"Visiting the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing, the most delightful surprise was staying at the Atour Hotel (Zhongshanling). The entire complex exudes an antique charm, with its grey brick arched corridors intertwined with ancient trees, blending the elegant Republic of China aesthetic with the lush greenery of the mountains. It's a tranquil retreat amidst the bustling city, incredibly soothing. The 'Chocolate Service' throughout my stay was excellent; the front desk and room service were attentive and thoughtful, proactive yet unobtrusive. My room was clean and smart, and the view of Zhongshan Mountain from the window was breathtaking. With direct access to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and the Sycamore Avenue, it's perfect for both sightseeing and relaxation. I wholeheartedly give it five stars – truly the top choice for a Nanjing getaway!"

"Five-Day Stay in Nanjing Check-in Experience We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee. Accommodation We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit: Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property. RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated."

Hotel near Confucius Temple/Qinhuai River Scenic Area,Nanjing
Nanjing Yinnan Mendong Hotel is located at No.76 Santiaoying, Laomendong, on the banks of the Qinhuai River, at the foot of the Ming City Wall, adjacent to the Jinling Art Museum. It is surrounded by nationally renowned scenic spots such as Confucius Temple, Laomendong Historical Block, and Zhan Garden. The hotel enjoys convenient transportation: it is only a few hundred meters from Wudingmen Metro Station, the nearest subway stop. Within 2 kilometers, there are large shopping malls including Maoye World and Rainbow Mall, perfect for a pleasant shopping experience during your stay. The hotel is well-equipped with an **outdoor swimming pool**, ideal for relaxing chats in the breeze. The 24-hour front desk provides luggage storage service. All rooms are furnished with a minibar, TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Drawing inspiration from the historic buildings of Laomendong, the hotel preserves the privacy of traditional courtyard residences, the old trees witnessing time, the simplicity of brick walls and wooden beams, and the spacious 6-meter-high ceilings. Every room opens directly onto a courtyard. The spacious and romantic design pays tribute to the recluse spirit of ancient times, while the flowing water and clear pools enhance the joy of peaceful "seclusion" in the city.

"Great location, in the middle of actions. right next walk to 老门东 and next to 夫子庙,15 min away from Nanjing South Raul station. The hotel is very uniquely traditional Chinese building, the amenities are very modern though. All in all a great hotel to stay at and very convenient and clean. Staff is super friendly. From the street there are no signs for the hotel so that caused a little confusion when dropped off by taxi and I didn't know where the hotel was. The staff was kind enough to come by and pick me up. The breakfast is a big negative. Very few selections and didn't taste good. Compaied to other hotels in Hina they are way below par. if the management is reading this, I'd suggest to improve on breakfast variety and taste. Still a great place to stay overall, I'd highly recommend it."

"The room layout was well-designed, the views were beautiful, and the service was attentive. The observation deck truly offers stunning scenery! My only minor complaints were that the hairdryer was quite weak, and the self-service dinner was just average. Our butler, Alice, was always available to help with any issues, which definitely deserves praise!"

Because the first day was very good, I extended it for another day. In short, it was a perfect experience! The overall cost-effectiveness is super high. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"First off, I want to commend the front desk staff for their excellent service, especially with the room upgrade. Secondly, the hotel environment is fantastic. While breakfast is outsourced, the quality is good. Lake Biwa is incredibly close; you can take a leisurely stroll around it every day. The towering trees are beautiful and very relaxing for both mind and body. Finally, for the cons: the facilities are a bit dated. The most distressing experience was when a travel companion got stuck in the bathroom after we upgraded to a family room. The door was jammed shut and couldn't be opened, even by two staff members. Eventually, an engineer had to come and pry it open with a screwdriver. It's frightening to think what would have happened if no one else was in the room; self-rescue would have been impossible without a phone, and there's no phone in the bathroom. Due to its location, shouting for help wouldn't have reached the hallway either. I strongly suggest the hotel install call buttons in the bathrooms. Aside from that incident, everything else was great, and I highly recommend the family room."

According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"During my business trip to Nanjing, I stopped by the Jiapuji Hot Spring Resort Hotel in Tangshan, and the overall experience was truly delightful – a definite thumbs up! First, the location: right next to the Garden Expo Park, the environment is impeccable. Although it's a bit far from the city center, that's precisely why it's so quiet. The hotel has a modern Chinese style, with white walls and black tiles, which looks very refreshing and makes for great photos. I must especially praise their hot spring! This was my biggest motivation for coming here. Although it's indoors, it's designed to be very private, not like a noisy public bathhouse. The water temperature was just right; soaking in it completely relaxed my muscles and bones, especially after a busy day at work – the fatigue instantly disappeared. The water quality was also very clean, which is very important. The food was also good. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, including Chinese noodles and Western bread, and the taste was worth the price. For lunch and dinner, we ordered local specialties, which were plentiful and authentically flavorful. The service was excellent; check-in was very efficient, and the staff greeted us warmly and responded quickly to any requests. Overall, it's great value for money. If you're planning a trip to the Garden Expo Park or simply want a relaxing place to soak in a hot spring, this place is perfect. I highly recommend giving it a try!"
