Bellevue on the Beach Suites

After a long time, we finally took another vacation by the sea. The hotel we chose – Bellevue on the Beach Suites in Rhodes Town – is located right on the seafront, yet centrally and quietly situated. Compared to other hotels, it’s rather small, and it far exceeded our high expectations. Our suite was spacious and immaculate, with two large balconies offering a wonderful sea view, a small kitchen, a living room, and two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The hotel also features a heated pool and a rooftop pool. Breakfast offered plenty of variety and was individually prepared in the kitchen to order – always beautifully presented. What we especially want to highlight is the friendly staff: pleasant, warm-hearted, and caring – always present, always with a smile and helpful advice. We received a warm welcome and great support when it came to preparing for our departure. The Old Town is just a leisurely walk away, either through the center or along the beach promenade. There are also good restaurants around the hotel – we particularly recommend Elia Olive Restaurant, known for its traditional and excellent cuisine. We would love to treat ourselves to another stay at the beautiful and exquistely-maintained Hotel Bellevue on the Beach. Very satisfied! Ephcharisto poli!

We stayed at the hotel with our two young boys, aged 2 and a half and 5 years old. This place was exactly what we were looking for: peace, no crowds, and very attentive, kind staff. We were particularly impressed by the breakfast, which was à la carte and served at the table—something we had never experienced before! The staff were patient and helpful with our children and always greeted us with a smile. Our room was cleaned between two to three times a day, which was wonderful. The hotel features a swimming pool where we enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere, as well as a second pool on the 6th floor that we could reserve for just our family. We also received thoughtful gifts, including a kit with sunscreen, flip-flops, a beach bag, sweets, unlimited bottles of mineral water, and welcome cocktails. Our suite was comfortable and spacious, complete with a large balcony and a washing machine (laundry service included). However, there are a few areas for improvement: 1. The showers in the bathrooms need renovation, particularly the one in the main bathroom, as water leaked under the shower door every time we used it. 2. Our suite was located on the “mezzanine” or first floor, which limited our sea view to one side. The room was positioned quite low, making it difficult to enjoy a beautiful sea view. We suggest that this floor be reserved for other uses (like a restaurant, gym, or sauna) rather than as guest accommodations. 3. The swimming pool on the 6th floor could benefit from modernization, and we recommend adding a small bar next to it, along with some tropical decorations, such as plants. In conclusion, these three recommendations are minor issues, as our overall impression of the stay was very positive. The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet all our needs and questions, making our experience truly enjoyable. We left feeling very happy and grateful. Regarding the location: it is conveniently located not too far from the airport (we rented a car). However, the area is prone to strong winds, which sometimes felt like a storm. It was quite windy, making it difficult for us to swim at the beach right in front of the hotel due to big waves and strong breezes, so we didn’t attempt it. We understand that there is nothing the hotel owner can do about this. Fortunately, the hotel is close to other beaches with huts and the port, and it’s a 20-25 minute walk from the old town.
