Itria Palace ★★★★
"Great place to stay if you are travelling through Sicily. Walk to the Cathedral see the piazza and grab a meal. It’s a good walk up the hill but we managed it very well. You can park in the e council car park 20m away."
La Corte di Ibla ★★★
"The property is located right in the historic center. It's not accessible by car, but a 10-minute walk. The Duomo is a 5-minute walk from the property. The property is clean. There are breakfast bars nearby."
Mediterraneo Palace Hotel ★★★★
"The Palace was a beautiful resort. The staff was impeccably trained, spoke English and were cordial throughout our stay. The grounds were stunning and the restaurant food delicious. Our stay was perfect."
San Giorgio Palace Hotel Ragusa Ibla ★★★★
"The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to town. A short walk up the steps and around the corner leads to the St. George's Basilica in Ragusa Ibra. For €5, you can take a mini-train to tour the town's other churches. The hotel itself isn't large; carrying large suitcases can be tiring, as you have to climb a 20-meter ramp and walk along a long corridor. The facilities are basic. If you're only staying one night, you can't expect too much. The hotel terrace offers a view of a corner of the town."
De Stefano Palace Luxury Hotel ★★★★
"Fantastic location and charming staff. The best beds of the trip. Elegantly appointed and well maintained. It is a converted palazzo so the layout was a bit strange. Each of our rooms included two king beds in two generously sized rooms…one medium firm and one firm. But only one chair. There were benches too so plenty of room. The large bathrooms included only a tub with a wand and no shower. Fun watching my husband take his first bath in at least 20 years! We had apertivo in the hotel and the cocktails were well made. The staff even brought snacks out without us having to ask. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee service and eggs on the buffet. It was the first hotel on this trip that included several milk alternatives and gluten free options. The location made walking down to Ragusa Ibla easy (we did take a taxi back up). They had free parking a few blocks away that allowed us easy access to our car. They also offered a pool and gardens at a sister hotel a few blocks away. My only wish was for coffee in the rooms."
Ibla Rooms ★★★
"A great location and excellent value for money. Hearty and local breakfast. Staff available and very pleasant. Free parking in the surrounding area and upon arrival in the city. The centers of interest are all within walking distance."
Residence Dei Viali ★★★★
"This property in a residential area of Ragusa is very quiet and clean with large and comfortable rooms organized in mini apartments with independent kitchens. The widespread courtesy of the staff is noteworthy. The weak points are the limited parking at certain times and the poor Sicilian breakfast."
Villa Boscarino ★★★★
"This hotel is a total delight. The original late nineteenth-century building is very beautiful (mostly mock Norman-Arabic) with the most charming gardens, pretty (if small) pool, and elegant modern rooms. The chapel, where you can choose to breakfast is especially lovely. The staff are smiling, helpful, a pleasure. The only drawback is that the hotel is a short walk into old Ragusa, and a fair schlep from Ibla. As a moderately fit man in my early sixties, I found this fine, but those who don't like a stroll should perhaps look for somewhere more central. For me this remains perhaps the nicest hotel in which I have ever stayed."
Hotel Il Barocco ★★★
"The hotel was very nice and affordable. Also the location was very convenient and the breakfast selection was also great! Only good things to say about this hotel!"

Acacia Marina
"Lovely hotel a few minutes from sandy beach. 2 good sized pools 1 over 12s only + jacuzzis. Our room with a side seaview was a good size with full length and breadth window/glass door and good bathroom and good a/c. Worth extra money if you intend to sit out/spend time in your room or on balcony. Buffet breakfast well managed with tables cleared & relayed promptly as with the wide vatiety of breskfast items which included cook to order egg/omlette/panckes. We went half board and enjoyed the variety - different every night with typically a fish, meat and pasta dish cooked for you in a few minutes. A wide selection of savoury and sweet items again different every night. Majorty of guests used the many different restsurants in the area which those we spoke to said were good. Well staffed - waiters were charming and helpful particularly Giuseppe and Benjamin who always had time to say hello. Reception staff were helpful as was Jet2 rep who was from the local area so very knowledgable. Sadly it was a bit too hot for us to do the trips on offer to several historical sites. Would recommend the afternoon/ early evening speedboat trip which we were offered. . The journey from airport is just over 2 hours but does give you a chance to see some more of Sicilly. We were 2 sisters recently retired"
Casato Licitra
Poggio Del Sole Hotel
" Poggio del Sole Hotel Is a hotel of contradiction with impressive and grossly unimpressive features. The hotel is very large considering its remote, rural location. The foyer area is enormous with a large comfortable lounge area. There are numerous large dining areas and you can also eat by the side of the large pool. The pool also has a bar so you can order drinks and snacks. The decor is tasteful with wooden reproductions of a variety of cactus plants including the prickly pear, a noxious **** in Australia but its fruit is used to flavour spirits in Sicily. All sounds very impressive and favourable so far. So how do most people spend most of their time besides sleeping? Browsing the Internet on their phones and iPads. Whilst “free WiFi” signs are common in hotels, cafes etc., it is now a universal expectation. With this in mind, efficient internet connectivity is both mandatory and essential. During our two day stay, WiFi was generally unavailable. To make matters worse, the restaurant menu was only available electronically and there were no paper back up menus. Selecting a food choice from an invisible menu is a challenge. Understandably the restaurant staff seemed to be in a permanent state of stress. The food was very good but a prayer may be needed to get what you ordered. Oh! yes. The rooms are large and have all the expected facilities except for drink making items. Large bed but with 3-stars for comfort. Large bathroom, hot water but wafer thin towels. So lots of pluses, a few minor negatives and the WiFi issue may not be a regular problem (suspect it is), restaurants have atmosphere and reasonable food so just remember to bring a book to read for when your mobile device is inoperative."
Artemisia Resort
"Lovely hotel, wonderful and sweet hotel staff. The food and pool were great!"
Acacia Palace
"I don't know on what basis they gave 4 stars, carpet full of stains, broken toilet seat, the double bed is actually two joined beds, the curtains are so thin that they can't darken the room, and all this in a delax double room paid €240 a night... certainly with this price we expected much more"
Relais Antica Badia - San Maurizio 1619
"Great location and unique rooms. Wonderful breakfast selection"
Palazzo Antoci
"Exceptional Ragusa Experience! This turned out to be one of our most memorable and enjoyable stays during our 2-week trip around Sicily. The property is in a beautifully maintained historical family Palazzo. The lovely historical furniture and artifacts contribute to the unique accommodations. Our room was an upgraded suite which was very comfortable, notable, and spacious. The hosts Rafaella and Giovanni are extremely warm and hospitable. Rafaella bakes many of the delicious Sicilian morning pastries and desserts and we enjoyed learning about Ragusa's history from both of them. The Palazzo has been the site of many notable meetings throughout the history of Ragusa as Rafaella's great grandfather held a high position in Ragusa's early leadership. The Palazzo has been nicely renovated to receive guests while maintaining many of the original features (i.e. original floor tiles lifted for utility work then replaced). The main floor of the palazzo is up a beautiful staircase, but a lift is also available. The location is superb for walking to the main sites of Ragusa and there are many restaurants nearby. HIGHLY recommended for a unique experience in Sicily."
Relais Chiaramonte
"From the online photos I expected much better. We were lucky we rented a car because to get to our suite we had to go down a very steep dirt road. I was not impressed with the suite I booked. I was with my 2 children and when the sofabed was opened you could hardly move because there was no space. On the night that we arrived we were too tired to go out to eat, so we decided to eat at the restaurant. My daughter tried to book but they told her they’re fully booked. Finally they said we can go. At the restaurant only 3 tables had people the others were all empty. The food was not impressive at all. I was extremely disappointed. Spending €600 in room and food for 1 night is not cheap. I expected much better. I was with my 2 children and booked a suite. The moment the sofabed was open you could hardly move in that room. It was clean yes, but definitely not what me and my children expected!!!"
Villa Del Lauro
"Attention : the receptionist is a big liar ! The guy working at the reception is a disaster. He is dishonest and tried to charge twice the normal price for taxi that we ordered which was already over priced (130€ for 30 minutes ride vs. 60€ normal price) against huge commission from taxi company. Furthermore, they tried to charge the minibar which was free. The receptionist showed unwillingness when we left the luggage at the reception upon check out, even though it was to store for just a few hours, time to visit the old town. He put lots of pressure for check out time even it was about 11:10 and wanted to ask us to pay extra. There was no wifi nor air conditioning in the room which was literally a small cave. No fresh air in the room and impossible to get hot water for baby in the room. In addition, they forgot to put baby cot and charged additional fee for it (first time in Sicily during our 2-week trip). The only positive thing is that the servers for breakfast were very nice and helpful and there is a nice pool. It’s a pity that it’s ruined by the receptionists who were unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. The hotel’s management should alert the receptionists and give them a proper training."
La Casa di Matilde
Giardino Sul Duomo
"The hotel is beautiful, very friendly staff and wonderful services"
Centosedici Rooms
"Visited Ragusa for one night - we had a delux double room with balacony. Easy to find with free parking directly opposite Centosedici. The place itself is beautiful- carved out of stone. Our room was huge, the stone walls inside were stunning. Large comfy bed. The bathroom was lovely too- curtain instead of a door, with all that fabulous stone work in the room. Don't let that out you off! Elisabet was super helpful and the breakfast was very nice- great coffee!! Centosedici is about 6/7 mins short walk into Ragusa Ibla, which is a lovely out town. Plenty of artisan shops, churches, lovely gardens and restaurants. It's a very relaxing place"
