Qingdao Railway Station Zhanqiao Meilun Hotel

The hotel is in a great location. The subway is just downstairs and it's ten minutes away from the trestle. The train station is across the road. The laundry room is very clean, the room is very clean, the aunt is very nice, and the hotel service is also very good and considerate. I especially want to mention the lady at the front desk who is very nice and proactive in her service. The hotel has welcome fruit every day and parking is very convenient. I will stay here again next time.

Across from Qingdao Railway Station, on the left side of Exit D. If you're too lazy to walk, take the subway for one stop and you'll find Dabao Island. Head south to St. Michael's Cathedral and the pier. It's also very close to Silverfish Alley. During my three-night stay, I received fruit plates twice. The room's mini-freezer came with Laoshan Coke and Sprite, and small bottles of water were placed on the table opposite the elevator door on each floor for easy access. The room's TV projection was easy to use, and since it was new, the bath towels were thick and soft. The robot food delivery service was also quite fast. One thing that could be improved is Qingdao's strict honking policy; without double-glazed windows, there was a bit of noise (one night someone was honking horns on the street, but that was probably an isolated incident).

First of all, the average price is 966 per night, and I stayed for 4 consecutive nights. It is said to be a sea view room, but in fact, I can only see a little sea from the gap between the buildings in front. Secondly, the service attitude. When I went out at around 2 pm, I told the front desk to help me find an aunt to clean the room. When I returned to the room at 6 pm, the sand on the floor was still there. I don’t know if the aunt did not come to clean at all, or if she cleaned but did not clean it seriously. Let’s talk about the front desk supervisor. Because I didn’t change the sheets and quilt covers for a few days, I wanted the front desk to contact the aunt to change them. The supervisor was a boy, and he gave me a lot of reasons, saying that it is the peak season for tourism, and the aunt is short of manpower. Usually, the quilt covers and sheets are worn once every three days, and the sheets and quilt covers must be sent for washing with special laundry detergent (he said a lot, but I forgot it later). What I don’t understand is that I very politely asked the front desk to help contact the aunt to change the quilt covers and pillowcases that had not been changed for two nights, but I didn’t expect to stand downstairs and listen to the class? I have already paid more for the peak season, why did the hotel tell me that there are fewer aunts in the peak season? I didn't ask the aunt to change my bed sheets right away, I just wanted to trouble her to change the sheets for me. How could such a simple thing be so complicated in this hotel? As a result, after I got angry, the aunt came within five minutes.

When I booked the hotel, I was worried about the smell because it was newly opened. In the end, the smell was okay. However, the facilities were too poor. The faucet and the shower head were stained with water. The floor of the shower room was also black. It didn't look like a new hotel at all. The room was not big and not suitable for light sleepers. It was too noisy downstairs at night, with the sound of various air conditioners. I had booked several nights and decided to cancel and book another hotel. This hotel is really too cost-effective except that it is close to the train station and subway entrance.

The room had a peculiar smell and was replaced in time. The hotel counter was simple and the check-in was fast and convenient. It was not a sea view room. The breakfast was simple and average, which was very inconsistent with the price of more than 1,000 rooms. Fruits were delivered every day, and the mineral water at the elevator entrance was free. The biggest advantage may be that it is close to the subway. Exit D of Line 3 is just to the left of the hotel gate. The overall cost-effectiveness is not high, and it is about 15 minutes' walk from the pier. You can consider staying in a hotel near the May Fourth Square subway station, which may be more cost-effective and closer to the core attractions.
