Olympic Palladium ★★★
"Perfect location, away from the crowded old city center"
Atrium Ambiance Hotel ★★★★
"We booked this hotel after reading all the positive reviews. And Although we can agree the hotel is well presented and is kept clean and tidy and in close proximity to the beach and around a 15 minute walk to old town that is about the most we will say is positive. We did not use the pool, pool bar or watch any entertainment that was on offer as this did not interest us. The pool is in shade for the majority of the day due to its location but that we agree is not at fault of the hotel. The rooms are nice, we paid for a superior pool view but we was given a road side view, this was rectified straightaway without any fuss, however the balcony we had was no wider that arms length so not an ideal place to sit and relax. No changing of towels daily, or bed linen. Now the main concern and honestly is what ruined our whole holiday and that was the food! Nothing we had either breakfast or evening meal was hot! Not one thing we ate, it was cold each time we ate there and over two weeks we only ate breakfast which again was pre made fried eggs, bacon, the usual. This forced us to eat outmost of the time even though we paid half board. The health risks associated to serving cold food which is meant to be hot really need to be addressed example Eggs should be made to order. It’s not a big hotel so this should be and easy fix. This hotel in our opinion caters more for its European guests rather than that of the British guests, I’m not sure if this hotel is new to Tui Uk guests but I would not book here again due to the issues raised."
Anita Beach Hotel- Adults Only ★★★
"Lovely hotel stay 5 nights it was much better than I expected would happily go again. Beach at the end of the road lovely places to eat drink within minutes of hotel. Breakfast was great if you are a full English type of person it may not suit but I thought it was perfect. The resort was so clean felt safe at all times its about 20 mins walk to Old town I did go and have a look but to be honest I had everything I needed on my doorstep. Wonderful hotel and resort just book you won't regret it."
Petradi Beach Lounge Hotel ★★★★
"We have just left from a week at Petradi Beach Hotel. We were disappointed to say the least, when booking the hotel we had the option of a balcony or terrace, there was no choice to select a sea view room. Upon arrival, we were given a room facing the main road which is extremely busy 24 hours of the day, the balcony (if you could call it that) was tiny and we couldn’t sit out on it for the whole of our stay. The breakfast was awful. One day we came down for breakfast 30 minutes early and all of the “hot” food was already out. It was very disappointing and we had to eat out for breakfast each day even though it was included in our stay. The pool and beach area is very nice, it is very chilled but there is nowhere near enough Sunbed’s for all of the guests in the hotel. The location of the hotel wasn’t great, it’s a 20 minute walk along a very busy main road to get into the old town, there is no beach front to walk on. You can get a taxi for €6 or the bus for €1 which was handy. I would definitely recommend doing this to save the walk along the narrow footpath which is also combined with a cycle path. Despite the room, balcony, noise and breakfast letting the hotel down. The old town and the restaurants along the front are lovely and definitely worth visiting."
Sea Front Old Town ★★★
"Excellent room, high level of cleanliness, staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Very comfortable bed. Good shower. Perfect location in the heart of Old Town. Would certainly recommend. The one way system can be a tad difficult but the staff were so friendly and helpful with directions and parking, I would not count this as a negative."
Ammos Suites ★★★★
"The location couldn’t be better, right across from the sea, offering that calming coastal feeling from the moment you arrive. The hotel itself has a refined, elegant style that makes you feel instantly relaxed. Our room was very comfortable, especially the excellent mattress. Service was very friendly, and Filio (hotel manager) was always available and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for a tasteful and welcoming seaside getaway!"
Mansio Boutique Hotel ★★★
"Mansio Boutique Hotel in Rethymno is a perfect blend of luxury and charm, offering exceptional service, beautiful rooms, and a prime location in the heart of Rethymno’s old town—truly an unforgettable stay! Will definitely come back - sooner than expected!"
Gateway Suites ★★★
Ink Hotels Phos ★★
"Super friendly at reception. Super clean and as good as new. Good washing and shower facilities. Air conditioning works very well. There could be a set of cutlery and a plate and a large bottle of water instead of two mini bottles. Overall, highly recommended."

Leo Hotel
"We booked this last minute due to us travelling around the island on a motor bike. Helen’s was a wonderful host. She re arranged things to give us the room we requested. We would 100% recommend staying here."
Ibiscos Garden Hotel
"Just lovely - place, all staff, food, atmosphere, location, everything was neat and tidy…we had a wonderful time."
Trefon Hotel Apartments and Family Suites
"I had a truly perfect holiday here. And I mean everything. The staff were truly delightful folk, always happy to help, with a generous and genuine sense of real hospitality. The hotel was pristine, the room was terrific, the showes worked properly, good wifi reception too. As for out and about, the beach was about 150 metres to the left as you left the hotel, and 150 metres to the right there were loads of restarants, bars, and souvenir shops. Of all the places I've been fortunate to visit, this is the first time I've booked a return-for October 2025. I can thoroughly reccommend it to anyone, sinles, couples and families too wont be disappointed."
Kyma Suites Beach Hotel
"Spent 10 nights here. Location is great as right on the seafront prom. Shops and restaurants all around. 10 mins walk to the long golden beach and free sun beds. Close to marina and old town. Housekeeping daily. Breakfast nice especially the delicious orange juice. Room was clean, a good size with lots of storage and a large bathroom. There was a very large step into the shower - stepping over the side of a jacuzzi bath. Not ideal for all and future guests should be made aware as this could be dangerous. We paid extra for a sea view room but were disappointed. Our room was very noisy on the first floor over the main road and taxi rank. We saw trees, traffic, tops of boats and masts - just a bit of the sea. Sure this would improve from a higher floor. Staff we met were professional and polite but a more friendlier, personal approach would have been nice especially as we were there 10 days."
Grecotel Creta Palace
"Overall it's good, worth the price"
Kriti Beach Hotel
"This is our fourth stay at the Kiriti Beach Hotel, which we definitely consider our "Happy Place." The hotel's location is perfect, with a beautiful beach right across the street and the old town just a short walk away. The rooms are very well-equipped and immaculately clean. We opt for the half-board option and are consistently impressed by the excellent quality and wide variety of food. Above all, it's the wonderful staff that makes this hotel truly special. Their professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness are exceptional. I am pleased to say that they have become friends, and we eagerly look forward to seeing them each time. We are not alone in our appreciation, as many guests return year after year, with some having come for over 12 years. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay so wonderful. We look forward to seeing all of you again next year!"
Atermono Boutique Resort & Spa
"This hotel is simply beautiful. If you’re staying in Crete, thoroughly recommend it. All the staff, management, cleaners, waiting personnel so friendly and helpful. Everyone is more than happy to go above and beyond. This was evident when my husband and I asked to change rooms to one that was all on one level, Valia the Guest Relations Manager resolved it for us post haste. Everything is so clean, all the staff do an amazing job. The breakfast and food from the bar is delicious and well presented. Sitting by the pool is stunning as you’re facing the sea - definitely a place to sit, relax and watch the world go by. The beds are extremely comfortable so no problem with a good night’s sleep. The outdoor theatre great fun and all facilities top of the range. Amazing restaurant literally 50 yards round the corner too but be warned, book as it gets incredibly busy and the portions are huge!!"
Elina Hotel Apartments
"Dear traveler....this hotel hosted us for a few nights in the city of Rethymno after a suggestion from friends and even locals. I think it is an honest accommodation proposal depending on the surrounding hotels and its price is reasonable in relation to the prices available. What impressed me is that quite a few locals were staying... It is what the 3 stars indicate.... that is. Advantages: Central, you can do everything on foot... beach... old town... food... etc. The room is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen... separate room... living room etc. Cleanliness is good... and quiet Staff is super polite and helpful, available to answer questions and give directions. Breakfast is typical... not super rich but satisfactory. Of course AC TV fridge... complete bathroom... everything is good... it also has a balcony. Small pool... but it serves a need... but the space is limited as are the sunbeds... 24-hour reception... Negatives: It does not serve room service.. It also does not have a snack bar... for drinks... coffee... food etc. after breakfast. However, it has tables where you can sit and order whatever you want from right across the street. It has a mini market right next door... even for coffee... pizzeria... 20 meters away.. Food next door for sandwiches... and everything is around. Now time shows its wear and tear but it stands decently for its price and category. It does not have parking... but there is a public one very close by... you can find a free or paid space. I think it is a good case... now if you are looking for luxury... you can go elsewhere... but with double... triple prices per star and so on. I think it is open all year round... and this may serve some. Anyway, I didn't regret my choice...and I have stayed in other hotels in the city before. Recommended.."
Steris Elegant Beach Hotel & Apartments
"Hotel location is OK, very close to the beach, 20 minutes walk from the old town. But the hotel facilities are too old and too general. The advantage is that you can cook by yourself. After playing in Greece for so many days, I really want to make a hot noodles by myself, so I went to the nearby supermarket to buy ingredients and make it myself."
Macaris Suites & Spa
"The environment was nice. I stayed in a loft suite with a view of the sea from the balcony. It's next to Resimonon, on a hillside, and parking is easy. Crete is actually quite large, so tourists don't significantly impact the lives of the locals. You can drive to various beaches. For just a few euros per person, you can get a parasol and a lounge chair. Some are even free. On my last day, I randomly picked one and just relaxed on the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and the view – very comfortable. The Blue Lagoon is beautiful, but it really tests your driving skills, car condition, and physical fitness! The meat on Crete is the best, and they have a unique traditional grilling method – grilling it above the oven, surrounding it – so fragrant!"
Solianna Rethymno Suites
Rimondi Boutique Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
"Not room N 1 would say that your accommodation and in the restaurant of the swimming pool nothing that works the safe coffee machine television. Fortunately we only stayed one night we forgot our things and we were not contacted it is us who claimed for transfer from another, our hotel. We paid the post office I find normal, but it was not necessary if they did their work for us as soon as we left in any case, too bad for this hotel and your service, a little chaotic, ??"
Faros Rooms & Suites
"Perfect location had a room overlooking the old town and harbour. Helpful and friendly staff Very clean rooms comfortable beds good air con, towels and beds changed regularly, disposable slippers(nice touch) and toiletries replaced every day."
Minos Hotel
"We have just arrived back from a week at the Hotel Minos in Rethymno. The greeting we received from the lady in the reception was absolutely fantastic, unfortunately did not know her name but she was working late evening and had long fairly light hair, she was so polite, arranging for our suitcases to be taken up to the room, organising a drink for us as well, she could not be more helpful. As we arrived late in the evening, we had missed the dinner service, because of this the hotel arranged baguettes to be left in our fridges. The hotel itself was clean, we quite often spotted cleaners around the hotel. 95% of the time, the staff were always friendly and approachable. Whilst we were there the hotel hosted a barbecue at the poolside and this was the most elegant barbecue we had ever seen.. tables and chairs were covered with white cloths, the selection of food was just incredible, the amount of work that went into it was evident and everybody involved worked so hard on it. it was one of the true highlights of the holiday, so beautiful and a must do. We must make special reference to Timothy on the entertainment staff, such a lovely warm welcoming person who went above and beyond on multiple occasions, nothing was ever too much trouble, you have got an absolute star on your staff with him, he is a real credit to the hotel, we just hope we didn’t bore him with all the Elvis talk 🤣 and we are going to miss him! Timothy’s colleague Elisa was also absolutely amazing, you can tell they both love their jobs, their dedication is incredible. Chrysoula at the pool bar was another staff member whose happiness was so contagious, always smiling, always happy and she made some amazing cocktails! A lovely lady! Lastly a mention to who we believe to be the manager of the hotel Manousos, he would quite often check how we were doing, he would always say hello and again nothing was too much trouble. Just a few constructive points, not complaints but little tweaks that we think could improve things so the hotel is even better.. We would have liked the Hotel Information which is currently on a board next to the restaurant to have been on a sheet in the room or given to us when we checked in as we didn’t find this until towards the end of the holiday and we had no idea about the lights on the room numbers which indicate whether you need a cleaner or do not want to be disturbed so consequently one room in our group missed a couple of maid visits. The hot breakfast items were quite often nearly cold and could do with being a bit warmer. A heavier shower mat (for when you get out of the shower) could also be a benefit as we were finding because it was so light, it did slip on the floor quite easily. Also the pool area could understandably get very slippy although not sure how or if this could be changed. It was lovely to have a TUI rep on site as well! Overall though, we were very impressed with the hotel and would have no problem staying here again. Tha"
Theartemis Palace
"It was delicious, excellent service, but we lived in the building, where we would like to update furniture already"
