Our stay at the Black Swan Hotel was truly amazing. Originally, we were booked at the Hana Lodge, but due to renovations, we were moved to their sister property in the heart of Rotorua. Despite the change, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service.
The room amenities were incredible. We had a free mini bar that was replenished daily, a large, comfortable bed, and breathtaking views of the lakes. The room was exceptionally clean, and all the staff members were incredibly helpful and courteous.
The breakfast served from 7 am was delicious! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Rotorua.

華人經營的lodge，剛剛開業幾個月，很新，地點略偏，無車慎選。十幾個房間，但是該有的都有，泳池，網球場，桌球桌，划船機，自行車等等…風景很美，可以看到羅特魯亞湖。ps周圍野兔成災，一不小心就會踩到兔子洞的趕腳…早餐很不錯

It is difficult to find a quiet and romantic place in Rotorua and this one was our best option. The location is good, albeit along a busy road, but with some distance to it. The room has all the amenities and is well equipped, although the decoration is not our style. Breakfast was good but evening dinner is enormously overpriced. This was our first evening in New Zealand and we did not realize it, but we had better dinners at half the price!

We were tempted to High Tea for a birthday celebration. The reality didn't remotely resemble the advertisement picture and only lossley the written description. The offering wasn't dainty or all fresh, certainly not all baked on the premises, but perhaps at the local supermarket. Since I opted for a juice as a first drink, which was half a glass of pineapple, I had to pay for my second, a pot of tea, although that was explained before I ordered. No jam, no butter and the tiniest 35 ml knobs of scone I have ever seen. A favourite pass time, regretfully, I won't be returning for High Tea at Hana Lodge anytime soon.

Incredible stay. Around 20 minutes from the city centre, this place is a hidden gem. It’s more like a museum than a hotel. The staff was courteous and generous enough to upgrade our stay —we were visiting from Canada. Amazing attention to detail, from the USB charger to the mini bar to the à la carte breakfast. The rooms are modern and spotless, and it comes with a freestanding bathtub. The outdoor space is quite magical. There’s birds, both caged and free, and also llamas and cows in front!

Beautiful lodge with alpacas cows and birds. Peaceful stay with a beautiful view and hot tub and pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. Want to come back and stay here for a longer time
