Awesome location for ease of travelling in/out of St Malo. Plenty of parking. Some shops, Aldi and a nice McDonalds next door. Quiet area despite motorway. Basic room but super cheap. Room a bit too hot. Would recommend.

The hotel is located around 6 km from St Malo old town, so can be used a day trip base. Each room can take up to 3 persons. It’s clean enough and at the low end of the hotel range. It’s good value, as St Malo in summer is rather expensive.

We stayed with friends and all our children and felt it was a lot further away from the St Malo than expected. You can not drop your bags off any earlier, so you can free yourself up and explore St Malo. Yes, I did google it but in reality it was quite far without transport. So bus it was, which actually was fine. No 1 bus takes you to within an easy walk. So that was good however, the buses stop early, and don't run early on a Sunday. So did have to spend quite a lot of time organising that when we arrived. Tourist information in St Malo was fantastic, they gave us all the information we needed. Traveling with friends and 4 children was a little stressful getting there. By chance we caught the last bus on the Saturday night back to the hotel, which was before 930, which again was fine once we had done it a few times. The stay in the hotel was very basic in the room, Room 2 has the smoking bin attached to the wall right outside, so those that smoked congregated outside chatting, and the smoke smell wafted into the room, not pleasant when you are not a smoker. The shower facilities are tired and small, Room 10 leaked so had to pack the door with towels as it poured out under the door into the room. Never occupied a hotel of this style before, and yes we didn't expect much for the money, however its not for us, having the entry door outside, I didn't feel safe, you can hear everything and yes we know it was very cheap. 2 of the reception staff didn't speak much English which again is expected so had to get google translate out, and when asked for help with Taxis said they couldn't do it and point blankly refused to order us a taxi for our early start on the Sunday morning. So we ended up back at the Tourist information for help with that one. Which they did without question. The gent on the Sunday morning was very good, spoke very good English and was happy to help us if the taxis didn't turn up. So all in all, an experience, very basic, which is what we expected, but rooms are tired, dated. Wouldn't visit one of these style hotels again.

The accommodation is not bad but the bathroom is terrible, the shower hose goes over your shoulders, the sink is small and the tap is high, if you are not careful you will hit your face.

Unfortunately, I breathed through the ventilation grille located 15 cm from the bed, one night the smell of a joint smoked by someone else in the hotel!! The smell was very pronounced, around 2:00 in the morning and until 3:30, around 3:30 smell of cold joint in my room, so we breathe the air from the other rooms through the ventilation grille. I explained before my departure to the manager of the Première Classe hotel, who apologized for the inconvenience. I will not return to this hotel.
