It's definitely not a 3-star hotel. The room is just okay, but it's too small. The hotel doesn't provide complimentary bottles of water. This is the first hotel in Thailand that I've stayed in that doesn't provide water. I've stayed at other hotels in Thailand that have a green policy, but provide glass bottles in the room and have water stations on each floor to fill your bottles from. They don't even have any toiletries such as cotton buds, which even budget chains usually provide. The fridge in the room is too small and can hardly fit 4 cans of beer and bigger bottles of water. Also, I prefer a shower that you can move around take as opposed to a rain shower. The air con was very poor in my first room and wasn't cooling the room. I didn't have a great first night sleep due to the room being too hot. I spoke to reception to advise them, and they let me change to a different room, and the air con was a lot better. The hotel is in a good location and near the BTS, but it let's itself down badly by not providing any water for guests.

Affordable and clean hotel. Our first room has small insects and cockroach. we told them, they apologized and change our room. The second one also had bad smell. They changed our room again and gave us a room with good view. as a sorry, they also provide us free drinking water and change our checkout time to 14:00 . Staff were friendly and nice. Air condition worked well . 7eleven is under hotel and you can see this tower (can see in photo) in front of 7eleven.

The front desk staffs are really warm and helpful… upon check in one bulb need to be change… next night aircon leak… after fixing… aircon leaks again…

Not bad, located next to the market, you can go out to buy snacks or order takeout!

I always come back to this hotel when the price hit around 1100 to 1200 baht. Although, it's a distant walk to train stations, it's clean and convenient in many ways.

18 min walk to MRT Si Lom or 5minutes by Grabcar or Grab Bike. Has a 711 outside and has a nearby eatery.

The location is good. However, it is lightly far from BTS Saladaeng and MRT Samyan/Silom but can walk. The price is cheaper than all the same categories of hotels in the same area.

A great spot to unwind after a day of exploring, it offers stunning views of the city skyline. I enjoyed sitting there with a drink from the bar, soaking in the vibrant energy of Bangkok. The breakfast buffet was another highlight. Served daily in the hotel’s restaurant, it featured a variety of both Western and Asian options, including fresh fruits, pastries, bread, and even street food-inspired dishes like pad Thai and tom yum soup. It was filling and delicious, setting a great start to each day. I also appreciated the convenience of having an on-site便利店 (convenience store) and a 24-hour security desk, which adds a sense of safety and ease for solo travelers like myself. While no stay is perfect, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The corridor leading to my room could have been cleaner, and there was some noise from the street outside during peak hours. However, these are relatively small issues that didn’t detract significantly from my overall experience. In conclusion, Red Planet Bangkok Surawong offers great value for its price point, with a central location, comfortable rooms, and excellent service. It’s a fantastic option for travelers looking to explore Bangkok without breaking the bank. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thailand’s vibrant capital city!

Great Location and Value for Money Red Planet Bangkok Surawong is conveniently located, not far from the BTS train station, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are clean and perfect for budget-conscious travelers. The water pressure in the shower is strong, and the bedding is comfortable with a cozy duvet. Overall, I found my stay very satisfying. Free parking is also provided, which is a great bonus. Highly recommended for those looking for affordable and convenient accommodation in Bangkok!
