Qingdao Huayu Hotel

I am here to participate in the 2025 Qingdao West Coast Half Marathon. I chose this hotel because it is close to the subway station and convenient for dining and shopping. This place is more than 2 kilometers away from the starting point of the race (Golden Beach Beer City), which is a good time to jog or walk there as a warm-up. The hotel is very good overall, close to the subway station, easy to find, convenient for shopping and dining around, good hygiene, plenty of hot water for bathing, and large water volume. Another important reason why I chose this place as my competition hotel is that I can check out at 2pm, so I won’t be in a hurry after the morning competition, and I can go back to the hotel to take a shower. The service was very good, and they proactively asked if you needed a parking card if you were driving, etc. I asked for a pen once, a razor once, and a pair of scissors once, and the response was very quick. The only drawback: there is always a buzzing sound of machinery, although it is very low, the sound is not small. I don’t know where it comes from. It also exists during the day and never stops. It is more obvious at night. Overall it's good. It would be even better if the problem of machine roaring can be solved.

Advantages: 1. The hotel is in a great location, 2 kilometers away from Golden Beach, and the hotel is diagonally opposite Exit C of Xuejiadao Metro Station. It is very convenient to eat at Tianmushan Road Snack Street. 2. It is convenient to store luggage at the front desk, so you don’t have to worry about checking in and out. 3. The bed is very big and is completely sufficient for a family of three with a child. 4. The washing machine, hair dryer and other equipment are very complete. Disadvantages: The hotel does not serve breakfast in winter. (Dining nearby is very convenient) In summary, if you come to Huangdao for tourism or business, and just use the hotel for sleeping and resting at night, then choosing here is very convenient, whether you go to Golden Beach or Qingdao city, and it is a cost-effective choice for tourism and business trips.

The location is very good. I booked a deluxe room and was upgraded to a suite. The bed and quilt are very comfortable. I went to Beijing two days ago and the quilt was too trendy. It is so comfortable here. The breakfast is delicious and filling, and there are not so many tricks. Overall 5 points.

The location is easy to find, with bus and subway stations at the door. The room must have been renovated and the environment is quite good. The air conditioner just doesn't work. Qingdao has been very hot these days, and the air conditioner is not very powerful. It's hot, stuffy, and not even as cool as outside. The water in the bathroom is also average and will flow out.
