"The hotel is fantastically located and has phenomenal views. Every morning during breakfast, you can watch dolphins swim around the hotel. The drive from Pula airport takes about an hour. The rooms, as well as the entire hotel, are very, very clean. The staff is friendly, smiling, and professional. The hotel reception can arrange car rentals. This is worth doing to explore nearby Labin and Pula. The amphitheater in Pula is stunning, especially at night. You can even take a trip to Venice. The journey takes about three hours. The food is excellent and varied. We spent a wonderful, hot week here. My only comment: since this hotel is mainly occupied by families with children, it would be worth considering designated smoking areas. I didn't like it when adults were smoking nearby during the evening children's disco."

"Everything was excellent once again. The one thing missing was evening entertainment. The resort is very clean. Everyone friendly. Great for families, young and old. You can walk out of your hotel and straight onto the beach. You can stroll along the promenade into Rabac centre where you find shops, bars and restaurants."

"What makes a perfect family holiday than a complete family tretment we received at Girandella Family hotel. From the ease of reservations, reminders, promotions and availability of online Check in (which we skipped since it was our first time here and because i would consider myself more traditional face to face person) to the whole experience as we in Croatia would say "Nije nam falilo ni ptičjeg mlika". Arrival: upon arrival at parking we were welcomed by the team "in white" who had taken our car plates, escorted us with EV to reception and than after check in escoreted to our room and delivered our luggage directly to room, most gently and friendly as possible i would say. Reception: no crowd in reception area, welcomed by receptionists, and a senior receptionist, a lady with such calm and relaxing voice and charisma that i managed to follow in all directions (and believe me there is a lot directions) on how to achieve the best from all amenities. I would say the least stressfull experience ever over any reception desk (and i worked on some). And the small token for our boy as a gift ( i wont spoil suprises) was just that final touch. Location: Well, there is little to say about Rabac, and yet so many things. It kept the same familiar atmosphere as it had almost 35 years ago on my first meeting with Rabac. and once you experience it, you always come back. And Girandella resort is no exception. Room: we received Family suite 2+2 seaview with balcony even though we booked just a 2+1 room, so this experience boosted the start of our short vacation. Thank you for this kind gesture, it was amazing. The room was extra clean, tidy, no damages, with welcoming kit in the bathroom, and it was extra spacious. View from room window and the balcony, well, breathtaking. As it was suite, there was plenty of storage space, hot pot for coffee and tea which was in the room as well. 2 doors to balcony so if you lock one you might escape on other. It is pretty well sound isolated, so you dont hear your neighbours talking or doing anything. And even if this is family friendly resort, i havent heard a single dog bark, which was for me extra positive side. Pools: there were 2 pools in the hotel area, one shallow with 2 slides for smaller children, and one deeper, 1,30 m pool, well, for slihtly bigger children, but great for toddlers learning to swim. Temperature of the pools was 30/32 degrees C. One extra fantastic thing is the shade sail that stood over the shallower pool which in this heat posed one of the best things around. Splashin part was the best for long lastin entertainment for all ages. And another parts was artifical grassland with a lot of shade and place for kids to play in shade and sleep during the strongest sun. And you could access the 2 beaches just through the stairs and 30 second walk. Splash bar which worked from 11:00-18:00 provided just enough refreshment. There would be people wanting more offered, but there are other bars just outsid"

"Valamar Sanfior Hotel + Casa is an extraordinary hotel, this was our 4th visit during springtime. Staff is highly professional and customer-oriented, we requested a room upgrade when we arrived and they immediately showed a much nicer room for us, free of charge. The SPA has been recently renovated, which is really nice, the restaurant serves excellent food with great variety, the surrounding being in pre-season is quiet and pleasant."

"This hotel has a great location on the pedestrian promenade of Rabac, with numbered parking spaces allocated to guests on the road behind which is great (you're given a key for a padlocked space on arrival, if you advise them in advance that you will have a car). Breakfast (included in our rate) was a good buffet selection with particularly nice fresh sliced fruit and fresh bread to slice yourself. Breakfast staff were very helpful and provided hot drinks and were generally very on the ball. Our double bed was comfortable. Rooms feel rather corporate and impersonal but are fine. Standard rooms are below the level of the walkway so you only have a sea view when standing up but it was nice to have chairs out on our own section of terrace even if not private, given people can look down on you from outside! If you want more privacy, ie a room with a balcony on a higher floor, then you need to choose a more expensive room category. The terrace gets the sun most of the day so is very hot, with the glass screen by the walkway keeping any breeze away. There were no proper chairs inside our standard room, just one stool by the desk/mirror table. There is however a wardrobe complete with minibar fridge and kettle and supplies for hot drinks, plus a safe. A complimentary bottle of water was provided in the room on our 1st day but not replaced on our second day. It was a shower over the bath. Personally we prefer walk in showers, but it was a decent pressure and hot. Plenty of dining options very close by, plus a bakery next door. Just to note that reception was a bit odd - it was not obvious from outside as we approached. It turns out that the reception office is really just a cubicle inside a door marked with room numbers. Once inside, then there's a round table marked Reception immediately outside of the cubicle, but it would be good to have a Reception sign on the outside wall to help new arrivals know they've come to the right door! But once we were in, both receptionists we met were helpful. Beach towels are available on request from reception and we spent a day on the main Rabac beach which is 5 mins walk around the promenade. It's a pebble beach but we were pleasantly surprised to find that just a few metres out there was a lovely sandy bottom. 2 sun loungers and a sunshade were 25 euros to rent for the day. There's a decent pizzeria behind, belonging to one of the big hotels, where we enjoyed a pizza and Greek salad lunch. If you prefer small hotels then the Adoral is for you - there are some huge hotel complexes locally which seemed popular with families but they aren't our thing, so we were pleased with our choice! Rabac is a busy small resort but is surprisingly scenic, set at the end of a valley below Labin, and there's a nice harbour area just around the corner from the hotel with some bars and more restaurants. We used the local tourist "train" to scope out the local area on arrival - it costs 3 euros for an adult single ticket and r"

"My wife and I stayed one night at Hotel Villa Annette and chose this boutique accommodation as we were seeking a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of crowds. The hotel (which has 12 rooms) is located high on the hill in a quiet location and offers lovely views of the Bay of Rabac. Ample free parking is readily available, with the rooms on the higher floors (which are accessible by stairs) having the best views, with rooms on level 3 offering the best outlook. Our Classic Suite was extremely spacious, nicely furnished, clean, comfortable, and comprised a bedroom with a king bed and TV, a living room with a sofa which converted into an additional double bed and another TV. There were also two bathrooms (one with a bathtub), whilst the balcony was large and offered a nice view of the bay. The room included two air-conditioners, a mini bar refrigerator stocked with a variety of drinks, as well as tea / coffee making facilities. The free Wi-Fi worked well. The swimming pool area was a lovely feature of the complex and besides having pool lounge chair seating (with the option of umbrellas) around the pool, also had an undercover bar / dining area where one could order drinks and also light food such as tapas, schnitzel, chips, sandwiches, and the like for lunch or during the course of the afternoon. The quality of the food was very good. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a large variety of food choices available, as well as the option to have eggs cooked to your liking or have breakfast in the nearby outdoor garden if one wished. Staff were very efficient, friendly and provided first-class service adding to the quality of our stay. It should be noted that the hotel restaurant is not open for evening meals, and you really need to have your own vehicle to be able to access the restaurants in Rabac (5-minute drive), as to walk entails at least a 30-minute walk down and then in excess of 45 minutes to walk back up the very steep hill to the hotel. Staff were very helpful in providing the best parking options in close proximity to the restaurant we had booked. In conclusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our very relaxing and peaceful stay at Hotel Villa Annette and would have no hesitation in staying at this location should we return to Rabac. "

"We were initially placed in room 724, which was very poor. The room smelled musty. Small and dark. Right on the road. It was close to a loading and unloading center. At 6 a.m., goods were being unloaded. The truck kept idling. Sleeping was impossible. We had an excursion early the next morning. Complaints could only be made in the evening. The receptionist on duty had no authority whatsoever. "Come back tomorrow!" The next day, after a bad night, we went back to reception. The same receptionist with no authority. "Come back tomorrow!" Only when we reacted very disillusioned was he willing to speak to the manager. We were given another room, 335. This one was definitely not 4-star. The ceiling was damaged. Debris was scattered on the floor, the shower door was loose, and shower water remained in the shower tray. The sink drain didn't work."
