The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was immediately captivated by its elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. The room was spacious and bright, featuring smart, convenient amenities, and I particularly loved the incredibly comfortable large bathtub. The rooms at this hotel are quite dated. On my first day, before 8 AM, I was woken up by loud drilling noises from upstairs, which severely disrupted my rest. That day, the hotel staff moved me to a room on a lower floor. However, the air conditioning in that room couldn't cool it down at all, from morning till night. And to top it off, there were mosquitoes in the room. This was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I will certainly not be staying here again.

The hotel was spacious and clean, and both the breakfast and dinner buffets were quite extensive. There are also many restaurants just across the road, offering affordable seafood options. The downsides are that it's quite a distance from the beach – the 'sea view' rooms only provide a very distant view, and the walk to the sand is incredibly long. However, one incident was truly appalling. After we checked out, a staff member called, effectively demanding a five-star review and implying that anything less would not be considered 'acceptable.' They even instructed me to include the specific line 'Yuhua is warm, attentive, and helpful with local recommendations' in my comments. The problem is, who is Yuhua? I never encountered anyone by that name throughout my entire stay.

The hotel is very new, and there's a food street right downstairs. On the way to the beach, you'll pass a lake that features a fountain show in the evening. It was our child's birthday during our stay, and the hotel arranged lovely birthday decorations and even provided a complimentary children's breakfast. Our child absolutely loved the spacious room with its large floor-to-ceiling windows. The swimming pool wasn't open, but you can swim at the beach during the day. For tide pooling, if you prefer not to visit Navy Park, Shell Square is a great alternative, or you can explore the estuary towards the mangrove forest. We found many sea anemones on the reefs – it was quite interesting to see them squirt water when touched!

Right from check-in, there were people smoking in the indoor lobby's public areas, and the hotel did absolutely nothing to address it. The air conditioning in our room was broken; it was 27°C inside when it was 30°C outside, and despite a maintenance technician attempting a repair, it remained unfixed. To make matters worse, the room itself was dirty – there was sand and even large insects, making us worry about potential infectious diseases! When I raised these concerns with the hotel, their response was unhelpful and dismissive. They even tried to brush me off with just a bottle of soda! Their attitude essentially implied, 'this is how we do things.' For anyone planning a trip to Qingdao, I strongly advise you to choose a different hotel!

What an absolutely fantastic hotel experience! The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding was soft and pristine, the room was completely odor-free, and even the air conditioning vents were spotless. The facilities were modern and well-maintained. The shower had excellent water pressure and a consistent temperature, and there was a great variety of TV channels. The staff were incredibly professional and polite; they spoke softly and always knocked before entering to clean, showing tremendous respect for guests. Absolutely wonderful!

The lobby is spacious and offers great photo opportunities. On a hot day, the neatly arranged water bottles by the elevators were a very welcome sight. However, service definitely needs improvement. The toilet in our room wasn't properly cleaned, the pool was closed, and there was no Chinese restaurant available. The only dining choice was the buffet, and the breakfast selection was limited, with dishes not being replenished quickly, and even fewer fruit options. Thankfully, there are plenty of dining options nearby. The price difference between peak and off-peak seasons is quite substantial.

The room was great, exactly as pictured. It's about an 8-minute walk to the beach, and the Happy Bay area offers plenty of dining options, making the location very convenient overall. The kids had a fantastic time at the nearby swimming beach. Service: As I had an early high-speed train to catch today, the front desk proactively offered to pack breakfast for me. The potato cakes were delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed them – I even shared some with the child next to me on the train!

The sea view was stunning, and the service was great. There was a bit of a wait during check-in, and the front desk mentioned they were fully booked. I initially thought it was just an excuse, but after seeing how crowded the restaurant was the next morning, I completely understood. There was a sweet and kind young lady with a round face at the front desk; I wish I had caught her name. I really wish buffet restaurants would implement a system to fine guests for food waste; it pains me to see food being squandered. Alternatively, offering a small gift to children who finish their plates could be a wonderful way to reward families for not wasting food and encourage good habits over time.

The hotel boasts a Chinese restaurant which was closed and locked, the convenience store was also closed, it also advertises everywhere about a Bar on the 23rd floor which doesn't exist, it also offers a swimming pool which is empty. Would rather stay elsewhere next time.

Great service, and a great location with a prime access to a beautiful beach. If you like the ocean breeze and se views .. this is your place. Plenty of food options at walking distance so no need to drive while you are here
