"An excellent and unique experience in the heart of Rethymnon town. The hotel has a very relaxing ambience as soon as you walk through the entrance. The water theme and spa like music set you up for a relaxing visit. The room we were allocated was perfect, we were in room 2. Our name on the door to greet us I found to be a nice touch. We were happy with the comfort within the room,and good lighting throughout. The well in the toilet area was so unique and interesting. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, providing advice regarding parking and local restaurants. The breakfast was lovely too, traditional Greek options with good coffee. We would definitely return to this hotel."

"Without doubt this is one of our favourite accommodation to stay anywhere never mind in the wonderful town of Rethymnon and the suites are simply stunning. The location is just perfect right in the heart of the old town but inside the Hamam Oriental it is so quiet with a real tranquil ambience. We were staying again in the Cyclamen Suite which really is luxurious with everything you could possibly need for the perfect stay and the past have also stayed in the Hyacinth Suite which is also fantastic with a private jacuzzi on the terrace. We can't recommend thses suites highly enough and will definitely return the next time we are in Rethymnon."

"Hotel location is OK, very close to the beach, 20 minutes walk from the old town. But the hotel facilities are too old and too general. The advantage is that you can cook by yourself. After playing in Greece for so many days, I really want to make a hot noodles by myself, so I went to the nearby supermarket to buy ingredients and make it myself."

"The hotel is located a short walk from the beach and main promenade. It’s a 20 minute walk to the old town, which is definitely worth a visit. With the hotel being slightly back from the main front it is a quiet and relaxing place to stay. The atmosphere is a friendly one, the staff are so attentive and cannot do enough for you, I cannot fault them. We were initially greeted by a lovely receptionist, who explained as it was nearly midnight at time of arrival they had put on a plate of cold meat, cheese and fruit, which I thought was a thoughtful touch. This hotel is couples only which is perfect for us as we came away to relax. We were always able to get a really nice sun bed, often the Bali bed type. The food overall was excellent, however at breakfast they do cater more for a continental crowd , I would have preferred a fresh omelette daily or British bacon and sausage. The room facilities were also excellent, with a very comfortable bed and really good shower, however there is no Netflix on the TV which I would of expected and only two English channels, this was not an issue for us as I had my IPad and didn’t watch much TV. The snack bar and bar staff were excellent. The town itself is so picturesque, with plenty to do, we will definitely be returning. I cannot fault this holiday and honestly can say this is one of the best holidays I have ever had."

"An excellent small and friendly hotel. Nice place to explore Rethymno from. Everything is within walking distance; old port and old town. The beautiful wide beaches and many good restaurants. You can walk everywhere within 10 to 15 minutes. Every employee is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a wide choice. This way you can have something different for breakfast every day. And the ladies of the housekeeping are not only very friendly, but also do their job very well. And with a smile."

Grecotel Creta Palace
"We had a great vacation at Grecotel Creta Palace. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. Food was consistently good, the à la carte restaurants were excellent, and the drinks were better than expected. We also loved the beach service—having cocktails delivered straight to our sunbeds was a nice touch. Room service was fast and reliable. The evening entertainment was another highlight. There was stylish live music every night and good-quality shows without feeling over the top. We really enjoyed the complimentary Greek cooking class with Chef Niko and the Greek coffee workshop - both lead by charismatic Georgios Mavrangelidis. They were fun, well organized and a nice way to experience Greek culture. Thanks also to Nastia from Guest Relations for always being helpful. Our daughter enjoyed the Kids Club as well - the team there was very dedicated. Our room - Double Superior Sea view - itself could be more functional. We had to ask for extra hangers, there was no proper place to store our suitcases, and we missed a drying rack on the balcony for swimsuits and towels. The location is great—Rethymno is only a short drive away and definitely worth visiting for dinner or an evening walk. The hotel beach is nice, but if you’re renting a car, I’d definitely recommend exploring the island. Crete has more scenic beaches with calmer water and excellent spots for snorkeling and diving. Overall, we’d definitely recommend the hotel and would happily come back. Thank you, dear Creta Palace Team❤️"

All areas within the hotel were also kept clean to a high standard. This hotel is a smaller hotel but you are in Rethymno where all the action is from culture to tourism and much more."

"Found this accommodation to be exactly as advertised, short walk to the beach, shops, supermarkets and the old town. It had everything I needed, the staff were wonderful special thanks to Alex and Genny on reception so helpful also my cleaner, room cleaned every day, bedding and towels changed every couple of days. They all went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable and safe. The only downside was the traffic noise due to the location on a busy junction but I adapted after a couple of nights. I would recommend this hotel. Big thanks to all the staff"

"Had a wonderful week in a studio apartment. We arrived around 1.30 am and the young man in the beach bar ( didn’t get his name ) was waiting for us carried our cases up to our room and asked us if we would like to have a drink from the beach bar before we went to bed which he had kept open for our arrival . The apartment was spotless the beds comfy beautiful view from the balcony . Maria was fabulous and katarina they worked so hard in immense heat , it reached 35 degrees when we were there ! The pool was lovely we always managed to get a sun bed . Lots of restaurants nearby we ate in 1+1 twice it’s fabulous amazing value for money , we had 2 mains half a litre of wine and water for 33 euros and they give you a complimentary shot of raki and a dessert , highly recommended. We also ate in the Greek taverna ( that’s its name ) again beautiful food and great value . There’s a bakery and lots of supermarkets 5 mins walk away . When head for the beach and turn left there is the promenade leading to the harbour and old town it is lined with restaurants and gift shops and supermarkets it only took us at the most 25 minutes to walk and 7 euro in a taxi . The old town is beautiful as is the harbour the bars and restaurants around the harbour benefit from a lovely breeze coming off the sea . We took a trip to spinalonga definitely worth it . Had a great week if I return to Crete I would definitely stay here again , Thankyou Maria and crew ."

"The room is large, the terrace pool and the view are very good, the pool is very clean, and the hotel's private beach is better than the beach next to it. The restaurant is very good, the five-course dinner is impeccable and worth the money. The snacks provided by the beach bar are also very delicious. The only drawback is that the double bed is not ideal and the bedding is not comfortable enough."

"We had a wonderful stay at Melrose Hotel. The location was excellent, just a two-minute walk to the main high street and the beach, which made getting around really easy and convenient. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of wine and a small bottle of Raki waiting in our room, which was a really thoughtful touch and made our stay feel extra special. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, with a modern feel throughout. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice each morning. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone, from the front desk team to the breakfast and dinner staff, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Their service made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Crete."
