Wellesley Hotel

I discovered this little gem of a hotel only because all other hotels in the 4/5 star quality category were full. By chance this hotel (which is not star rated as yet - not sure why??) popped up with a very high user reviews. A boutique hotel in its first 2 months of soft launch, I was really very pleasantly surprised, as it matched up to boutique quality hotel standards internationally that I expect. - spotless toilet - Top quality & pristine bedding - Excellent water quality in taps (unlike most hotels in India) - A powerful shower - Silent well functioning AC - Lovely breakfast - Excellent quality of coffee - Excellent customer service - Minimalistic but stylish decor - Good choice of surface materials on flooring, walls, furniture for easy high maintainability Overall it hit all the most important buttons without being opulent or over the top. I do hope they will be able to maintain the standards consistently in future. I certainly intend to use this hotel again. Areas for improvement 1. If the cafe could offer simple food options at lunch & dinner 2. Single beds could be 6 inches wider I don’t normally write reviews unless a hotel really pleased me.

Our one night stay at The Wellesley in Pune was a reminder of how much design can shape the way you feel in a space. The hotel is beautifully put together. The art, furniture, lighting and textures all flow so seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that’s calm and full of personality. Every little detail was meticulously thought out, from the layout and design of the rooms to the corridors and corners filled with beautiful artwork by various artists. It is by no means flashy or overdone. The aesthetic is deeply thoughtful and refined; designed with a lot of care and intent. For people who notice and enjoy details in the little things and don’t just care about comfort, but also about the feeling a space leaves you with, will absolutely love this hotel.
