"I initially planned to stay for one night, but I was so pleased that I extended my stay for another day. What I loved most was being able to wash all my travel-worn clothes here. The hotel provided a dryer, washing machine, and laundry detergent, making it feel just as convenient as being at home. It gave me a chance to get all my clothes neatly cleaned after a long journey.
This kind of hotel is perfect for regular folks like us who aren't looking for lavishness but definitely appreciate great value for money. The front desk staff were very friendly; they'd always greet me enthusiastically whenever I passed by, recommend tourist attractions, and even tell me where to find delicious BBQ. In short, it felt like they were genuinely dedicated to providing excellent service. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Quanzhou.
My car has a Sichuan A license plate, and I was initially worried about parking it in the hotel lot, thinking it might not be safe. But I was overthinking it; the hotel parking lot is actually very secure, and it's free too."

"We arrived at the hotel around noon, and the front desk allowed us to check in early. Since the room we booked didn't have a window, the hotel upgraded us to a room with one, which was very thoughtful. We received a fruit platter upon check-in and warm congee in the evening, making for a fantastic experience. When we checked out to go sightseeing, they even provided extra bottled water. I'll definitely choose ECHARM again next time."

"The room was spacious enough for three people without feeling cramped, and it even had a two-seater sofa and chairs. The location was incredibly convenient, just over 10 minutes' drive from West Street, Guan Yue Temple, Tianhou Temple, and the Puppet Theater. We stayed for three days by car, and there were parking spaces right outside the hotel. When returning at night, the staff were always there to help us park – a truly excellent experience. Most importantly, it's incredibly close to Quanzhou Railway Station. Our train was at 4 PM, so we could relax at the hotel after a morning of sightseeing. They even gave us a free late check-out. A special thank you to our butler, Yannis, for his attentive service throughout our stay. If we needed anything, just ask Yannis, and he took care of everything. Thank you! 🙏"

"I chose this old hotel, mentally prepared for what to expect, but reality still hit me a bit. The bathroom fixtures felt like something from the last century – a cheap glass partition held together with white silicone sealant. It barely qualifies as a guesthouse. I did see attempts at modernization, like the automatic flush toilet and a plastic phone holder from Pinduoduo, but the cramped space made it impossible to enjoy. The soundproofing was also terrible; I could clearly hear conversations from the next room.
To be fair, the service was genuinely excellent. There was concierge service upon arrival, the front desk staff were very professional, and the breakfast standard was higher than many five-star hotels I've stayed at in other cities. The value for money is truly outstanding, especially compared to overpriced options like All Seasons, Orange, and Atour. The signature 'Mian Xian Hu' (vermicelli paste) was as good as what you'd find at established local eateries. Both Western and Chinese dishes were available and satisfying.
The location is convenient; it's a quick bus ride to the old city, or you can even walk. There's a food street next door with plenty of dining options. I enjoyed a good beer and tried Mian Xian Hu and 'Tu Sun Dong' (sea worm jelly) there.
However, I decided to switch hotels the next day hoping for an improvement, but it ended up being even worse."

"This hotel definitely maintains the usual Atour style and service. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, the facilities inside were comprehensive, and the pillows were incredibly comfortable. The late-night congee service and breakfast were both excellent. I especially want to commend the laundry service; it was super convenient, and they even delivered the dried clothes to my room. For those driving, while the parking lot isn't huge, there were always spaces available. Quanzhou, despite its somewhat average urban development, is a city rich in faith and tradition, often called 'the earthly office of the gods.' Because of this, I found the people of Quanzhou to be incredibly hospitable and friendly, which left a very deep impression on me. However, the room I was given was a bit odd, located right on a corner. Also, while early check-in isn't always guaranteed, it's rare nowadays for a hotel to strictly make you wait until 2 PM to check in. Perhaps the room availability was truly tight. Overall, the minor issues don't detract from a very positive experience. Thumbs up!"

"This was my first trip to Quanzhou, and I took advantage of the off-season to avoid the crowds. My friend's choice of guesthouse was excellent as always. Check-in was smooth, and the housekeeper called ahead to tell us where to get off (the guesthouse is on a pedestrian street, so cars can't reach the entrance directly; it's about a 100-meter walk). There are tons of great food options around the ancient city, so eating, staying, and playing all nearby was super convenient. They were very thoughtful during check-in; I was thirsty, and they offered icy cold winter melon tea with sea jelly. There was also a complimentary afternoon tea downstairs where I enjoyed a cup of coffee, which was quite pleasant! The air conditioning was already on in the room when I arrived, making it very comfortable. It smelled lovely, with no strange odors, and the hygiene was impeccable. What brand is the mattress? I slept so soundly, all the way until morning. The breakfast was also pretty good, with 'Mian Xian Hu' (vermicelli paste) being a local Quanzhou specialty. Next time I have free time, I'll bring my family here to visit. It was a really good experience."

YyueguangwuzhenOur family trip to the historic ancient city of Quanzhou included my soon-to-be college freshman child, my nearly eighty-year-old mother, and my dear sister and brother-in-law. We intentionally chose to travel after the peak summer season, and after comparing numerous accommodations, we settled on Lu Shi Homestay. The host proactively reached out on WeChat, setting up a group chat. They thoughtfully inquired about our pillow preferences and even kindly advised us to use Didi for navigation, which turned out to be incredibly accurate and useful! We arrived around 7 PM. The staff were all young men, not formal concierges, but rather friendly 'boys next door' with outstanding attitudes, making us feel incredibly welcome! The homestay's location is simply superb. Its side entrance is directly on Xiangfeng Lane, and my favorite Mustard Seed Bookstore is just a two-minute walk away. It truly offers a peaceful retreat amidst the city's vibrancy. Every detail at the homestay was incredibly thoughtful! They even provided hand-drawn guide maps, which was a delightful touch that added so much to our joy. In the evenings, there were even open-air movies shown on the rooftop, creating a fantastic ambiance! The housekeeping staff were also incredibly kind, always greeting us with warm smiles – it truly warmed our hearts! Quanzhou is truly a wonderful city, and Lu Shi, we'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserI checked in with my daughter and sister from the 20th to the 24th December 2024 and we had a wonderful experience! The hotel is very new, and the 2 rooms are impressively spacious, providing great comfort throughout our stay.
The location, though not accessible by large vehicles, is well-served by convenient smaller vehicles called ”xiao bai,” which made getting around a breeze. This thoughtful arrangement added to the charm of the place.
One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. As someone from Singapore, I was thrilled to find my hometown breakfast featured alongside Quanzhou cuisine. The fusion of flavors was delightful, and we looked forward to it every morning.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, with a special mention to Zhuang Zhuang for going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel at home.

It made getting around and finding great food incredibly easy. Check-in at the front desk was very efficient, and they even proactively offered local travel tips. The service was warm, attentive, and really thoughtful. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep. The cleanliness was impeccable; every detail, from the guest rooms to the common areas, was spotless. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with a great balance of Chinese and Western options, and all ingredients were fresh and delicious. The value for money far exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit and have already enthusiastically recommended it to all my friends!

YYizhiwangao_My best friend came to Quanzhou from Wuhan to visit me, and a local friend recommended this guesthouse in Qingyuan Mountain. I stayed there and it was indeed very nice, mainly because of its excellent location, right halfway up Qingyuan Mountain. Qingyuan Mountain is a 5A-level scenic area in Quanzhou, so the scenery and natural environment are definitely top-notch. I drove up myself; the navigation map provided by the guesthouse was very detailed and even had pictures and explanations, but I still felt a little insecure while driving—the roads were so wild, haha! Finally, I arrived safely. There were plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel, making parking easy. The whole hotel has a teahouse/Zen retreat style, very elegant. The rooms were exactly as pictured on Ctrip, no exaggeration. Opening the balcony door revealed a fantastic view! We were going to Qingyuan Mountain for a hike and some tea, and the hotel staff even offered to drive us there. Since it was quite a distance, we hiked for over forty minutes and were getting a bit tired, so we told the hotel manager. The manager arranged for a handsome young man to take us up the mountain. Before we came down, we told the manager again, and the young man came to pick us up again. The service was excellent; the young man was very handsome and had excellent manners, always smiling – such a rare find! We Minnan people love young people who are perceptive, smiling, and not glib. This young man has a bright future ahead of him. The hotel also has its own forest oxygen bar, with tranquil mountain paths and tea gardens and longan trees nearby. The longan fruits were so heavy they bent the branches. The welcome fruit in the room must have been freshly picked from the longan trees in the hotel courtyard, but unfortunately, my friend and I are both prone to getting a sore throat, so we didn't dare eat too much. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel butler sent us the menu, and we had told him what we wanted to eat while we were on the mountain so we could eat as soon as we came down. We were just hoping to fill our stomachs, but it was surprisingly delicious. Their organic vegetables (water spinach) were crisp and slightly sweet. The stone olive and small intestine soup had a very traditional flavor, and the portion was very generous with lots of small intestines and ribs stewed in it. The Anxi fried rice noodles were also delicious. My friend loves spicy food, so the chef made her a small dish of chili sauce. My friend said it was delicious and ranked among the top three chili sauces she had ever eaten. Even I, a Quanzhou native who doesn't eat spicy food, tried a few bites. It was quite spicy, but more than that, it was very fragrant. I gave the chef a thumbs up. I originally wanted to buy this 30-yuan chili sauce from the hotel, but they said it was homemade and not currently for sale. However, they still gave us a jar, carefully wrapped it in cling film, and then sealed it with a lid. I thought they would ask me for the 30 yuan when I checked out the next day (we accepted the chili sauce with a clear conscience because we were already planning to pay), but the hotel manager said it was a free gift, and we felt embarrassed. As for the sleep quality at night, it was very quiet, with only the chirping of insects, which turned into white noise after a while and helped me fall asleep. Around 5 a.m., there were many more bird calls. In my city neighborhood, there are usually birds chirping around 5 a.m., but the greenery in the courtyard is limited, so there are usually only two or three kinds of birds. Here, I felt like there were eight or nine kinds of birds, many of which I had never heard before and didn't know what species they were. These birds would chirp for about half an hour, then go off to forage for food, and the surroundings would quiet down again, and I would fall asleep again. My friend got up and ate breakfast, but I didn't; I prefer to sleep. She said the breakfast was alright, quite simple, with eggs, vegetables, and sweet potato porridge. Overall, she was quite satisfied. By the way, the hotel's bathtub was very comfortable; you can get disposable bath bags from the front desk. Although the price is on the higher side for a guesthouse, I think it's worth it, partly because of the hotel's location and partly because the staff are quite hospitable. I'll try staying here again next time, and maybe try a different room type. As for the tatami mats, I felt the cushions were too low—just a simple cushion on the floor. It was uncomfortable to sit on for long periods. Japanese style is just that—small and cramped, only good for photos. Next time, I'll have to try a more standard room type.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a bit of history, but that doesn't detract from how wonderful it is! The service was excellent from parking, through check-in at the front desk, and even the general customer service – everyone was incredibly responsive and accommodating.
Breakfast was also great, and kids ate for free. Every day, they provided tea, fresh fruit, and desserts. In the evenings, desserts were even served in insulated cups. This attention to detail was truly exceptional and very thoughtful.
The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere!

This stay was a little stroke of luck on our trip; the experience far exceeded our expectations.
The hotel's location is superb, just two or three minutes from the highway toll booth, with malls and restaurants aplenty nearby. It's incredibly convenient whether you're heading out or looking for a bite to eat. The front desk staff were all smiles throughout, and the check-in process was smooth. They even helped us with a complimentary upgrade to a higher floor room – talk about attentive service!
The room itself was an even bigger surprise. Impeccably clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding that let us shed our fatigue the moment we lay down. Plus, the excellent soundproofing ensured a restful night's sleep until morning. The bathroom had ample hot water, and the toiletries were high-quality, showing great attention to detail.
The breakfast buffet on the second floor offered a rich variety of fresh options to satisfy different tastes. Paired with the cozy atmosphere of the lobby, it was the perfect start to an energetic day.
From the location to the service and facilities, everything was satisfying. The value for money is outstanding, and we'll definitely choose this place again on our next visit!

The service attitude was very good, and he answered all questions enthusiastically. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the room was spacious, comfortable and breathable. The room facilities need to be improved, such as refrigerators and cabinets, etc., and I look forward to better.
