An absolutely genuine review! An absolutely genuine review! This is my first time writing such a detailed review, and it's truly well-deserved. 👍 I brought my mom on this trip. I looked at many five-star hotels near May Fourth Square but found their facilities were a bit dated. It seems May Fourth Square is in the older part of the city, and hotels there typically reflect that characteristic. So, I decisively chose Atour, which boasts a very modern decor style. We stayed in a Jimu Twin Room. We could see the light show from our room, the room was quiet, and I really liked the new and upscale design. Our stay included breakfast for two. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of fruits, cold and hot dishes, and beverages. In just one morning, my mom impressively managed to eat a plate of dumplings and two bowls of wontons! 😂 Everyone at the hotel was very service-oriented. It was a thoroughly satisfying stay! I just forgot to take photos of the room 😂

I recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, and while there were some great aspects, a few major issues affected my experience. Positives: • Comfortable Bedding: The mattress, pillows, and blankets were very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s rest. • Convenient Location: The hotel is within walking distance of the sea and the train station, making it easy to explore the area. • Helpful Staff: The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. • Breakfast Options: A good mix of Chinese and Western cuisine was available. Negatives: • Air Conditioning Issues: The air conditioning only provides heating, with no option for cold air. Even when set to a cooler temperature, the system remains in auto mode with a fixed degree, making the room uncomfortably warm. We had to rely on the stand fan provided to avoid sweating while sleeping. • Bathroom Odors: The ventilation system seems to circulate second-hand smoke, likely from other guests smoking in their bathrooms. At times, the air carried either cigarette smoke or urine odors, which were very unpleasant. Keeping the door closed helped slightly, but housekeeping would leave it open after cleaning, causing the room to smell bad upon returning. Overall, I would consider staying with this hotel brand again, but not at this particular branch due to the air conditioning and bathroom ventilation issues. The service from the front desk was good, but these factors significantly impacted my stay.

The young lady at the front desk provided excellent service. We travel with two young children and often need many extra items. She was incredibly patient and always helped us bring them up to our room. For laundry, if you prefer not to wait, you can just leave a note, and a staff member will wash and dry your clothes for you – a fantastic service! Breakfast was good, and they even offered congee in the evenings, which was a nice touch. We happened to be there during a concert, but unfortunately couldn't get last-minute tickets. The hotel was extremely crowded.

Location is very convenient indeed, with the metro almost at the door, a modern shopping mall and a supermarket across the road. Front office and hotel staffs are polite and responsive. Downside: aircon temperature cannot be set although there is a control panel in the room. Room is too cold and felt “damp”. The lighting in the bathroom is too dark. Difficult for makeup. Bath towel has holes. Coffee at breakfast is very bitter, the worst grade I have had in my four hotels stay in Shandong.

The staff were fantastic at this hotel, they are some of the loveliest people I have met! So welcoming and happy, amazing service, breakfast was also very good. The issue I felt was the room size was not worth the price rate. I stay in many hotels in this area and for this room rate I can get much larger rooms at different hotels. For a short one night stay I would recommend but for longer stays I would say the room size is not quite adequate. Great staff and vibe though.

When I checked in, the room I'd originally booked hadn't been cleaned yet. Since I was traveling with my children and my elderly parents and needed to rest quickly, I had to upgrade for an extra 100 RMB, which was a bit frustrating. I also redeemed my Ctrip points for a fruit treat when I booked the room, but after going out for dinner, I realized the hotel hadn't delivered it, so I had to mention it to the front desk. The wooden king-size bed room we stayed in was quite spacious and the ambiance was decent. Although it faced a residential building, I didn't hear any noise during my sleep, and I slept quite comfortably. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, and they would wash and dry clothes and deliver them to my room. The breakfast was average, not very extensive. They also gave me a small gift upon check-out, which was a nice touch.

I went out with my friends and booked a newly opened Yaduo restaurant on it. Facilities: The facilities are very complete, and there is wireless charging on the table in the room🔋 Hygiene: The room is very clean, the four-piece suit is all cotton and linen, and it is very comfortable to sleep Environment: Located in the old town, very close to the CBD business district, the hotel environment is also very good Service: When I booked, I noted that I wanted a low pillow, and a room far from the elevator was arranged, which was great👍 The only downside is that it was too cold when we had breakfast. The back door was open and the breakfast we had was cold. We went to have breakfast before 08:00 and it got colder and colder.

It was a very pleasant experience staying in this hotel. My room was spotless clean n I would like to give credit to the cleaning guy who did it efficiently everyday right after we left the room! Service was great too!Breakfast variety could’ve better if it could consider guests staying in for more than 3 days. One more thing I wanna mention was the incident happened in the last day. We had took/given the wrong luggage while we left the hotel. The worst part of all was the moment we realised was the time we arrived the airport. We called the hotel n finally the luggage was sent to Hk while the mistaken luggage was taken by hotel lately. We need to pay ¥350 to the hotel to settle this unexpected incident. Anyhow my sister received her luggage coupled with a free pillow offered by the hotel safe n sound finally. Thank you very much
