Location: The hotel is praised for its fantastic location, being within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, and taverns. This convenience was a recurring highlight in many reviews.

Beautiful accommodation located about 200 meters from the beach and the promenade. Via this promenade, with a series of shops and catering industry options, you reach the old town of Rethymnon after about 1,700 meters, situated in the shopping area of this city. The hotel consists of a main building and an annex. The annex is located across the street and can be reached via a tunnel under the street. You can use either the elevator or the stairs for this. Both buildings have their own swimming pool and bar. You dine in the main building in a spacious and beautifully decorated restaurant with a covered outdoor terrace. The service in the restaurant is correct and friendly. Both breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served buffet-style. The food is of good quality. There is sufficient variety and choice regarding lunch and dinner. We had booked a superior room. These rooms are located in the main building. We chose all-inclusive and made use of breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel throughout our stay. The room was spacious with enough storage space, nicely furnished with only one chair, but with a sofa bed that can also be used as a sitting bench. A bathroom with a rain shower or a bath with a shower above (we used two different rooms). A bathrobe and slippers are provided. The towels, without deposit for the sunbeds, can be requested at the reception the first time. There you will receive a card and with that, you can go to the Spa in the annex, where you can also change the towels daily. You can rent a locker for € 4.00 per day. The balcony has a table with two chairs and a bench, and there is also a drying rack present. Reading the above, why do we only rate our room just above adequate then? During the first six days, we stayed in a room where the toilet flush button was broken. The toilet kept flushing at full power. After a call to the reception, a technician shut off the water supply, and later he tried to fix the problem. Without success. The issue kept recurring. So, for all those days, we had to regularly use the public toilet five floors down. At the end of day six, we were informed that the next day we would move to another room for the remainder of our 11-day stay. So, we had to pack our bags. With our bags packed, we had to wait until the end of the morning on day seven before we could check into the new room. So, you lose half a day of your vacation. We were promised a smooth move, but it turned out differently. Based on this, our room would have received a poor rating. However, we reported our grievances at the reception. A hotel manager spoke with us and took a good interest in our complaint. They really listened. Apologies were offered for the entire situation. They had not realized how much inconvenience we had experienced. The next day, we received a nice gesture in our room. Just saying sorry without any excuses is what we appreciated the most, which is why we still gave the room a narrow passing grade. So much for the room? W

Just got back from staying at Theartemis Palace Hotel where we were staying Half Board with Direct Holidays, we were in Room 222 which was in the Main Building overlooking the road. The room was perfectly adequate for our stay, ( we took a travel kettle as this was the only thing not supplied ) there were double balcony doors which when closed ,cut out traffic noise completely , this was the quietest room we have ever had on holiday, no noise from any other rooms. The meals were superb and the waitresses could not have been more helpful as illustrated when my wife being a vegetarian happened to mention that the soup that evening was chicken, the waitress overheard and offered to prepare a suitable alternative - not needed as the choice of meals was superb. All the Staff were very friendly and polite, nothing too much trouble for them. As we arrived at 6am we missed the previous evening meal , we were given a voucher that enabled us to have a Lunch before we left in the afternoon. The hotel is ideally situated for the Beach and Old town. There is a Spar supermarket nearby and the Little Red and Yellow Road Trains for Excusions are located the next road to the Hotel. All in all an excellent Hotel in a very convenient location.
