Room smelled of vomit and the curtains were torn informed staff they did seemed attentive but we were not offered a room change Hotel is contracted to workmen working on the motorway also lots of couples with dogs in the room In my opinion the cleanliness has declined in this hotel

Great Hotel, friendly staff and great location if you into bridges & 2 pints lager sitcom.

Like all holiday inns they are comfortable have so good food and a nice bar area that shows live sport just what you need

Don't put your room keycard near your phone as it deactivated the access to my room almost every nt. Other guests had the same issue and it's a long walk back to reception especially with disabilities and tired from sightseeing and you get to your room and you can't get in Restaurant good Staff helpful It's got a pool and gym which I didn't get to use

The first arranged room in 311, the toilet seat cover is broken. And the next room was a dog kept barking. The reception staff rearranged another room for us shortly, their attitude is really good. But the room rearranged to 223 is in the basement, the air circulation is really not good, you can smell the strong pet smell in the hallway. And I can see the 3rd floor lift lobby had dog poo. To be honest, they were doing a dog exhibition, but they are not really well organized to avoid all the inconveniences caused. That’s not really fair to the customers who don’t expect those scenarios.

No shower gel to use in shower Breakfast was cold due to hot plate not switched on, had to use microwave to heat it up. Kitchen staff forgot to switch the hot plate on.

Rooms a little tired and dated but staff give the best customer service.

Check in was quick and easy although there was no information given about the hotel eg pool opening times other than dinner may be busy due to several coach parties being booked in. The room was clean and tidy and there was a nice handwritten note welcoming us alongside 1 single serve pack of digestive biscuits even though the booking was for 2 people. The bathroom had 2 large dispensers for shampoo and shower gel but the shampoo bottle was empty and this was only discovered once in the room. There was air conditioning which was appreciated due to the rare appearance of the British sun that day but unfortunately the unit itself was very noisy whilst running so needed to be turned off overnight. Beds were comfy and there was the option to order additional pillows from reception that wasn't needed. Check out was quick and easy and the staff did try to help us answer a question about a local bus route to aid us on our onward journey but unfortunately they did not have this local knowledge.

Good location to Chester and Manchester if you drive. Perfect for a stop if you plan to drive from north to south or south to north and make a stop in here to take a break.
