Qingdao Zhanqiao Zhongshan Road Atour Hotel

This hotel is in a perfect spot next to Zhongshan road. The rooms are clean and the service good. I stayed two nights and need to mention the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door with the DND light also on. After the first night, I conveniently put a bag of trash outside the door. Cleaning staff still came and I reminded them of the sign and light. Later on the second night, they came to clean my room despite the sign and light. It is important the cleaning staff respects the DND light and door sign at all times. Everything else was good.

The hotel is right in the middle of the tourist area, with plenty of eateries and shops just next door — super convenient for exploring and finding food. The hotel provides both breakfast and supper, which is a nice perk. The breakfast spread was quite good, but when I went down after 9am, they didn’t really replenish the food, so there weren’t many choices left. If you plan to sleep in, it’s better to go earlier. One thing to note — it can get a bit noisy in the evening, with singing or music from nearby shops until around 9–10pm. The bed was also on the harder side, which wasn’t quite to my liking. In terms of the room, the entrance and bathroom doors don’t have a soft-close feature, so they can slam a bit loudly. The toilet flushing sound is also quite loud — it could easily wake your partner at night. Overall, it’s a clean and convenient place to stay with decent food and great location, though a few noise issues might bother lighter sleepers.
