Not a 5 star hotel, no welcome drink on arrival. Rooms not made every day. Good selection of food/drink. Entertainment is repeated weekly. Staff are fantastic, Mercedes the waitress in particular is one of the best. She 100% deserves a pay rise! Close to the beach, 15 mins from airport. All suites side is good, but if you travel over to the ‘kids’ side it is horrendous, the theatre where they put on shows, half the screen doesn’t work, mold around the rooms. Stay in the all suites part. NOT THE KIDS PART. 8/10

I completely understand that people have different perspectives and expectations. I consider myself a reasonable, grounded, and honest person, so this review is written as sincerely and fairly as possible. No resort is perfect, but there are basic standards of cleanliness and customer service—and unfortunately, this resort did not meet them. Arrival Experience Upon landing, my wife and I left our luggage in the lobby while our room was being prepared. We went to eat, and immediately I noticed a roach on the floor. I tried to give the resort the benefit of the doubt—I'm from NYC, and while roaches are disgusting anywhere, I know they can appear in many places. Still, it was not a good first impression. Cleanliness Concerns The flooring in the dining area was extremely oily and slippery. The floors in our room also felt unclean—almost damp or greasy—and I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot, even inside the room. Dining Experience Breakfast the next morning was honestly terrible. The food quality was extremely poor, and the staff preparing and serving the food appeared disengaged and unhappy. I’m from this country and always make it a point to be polite, grateful, and tip well, yet the staff seemed indifferent to any greeting or acknowledgment. It wasn’t one person—it was multiple interactions in a row, which made it clear this was not an isolated moment. Attempt to Check Out Early At this point, my wife and I decided it would be best to cancel the rest of our stay and move to another resort. When we went to the lobby to check out early, the staff processed it without asking why we were leaving or offering to help resolve any issues. In fact, one employee openly told us that many guests leave early due to cleanliness problems and nonfunctional restrooms. The receptionist then informed us that refunds weren’t their decision because we booked through a third party. We called the third-party company while still standing in the lobby; they attempted to contact the resort, but no one answered. We left, fully expecting a refund, because the resort did not provide what was advertised and failed to honor basic hospitality standards. Refund Issue Once we returned to New York, the third party informed us that the resort refused the refund, claiming they had offered us accommodations—something that absolutely did not happen. I want to be very clear about that: they offered nothing. This is the first review I have ever written, and I’m only writing it because we essentially lost about $1,000 for services we did not receive. It’s simply not right. Final Recommendation Save your money and book elsewhere. I genuinely do not understand how this resort has a 4.5 rating. I would strongly recommend choosing another place—you’ll thank yourself later.

We arrived at the hotel and booked two rooms one for me and a friend one for my Dad, the friend that was meant to come could not come. On the booking there was some sort of a mistake and it showed me and my Dad in one room and the other person in the other. Therefore when we checked in they put Dad and me in the one room with a double bed. I explained he is my Dad not my Husband therefore I cannot share a room with him and cannot sleep in the same bed as him and that I need my own room. The reception staff told that they cannot give me another room because it is hotel policy that the person who name it is under needs to be there for them to change it. I explained she could not come due to a health condition and that we have paid for two rooms so all they need to do is put me in the second room. They refused to do that saying they could not do it until I insisted they had to, we had paid for two rooms and that is what she should get. Eventually after me arguing with them and complaining and insisting I had to have my own room they eventually give me that. I said that I wanted a room next to my Dads and they explained they did not have any so we had to settle for someone in a room next to us. The whole thing was quite stressful which is not what you need when you are tired having had a long flight. I was booked on the garden side but it is not a garden it is just trees that border the hotel so the description is not accurate. Also on that side there is a rooster which was extremely loud and would start crowing early in the morning and wake you up. I complained to the reception staff and said I wanted to be moved to a room on the other side which is the pool side. They explained that they they had rooms available but it the pool side was an upgrade and there would be an extra charge. My Dad had already paid over 7K for the holiday and given the money he had paid he should not have to pay any more just to get a room that is quiet and we should not have to put up with the sound of a rooster which drove me nuts. They did not want to help or do anything or make our stay more comfortable. We decided we did not want to pay the extra charge because my Dad had already paid too much for the holiday. We spoke with another guest who complained about the rooster and they upgraded him to a poolside room free of charge even though they refused to do that for us. We went to sit at the pool that was quiet so I could have a nap because I was tired at being woken up so early from the rooster and we were told we could not sit there that area was reserved for elite customers only and we had to pay extra to sit there as we did not want to pay extra we had to move. There is also noise all the time from people in other rooms, we got disturbed by the person next to us continually dragging furniture along the floor and banging things, also noise from the lobby area at night. I took my wife here for her birthday tipped the staff to do some extra in our room and nothing was done. The staff at the steak house did something and made up for the lack in the other department. Our shower flooded before and after the attempted repair. The cockroachs in the buffet was very disturbing, reported it to staff and they would just brushed it off and had zero concern in regards to this. Most of the staff were fairly attentive to most of your basic requests. The condition of the building was disappointing. I was told that it was not even 2 years old but it had the appearance of a 5 to 7 year old building and the multiple issues of a 10 year old facility, it is definitely not a 4.5 star. I have stayed at multiple resorts in the Dominican and expected a totally different level of resort for what the category rating was. Will not use a Serenade branded product on future trips, I was extremely disappointed for the most we paid for this trip.

Came for our anniversary and this place was trash. Expidia hypes it up but the truth is this place is a 70+ resort. No entertainment no music staff is super rude. We had a master suite and it smelled like mold. We complained about the TV not working numerous times. We had no Iron and all week asked for one with no help. We were bored out of our minds. The food is horrible. Moldy and leaky walls.

Where do I begin?! What a great weekend. I spent this past weekend at serenade all suites adults only. So chill a great experience. The property is beautiful as well as the atmosphere. It feels like a butterfly sanctuary so many butterflies flying around. Truly gorgeous we even spotted hummingbirds. The food was amazing the buffet in the morning and afternoon were delicious. As well as the steak house and habachi resturant. Jose was the super star at the steak house and Minerva at koi. Great service truly excellent. The final pool is where you want to be if you’re up for fun vibes. Melvin and Omar always great you with a smile and the most amazing service. They really are the stars of that bar. They deserve great praise for keeping the vibes light and fun. So grateful for the service and hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Would I go back? Absolutely — without hesitation. Why? I’ll keep it short: this resort exceeded my expectations in every way. The property itself is beautiful, with three inviting pools, great staff service, and an impressive variety of restaurants offering plentiful, high-quality food. This is not the Dominican Republic of ten years ago. The country has truly elevated its resort experience — everything here feels high-end, refined, and well-managed. Most of our days were spent relaxing in the pool, enjoying cocktails — and honestly, the cocktails were the best I’ve had at any Dominican resort so far. The atmosphere throughout the resort was lively and welcoming, and the staff constantly went above and beyond to make guests feel included and cared for. I have to repeat it: the staff at this resort are among the kindest and most genuine people I’ve met anywhere. Their warmth and energy made the stay unforgettable. If I had to mention one small negative, it would be the lack of decor in the hallway leading to the rooms — but aside from that minor detail, everything else was absolutely spectacular. A great choice for relaxation. I went here on a birthday trip with my best friend, but we are definitely the type to lay in the beach and relax. There aren’t many activities or amenities to enjoy but surely everything is aesthetic and beautiful for photos. If you’re looking to party hard, this place isn’t for you. Though if you like a little bit of both, you can always hop over to the family side and enjoy the club. There was an excellent selection of food at the buffets and à la carte was enjoyable. Koi was our absolute favourite. Service is hit or miss, as some employees are so kind, while most just look miserable. I think this is typical Punta Cana service. Despite having housekeeping come in daily on my request, the place was just never really clean. Towels wouldn’t be fully replenished, robes would either be stained or smelly, or just not replaced at all. When i checked in, there was piercing jewelry in the shower floor from a previous guest and sadly it never got cleaned out of the shower- just tossed around. Snacks and drinks in the room are generously replenished daily. Our lobby bartenders were our favourites, specifically the Marcos Martinez. Just a genuine man who engages in conversation, is happy to be there and wants to make you a good cocktail. I am not entirely sure if i would return given the price I paid for the unenthusiastic service, but still had a decent time
