Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Qingdao

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a minute's walk from the metro station, making all major attractions easily accessible by public transport or on foot. The hotel team was incredibly attentive and responsive throughout our stay. Whether it was for check-in, an unexpected room maintenance issue, or check-out, they handled everything with warmth, professionalism, and speed. During my stay, which coincided with the Qingdao Beer Festival, the hotel also offered complimentary fresh draft beer to guests in the lobby, which was a wonderful surprise.

The hotel is conveniently located in Central Chengyang City. Traffic access is good and not heavy. There are many good Korean, HK and Chinese restaurants around the hotel. Checking in is a wonderful experience with efficient and friendly staff. The daily buffet breakfast is excellent with a good spread of Chinese and Intercontinental spread. One commendable service is the nightly porridge and tea which is great for a light supper before resting. The ground floor is also a great place to meet with colleagues. Luckin coffee served round the clock is also another excellent service.

The location of the hotel is OK, the service attitude is very good, a cup of Laoshan Coke is given, and the room type is upgraded. The only problem is that the pillows in the room are not clean. Overall, it is very good. I recommend it.

From the moment we checked in, the service was outstanding, far surpassing many five-star hotels. They gave a welcome gift to our child and even upgraded us to a family suite for free. The front desk staff, especially a friendly lady named Lan Yangyang, was incredibly responsive to all our questions and continuously checked in to see if we needed anything else. Although the hotel rooms didn't have mini-fridges, they specially arranged one for us. The next day, when we needed help preparing some seafood, the manager was more than happy to assist, and the chef in the kitchen was also delightful and witty. Seeing so many long-term employees, I could tell this company truly values its staff, and the whole hotel had a wonderfully personal touch. Even though the facilities are a bit dated, this will definitely be our go-to choice next time we visit Qingdao. It's the first time I've ever left a hotel and still received a little gift from the front desk staff! Thumbs up! 👍

The room was good and quite spacious, and the service was decent. However, none of the Ctrip perks, such as late check-out or complimentary fruit, were actually provided. It really feels like Ctrip's service has gone downhill lately, as I've missed out on various promised benefits multiple times. The hotel is close to the airport, but it's quite a trek to the city center. This was a last-minute booking because I managed to get concert tickets spontaneously. The hotel offered a shuttle service to the stadium, but there was no return trip.

Overall, the place was clean and comfortable. Elaine's follow-up was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The room's bedding was very comfortable, and it was fully equipped with all necessary amenities. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Currently, this property offers excellent value for money, and there are many dining options at the nearby Wanda Plaza. There are two washing machines available, but they require laundry tokens that you need to obtain from the front desk. I didn't get a chance to use them, so I can't comment on their functionality. The curtain on the right side doesn't provide adequate blackout, allowing some light to seep through (please refer to photo three). I hope this issue can be resolved.

From check-in to check-out, I was treated warmly throughout the whole process. The front desk lady's smile was like a spring breeze, and she took the initiative to help with luggage, recommend nearby food, and even prepared the midnight snacks in the room thoughtfully.

While not directly on the beach, the hotel boasts excellent transportation links. Multiple bus routes stop right outside, and Qingdao's metro system is very developed. Beiling Station (Line 1), which can get you almost anywhere, is just about a 15-minute walk away. The hotel itself is quite new and features robot room service, which is both secure and efficient. My third-floor room even had a lovely, spacious terrace. Breakfast was decent. Just a short walk away is the Xuanhualu branch of Shuangheyuan restaurant. Their food is just as good as the ones near tourist attractions, so there's no need to queue there. Right in front of Shuangheyuan, you'll also find LaoSifang BBQ, which was quite tasty! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Qingdao!

It’s been a very pleasant stay- the hotel staff are very polite and efficient when checking you in- so the waiting time is very short and they also do not hassle you during your stay which is great. The hotel room is spacious and clean, from the linens to the smell.
