The property manager Anastasia is outstanding and does her best to fix any problems. When we booked this, we were unaware that it was about a 6 minute little hike up a hill on an old cobblestone path. They do have a young man who will help with the luggage. But if you have mobility issues at all, probably this is not a good option. The 2 bedroom suite looked nice however there was a horrendous smell in one of the bedroom/bathrooms (a sewer smell). We closed the door to avoid the smell escaping and kept our belongings out of the room. Anastasia was wonderful and returned back and worked a little magic that helped clear up the smell though we stayed away from that bathroom for fear it would return (which it was beginning to do the following morning). The living area is very small with just a big chair so there is really nowhere to sit or place suitcases. The outside area was spacious and the hot tub was warm with incredible views. The stairs into the suite are a bit dangerous, especially if wet so use caution. They do supply plenty of bathroom amenities which were very nice. And there were a few food items in the kitchen. We had a very early flight so Anastasia met us to help us down the hill in the dark. Overall not a bad place as long as you are aware it is difficult to reach and nowhere to spread out if weather is bad outside. And Anastasia makes the property much better!

This stay really made my Santorini trip perfect to say the least. The host was an absolute ANGEL. I came in a day later than I expected and there is no receptionist at the location so Maria (the host) was at the suite early in the morning around 8AM to welcome me to the suite. She arranged transportation for us and when we got there The place was very beautiful, clean and homey. You do have to walk up some steps but there is staff present to help you with your luggage for check in/out. Maria made sure to prepare a breakfast basket every morning and communicated with us every day to make sure we were okay and asked if we needed anything. Without her, I don’t think our experience would’ve been this great. I loved the privacy and we had a beautiful sunset view but you can easily find beautiful stays… this place was gorgeous but what really makes this place stand out the best is because of the service. Maria made you feel like you had a friend on the Island and was there for you if you had any questions or concerns whether it related to Aecon Suites or not, she offered herself every time with a bright smile! :)

I had a lot of expectations about this place, and really looking forward to my stay there. They dont have a specific parking place so you have to park near by and walk all the way up to the hotel with your luggage and food the way to the hotel is very steepy and its very tiering. The place is a very interesting concep however the hot tub didnt work( water was cold) and internet was intermitent I was doing some remot working so that really complicated my stay. Weather was windy and it was very noisy up there, difficcult to sleep. I also forgot some adapters and was never contacted from the property to return them. When talking to staff about hot tub they said " couldnt do anything about it" they offered that I could use the one from the other appartment only for one night. Also bed is in a second flor and kitchen and bathroom are on the lower floor, so you prepare to go up and down stairs a lot also steps are uneven so be careful. View is amazing.

Sadly, we could only stay here for one night as we were moving on to another venue in Santorini. The correspondence via WhatsApp after booking was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful, especially with taking our details passport information before we checked in to save time. We did have a late(ish) arrival so we arrived at close to the property around 19.15, where we were met by a member of the Aecon team, and a rather decent fellow who carried our suitcases on his shoulders on can only be described as an unforgiving 6 minute trek to our destination. The property is slick, similar in design and styling to Oia Suites Santorini who are actually the owners of Aecon Suites (My receipt for my stay at Aecon had Oia Suites on the top of the receipt and the staff member confirmed this). We stayed in the windmill itself, which is beautifully presented and the use of space inside is excellent, with a great shower, toilet, kitchen facility, with coffee machine, plates etc, great bed, big TV, and Aircon. Natural light was not great, but ample lighting and power sockets available. The outdoor space was superb, with plenty of seating to relax, in the surrounds of the semi private terrace. The heated jacuzzi is a great addition (comments in the negative section to follow). The main entrance is shared with patrons staying in the larger accommodation just below the windmill, and this is why it is a semi private terrace because people can view you quite clearly when transiting from their accommodation to the exit/entrance gate. The surrounding area is rustic, with some beautiful views of the church, an incredible sunrise, and literally 5 minutes walk from one of my favourite places to eat on the island Metaximas. Would I stay here again, yes, but for a very limited period time, and you need a car for this location. Disliked · A few things to mention that may or may not affect travellers in the future to this beautiful venue. The walk to the venue is in my opinion not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone that struggles with walking / breathing issues. As we arrived in darkness, the pathway was difficult to navigate and so mobile phones / torches were out, and this is where we encountered the first small issue. Overhanging branches from other properties close to the main road did have sap on the leaves and this stuck to our clothing, and this was impossible to notice in the dark. While the use of space is excellent, there is extremely limited space for baggage and suitcases. We had 2 suitcases and 2 small cabin bags. I feel the sofa area upstairs could be removed and the space utilised for baggage storage, because we used this sofa to put our bags on, so the sofa couldn't have been used by us personally to sit on. We did ask if the Jacuzzi had been cleaned, and we were assured it had been, but the photos posted in this review would seriously question this. This part may not affect future travellers - Opposite the windmill, a

This is an old windmill that was just converted. Wish there were more details about it on their website. It's a cool vibe and all the fit and finishes inside and out are top notch. Loved the private hot tub. It's worth a night or two just to have the experience and the service was great. The cleaning lady works very hard (cleaned the inside and out for 1.5 hours) and Elisabeta is available on Whatsapp and replies immediately. It's a good 4 minute walk up old cobblestone that is only half lit at night. Pack very lightly and be purposeful on your trips out. You'll need a car as there is nothing within walking distance except 1 restaurant, and that is very close by. It's a hot spot for locals because the food is so good. There is a neighborhood dog that likes to bark right around bedtime. Otherwise, he's quiet. Have a sleep app ready on your phone.
