Matraville Home Stay Lake Toba
"Just a stone's throw from the center of Tuktuk, but not in a noisy area. The bathrooms and rooms are spacious, meeting European standards. The owner was incredibly kind; he drove me to the port and arranged a scooter rental and laundry service, in addition to recommending restaurants and places to visit. Highly recommended!"
Labersa Hotel & Convention Center Samosir
"Everything was good except the location is too far from center. Plus there is no mini market or places to eat nearby."
RedDoorz Plus @ Vantas Hotel Parbaba
"very nice view ,the room without air-conditioning because temperature at night would be low around 20 degrees, but the room not providing toilet tissues."

"Actually the place quite spacious and the room view facing lake toba which is very beautiful. But when we came here, no water almost 2 hours I wait .They said have some issue and we decided to checkout."
Sibayak Guest house
"The vibe is quiet and laid-back ideal for anyone wanting to unwind, enjoy nature, and take in the views of Lake Toba. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the rooms are simple but comfortable. Whether you're staying a night or a month, Sibayak makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. Highly recommended for a tranquil getaway!"
Samosir Cottages Resort
"We spent 3 nights at Samosir Cottages, and it was a wonderful base for exploring Samosir Island. One of the best parts is how effortlessly accessible it is-taking the ferry directly from Pelabuhan Tiga Raja in Parapat right to the cottage's private jetty made arrival and departure completely stress-free. The lakefront location offers stunning view of Lake Toba, and waking up to the peaceful water every morning was a highlight. The rooms were comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout our stay. Perfect for anyone looking for a seamless, relaxing getaway on the island!"

Mas Cottages
"We’ve spent two nights in this friendly guesthouse/hotel. The ferry takes you there after delivering the other guests on Tuktuk (we decided to take a 2km walk). The location is great, hosts are very friendly and the food is excellent. We have rented bikes a bit further down the road and made a nice tour. We loved our stay. For the way back, the team called the ferry. Unfortunately we were the first pickup and it took us 50 minutes before the ferry made the crossing. In short: a recommendation when you wnt to stay on Samosir, Lake Toba."
Toba Beach Hotel
"Big and beautiful rooms and friendly staff. It was a rainy and cold day . Seems I was the only guest at the hotel. Nice umbrellas, slippers, and a free ride to my boat to Parapat.I didn't eat much of the breakfast in asia due to MSG. Beautiful Samosir"
Judita Cottage
"It was not clearly stated that Standard room does not have wifi and air-conditioning. Reception treatment was not welcoming as well."
Zoé’s Paradise Waterfront Hotel
"We had the most amazing time, the hotel and room were lovely. We spent a fair amount of time in the bar / restaurant and pool areas. Location was good with fabulous views. They even let us borrow the hotel canoe for the morning! Special mentions to Monica who helped us on a number of occasions, and Angel who made the best G&T's!! However all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks! Wish we could have stayed longer"
Penginapan Mafir
"I really didn't want to write a review for this so-called B&B, which is worse than a roadside inn. On our first night, 11 of us checked into 6 rooms, and everyone felt absolutely terrible – it was an unforgettable nightmare! There were no blankets, the sinks and bathroom facilities were incomplete (water sprayed everywhere), and there was no drinking water or hot water. Even the windows were broken, and mosquitoes were flying all over the room! All the descriptions and photos on Trip.com are fake; this is clearly an unscrupulous business! So, the next morning, we all quickly escaped (two women even got sick from using cold water) and checked into a proper hotel (for a similar price). All 11 of us unanimously agree that for such a terrible experience while traveling abroad, Trip.com bears a significant responsibility for its lax oversight."
Lekjon Cottage
"I found some plastic on my coffee. They have some terrible waitress!!! They are also rude to domestic costumer and cat call the foreigner costumer. Please don’t buy anything from this Restaurant! The food taste really plain. I hate this restaurant from the waitress to the food!"
Toba Retreat Mansion and Villas
"We booked this hotel thinking it looked decent, but it was a disaster. The price is high for the terrible quality and service they provide. While the sheets and towels were thankfully clean, the rest of the hotel was disgusting. If you look closely at the corners, it’s filthy and covered in thick dust. The pool was also dirty, not clear or blue at all. The breakfast was a joke, clearly only meant for locals. For Western tourists, the only edible thing was sliced white bread. The breakfast area is so small they forced us into a random meeting room because there was no space. The tables there were filthy. To make matters worse, at the coffee corner, the sugar jar was literally full of ants. They removed it for one day, but the next morning the exact same dirty jar was back (just without the ants). They didn't even bother to clean it. Disgusting. The manager is so unprofessional. He kept nosily asking us how much money we spent on everything we did. When we arrived, we asked for a port pickup; he said they didn't offer the service but sent a tuk-tuk anyway, charging us an outrageous price. The same thing happened when we went to Tuk Tuk, it cost a fortune. When we confronted the driver, he apologized and admitted the hotel manager set the price. He is clearly ripping off tourists and taking a cut. The "cherry on top" was the second night. Around midnight, a huge group arrived and started partying, blasting music, and screaming. The manager had told us he was available 24/7, but when I messaged him, he ignored me. We went to reception, and it was completely empty. In the end, we had to go knock on the door of the party room ourselves. The next morning, instead of apologizing, the manager just joked and laughed about it with other people right in front of us. Absolutely unprofessional. Avoid this place."
Gondang Sivali Hotel
"The service to hotel guests is very friendly, the food served is very good, the location is very strategic, the view is very beautiful and the hotel environment and room cleanliness are very good. Highly recommended for the next trip"
Horas Family Home
"We were received with a warm welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable. Near Horas Family Home there are many small shops and restaurants. Horas had arranged a very comfortable pickup from Medan Airport and also for the days we stayed the tour facilities were perfect. In short, a very enjoyable stay at Horas Family Home during our trip through Thailand and Indonesia."
