flowers from the hotel, nice touch. Hotel is beautiful, has everything you need and all well maintained. We had the pool to ourselves most days. Breakfast is basic continental and the coffee is superb, the terrace is just a beautiful setting. The lady who runs the hotel is very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Just a short 5 minute walk to the local village where there are a 5-6 bars, restaurants, shop, pharmacy. The bus stop is just outside the hotel, but we rented a car to get get out and see the rest of the island (cost approx 50 euros for 24 hours). The area is more relaxed than the busier parts of the island (Oia & Fira) but was just what we wanted. Overall a perfect honeymoon destination.
