Situated in the center of the old colonial district of Quito the Hotel Patio Andaluz made a perfect location for our visit to the city. The hotel is visually stunning, far beyond what you might expect from the somewhat reserved exterior. We had breakfast and dinner over several days and the food was always delicious and the service excellent. As is the case in almost any major city you must be aware of your surroundings when walking the area, and should have a partner to help guard against petty theft. Walking in any large city at night is not recommended, as is the case here.

Lovely boutique hotel close to main square. Big comfortable rooms around open balcony. Friendly and welcoming staff. Superb location. Great restaurant and lovely breakfast. We slept soundly although there was occasional external which is a consequence of the hotel design.

Patio Andaluz is a very nice hotel in a central Quito location. The concierge and staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the included buffet breakfast, and were even given breakfast in to-go bags when we needed to leave in the early morning. Make sure to take advantage of the free chocolate tasting (just ask at the front desk), which was fun and informative. I have only two complaints about this hotel. First, the rooms can be noisy because they are situated around an open courtyard with a restaurant in the middle. Second, the restaurant itself was sort of strange. It was always empty (except for breakfast) and we did not enjoy the food when we dined at dinner. All in all, this hotel is a solid and safe choice in Quito!

A chance to stay in a converted historic building with rooms situated around several internal courtyards. Plenty of seating to relax on the verandahs in comfortable chairs and lounges. Our room was clean and comfortable, good bed, fluffy towels. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We ate dinner twice in the hotel and the meals were very good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located near the old town so it was easy to do a walking tour directly from the hotel.

The vibe and architecture of this hotel is beautiful. Service was very good. We had a family room that was two floors, the room was cleaned but the AC stopped working on day one and had to get fans, still it felt extremely hot so it was difficult to sleep. The breakfast was ok, nothing amazing, the first day we came down at 9:30am (they close at 10am) and almost everything was empty, from the bread baskets to the few hot trays, and it wasn’t replenished so didn’t get to eat much so heads up. It did get very noisy sometimes even with the street noise.

Everything about the Hotel Patio was amazing. From their clean and spacious rooms to their full breakfast. I cannot think of anything that I would change. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. The location is perfect in Old Town. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Quito.

This hotel is a beautiful place. Some rooms remain me my Mother in law house. I got the unique and only big suite with a panoramic View which I enjoy a lot.
