Ink Hotels Phos ★★
"very nice structure in the heart of rhethymno, excellent location, good parking nearby."
Rimondi Boutique Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World ★★★★
"Great location, nice rooms (we were treated to a free upgrade). Nice breakfast with fresh orange juice served in the courtyard. No parking in immediate vicinity, but you can usually find a free spot close to the sea. Quality of tea served on the premises could be improved, same for toiletries."
Olympic Palladium ★★★
"I returned to this exceptional hotel and was not disappointed. The wonderful friendly and efficient service is a joy. Rooms are very clean and beds very comfortable. Importantly breakfasts are always delightfully delicious with sufficient variety to please all tastes. I agree some refurbishment would be beneficial but this does not detract from the excellent value the hotel offers its guests. My thanks for a wonderful stay. Elizabeth Beetham"
Petalo Suites ★★★★
"Right in the heart of town and has everything you need including washing machine and very modern fitout including USB ports. The host is super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The only issue is the steep stairs if you have bad legs as there is no elevator."
Faros Rooms & Suites ★★★
"Perfect location had a room overlooking the old town and harbour. Helpful and friendly staff Very clean rooms comfortable beds good air con, towels and beds changed regularly, disposable slippers(nice touch) and toiletries replaced every day."
Thalassa Boutique Hotel ★★★★
Sea Front Old Town ★★★
"The hotel is located in the old town, 40 meters from the sea, in an old, historical building. I got a room without windows. Cleanliness is good, furniture is comfortable, good bathroom. The hosts are hospitable. Bad WiFi. The beach is a 15-20 minute walk away"
Amalen Suites Adults Only ★★★
"Beautiful place with great service! Gave us Serenity and ispiration. Cool experience and great welcome-cake :)! We will be back."
Hamam Oriental Suites ★★★★
"We had an incredible stay here and were sad when we had to leave. This place is really one of a kind and is very unique. There's 6 rooms and each of them not only look different but also offer different amenities. The rooms are exactly as pictured. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. I really like how they provide beach towels and a beach blanket. As our room had a mini kitchen we had a few pots and pans as well as basic cutlery and plates. There was also some salt in the kitchen. I asked for cooking oil and pepper which Michalis was able to provide. There is no washer in the room however, a wash basin was provided upon request. They also provided some laundry detergent in the room. It's located in the old town which was very convenient especially as we didn't have a car. It's a close walk to everything including the main bus terminal (about 8 mins) which we utilized a lot as we did a lot of day trips. There are an endless supply of restaurants, cafes, and shops in the area. It is also in a quiet area so we did not get any street noise. As this is a small family run business, there is no one at the front desk overnight (this was not an issue for us). Michalis and his father are amazing people. I can't say enough great things about them. If I ever needed anything Michalis would immediately provide it. There was also one day when Michalis' mom Frosso was working the front desk as the other two were unavailable and she was just as lovely. She even saw me walking down the stairs with my luggage and instantly ran up to help me carry it down. There was also a student worker who did a wonderful job. We received a really sweet and thoughtful gift from them upon check out. One thing I will point out is that if you are booking the Dahlia room there is only one bed and not two as previously advertised. They had done some renovations recently and removed the sofa bed. Michalis said that he will update this info in their listing. There is also no elevator so you have to carry your stuff up the stairs. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Crete and will recommend this place to everyone I know."

Minos Hotel
"A great place to stay perfectly located near the beach, the port and the adorable Old town of Rethymnon. One of the best things for our kid at the hotel was the Kids Club - had such a great time there. Big, big thanks to Louane and Elisa who did a wonderful job!"
Trefon Hotel Apartments and Family Suites
"We stayed at the Trefon for a week in June and had the studio apartment. It was spacious for a studio and very clean and comfortable. The room is a little dated but we didn’t mind that considering the service/staff. The hotel itself is lovely with a small pool to cool off. There is a luggage room in the hotel with a shower so if you have a late flight you can leave you luggage, spend the day at the pool/beach and then freshen up before your flight. A great location to explore the local area with a number of restaurants and shops within an 5 minute walk. Rethymno is only 10/15 min by taxi or a 25 min bus ride and a 2 minute walk to the local beach. The staff here are lovely, friendly and always ready to help. The night manger Robert was friendly and helpful. As were the other mangers but we didn’t get to enter act with them as much. The barman, Padalecki (apologies for the spelling) is a real benefit to the hotel. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Having his cocktails, ice cold beers and spending the evening talking is the best way to end the day. This is a definite recommendation and I hope to return in the very near future."
Steris Elegant Beach Hotel & Apartments
"Hotel location is OK, very close to the beach, 20 minutes walk from the old town. But the hotel facilities are too old and too general. The advantage is that you can cook by yourself. After playing in Greece for so many days, I really want to make a hot noodles by myself, so I went to the nearby supermarket to buy ingredients and make it myself."
Mansio Boutique Hotel
"We have just returned from a one week stay at this excellent new hotel. Had a family suite and an executive suite and we were all delighted with the space and quality of finish. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. I particularly enjoyed a chat with Penelope when we returned each afternoon. We have booked to return again in August. Thank you!"
Aquila Porto Rethymno
"I would like to say a huge thank you to the massage therapist Kostas. Amazing massage when the therapist knows exactly what is best for you. Really and truly he has healing hands. He diagnoses your problems and finds the best solution for you. He also advises on some exercises to keep your body relieved. Highly recommended!"
Grecotel Creta Palace
"We've just come home from 8 amazing days here with our family and we're already talking about coming back. From the minute we arrived, we felt so welcome. Every single member of staff was genuinely friendly and always had a smile on their face. They all seemed to take real pride in making sure everyone had a great holiday, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The food was some of the best we've had at an all-inclusive hotel. There was so much choice every day, everything was fresh and delicious, we never got bored. The a la carte restaurants were amazing, definitely book in advance on the app to secure a spot (the reception are also very helpful and can arrange bookings for you). One of the things we loved most was how peaceful it was. Even around the pool and on the beach, it never felt overcrowded, there was always somewhere to relax. And if you fancy exploring, Rethymno is only about a 10–15 minute bus ride away (about 2 euros per adult) and it's such a lovely town to wander around. Lots of shops and restaurants and a real buzz about it. We did the little train tour and the pirate boat sunset trip - highly recommend! There was also loads to do in the hotel. We went on the crazy ring ride in the sea, did some art at the Atelier (at the beach), spent a day at the new aqua park (which had only opened a few days before we left - the kids thoroughly enjoyed this!), had a massage at the spa, learned how to make Greek coffee, did an embroidery lesson with a nun from the local monastery, and visited Agrecofarm for a tour followed by a traditional Greek dinner. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and trying out new things. Last but definitely not least, a special thank you to Paulos at the Kafeino. If you enjoy coffee, don't leave without trying his Greek coffee! And to Georgios, the Assistant Manager, who made us feel so at home throughout our stay. We've stayed in quite a few five-star hotels over the years, and this one is right up there with the best. We honestly couldn't find a single thing to complain about. Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff, amazing food and a really relaxing atmosphere. We were so sad to leave but will definitely be booking again! Thank you to everyone at Grecotel Creta Palace for the best family holiday we have ever had!"
Kyma Suites Beach Hotel
"Front desk staff was very attentive and helpful, tending to our every need with utmost diligence. They were cordial and efficient. Room was spotless and comfortable. Location was perfect for a day at the beach and an evening downtown. Price-quality relation is very good. Highly recommend."
Kriti Beach Hotel
"We stayed at Kriti Beach for 10 nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent. Rather than offering an overwhelming selection, the hotel focused on high-quality ingredients and consistently well-prepared meals. Even our children enjoyed every meal, which says a lot. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. A well-managed hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. We would gladly stay here again."
Elina Hotel Apartments
"Excellent location just minutes from the beach and promenade. Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, etc. in the immediate vicinity. The pool wasn't very large but it was wonderful for cooling off. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We had an apartment at the front of the hotel with a nice balcony. The street is quite busy/lively, but once the doors and windows are closed, you don't notice it anymore. We didn't book breakfast at the hotel, but there are lovely places nearby for breakfast. Free parking in the area can be a challenge, but there is plenty of paid parking."
Batis Aero Beachfront Wellbeing Hotel
"Great hotel. Perfect location. Clean and very friendly staff."
Nautilux Rethymno by Mage Hotels
"The hotel is located a half-hour walk from the city, and there is free parking around the hotel. This is an advantage as the rooms are quite modern. And the breakfast is very good and quite varied."
Ilian Beach & Apartments
"I came across these apartments via the internet and booked direct. They were just what we were looking for. A small complex right on the beach with tavernas and supermarkets within easy reach. The only criticism we have is that the air con could have been more effective. This wouldn’t be a problem earlier or later in the season as it was very hot when we were there. There was a sliding metal shutter and mosquito net on the balcony doors. We had a studio on the top floor with a lovely side view of the pool and sea. There was plenty of equipment but no toaster which didn’t bother us. The pool was lovely and warm and not too deep and there was room to put sun loungers in the garden area where you could find shade under a palm tree if you didn’t want to sit by the pool. The bar had a lovely seating area right on the beach perfect to watch the sunset. There weren’t many English guests in the apartments nor the resort which made a nice change!"
Atrium Ambiance Hotel
"We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The pool area was beautiful, clean and well maintained a lovely place to relax. There were always plenty of sunbeds, and the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, making it easy to spend hours enjoying the sunshine. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed while still being relaxing. The food was very good, with a nice selection each day, and overall we couldn't fault it. Thank you to everyone at Atrium Ambiance for making our stay so enjoyable—we'll definitely be back! The service was outstanding, and every member of staff was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our holiday even more enjoyable."
Menta City Boutique Hotel
"A few minutes walk from the old town (km. 1), clean, modern and friendly staff. Parking and wi-fi very useful. Excellent price (April period) mini apartment."
Bio Suites Hotel & Spa
"Very nice spa and Nice hotell. We have enjoyd or stay. Nice personal both in The reception and The Spa. We had the duo appointmen in The Spa with Evdokia, Ntina and Xrisa. It was vert nice. Good service and very welcoming proppe."
Macaris Suites & Spa
"Everything was more than perfect. We got a small room upgrade, a nice gesture. The hotel is well located, the rooms (apartment) are large, very clean and very well equipped. On the 4th floor no problem with the road below. Same with the swimming pool which is great. Bar available during the day. Barbecue evening every Wednesday evening is very cool. ALL the staff are super nice and competent. The SPA is perfect, Mariana is super attentive and super professional. Great stay at Macaris 👍👍"
