I’ve been one of the first clients of this place and it was bad since the beginning because it’s a cold corporate box inside…but at least the staff was ok…now the manager at the entrance is a robot with attitude that’s treats you pretty nasty, and they added the “resort fees” to scam a little more the clients…if you come to the jungle get into the jungle resorts not in this plastic box.

We had the amazing opportunity to travel to costa rica and stay at this beautiful resort. The staff went above and beyond to take care of my family. The food was excellent and service was perfect. My boys (3 1/3 and 5) just loved all the wildlife. The pool was so much fun and clean. The room were exceptional and always always someone was asking us if there was anything we needed. This was a such a perfect place for our family. We get to travel the world 5-6 times a year but this place is our favorite. We look forward to our next visit next year.

This is a super beautiful place. If you're going to Corcovado park this is definitely the place to stay to catch your early AM boat. The good: The staff is SO nice. Every person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and smiling. They will pack a breakfast for you and provide early AM coffee before the restaurant is opening if you have to be on the 5:30 AM boat to the park. There are trails on the grounds that looked amazing...but we didn't have time to do that. The lobby and seating area is just beautiful. The pillows on the bed were plentiful and they offered different thicknesses and density. Really nice! Also, huge parking lot with free parking. If you're going to the park for a few days you can leave your car here and leave your bags with the front desk. Super convenient. Now the MEH: The room aesthetic was Meh. There was a single hat on the wall, for the decor. I think there were a couple items on the shelf. It was bland. No style whatsoever.. Compared to the outside, the room was a disappointment. There was a rainhead in the shower....nice idea but the pressure wasn't really enough to make this rainhead enjoyable. And you had to stand in the shower to turn on the controls, so you have to get doused with cold water before it heats to your desired temp. We stayed there 2 nights -- one night before the park, one night after. The first room, the shower floor flooded during the shower. There is a little counter with a coffee pot and microwave. Nice. But it is impossible to find the light switch to shut it off, despite the fact that a sign was there (in the wrong place.) We had to call the front desk to figure it out, and we both have engineering degrees. LOL. Now the not so good: This is where the points come off my rating and I hope that Hilton is reading this. First, not sure if anyone told the head office at Hilton, but this hotel is in the tropics. It's hot, and it's humid. Yes, there's an AC unit that works well, but at the end of the day it's hot. So the fact that the only cover on the bed was a comforter sewed into 2 flat sheets was just dumb. Where was the sheet? I was too cold with no cover and too hot with the whole comforter ensemble thing. All night long, I was covers on, covers off. Ruined my sleep. The light in the room would only stay on for about 10 minutes. We thought maybe there was a slot to insert your room key, but no. We had to play with the switch, jiggling it around a bit to get the light to stay on. Also, the rainhead shower head I described in last paragraph kind of exploded -- I had turned on the hand sprayer, then used the diverter to switch to the rainhead, first the whole thing shook and made a loud groaning and thumping sound, and then the whole top of the shower head flew off. Grateful it didn't hit me, as I was still waiting for water to warm up. The kicker? The fire alarm went off 3-4 times beginning at 3AM. When you have to get up at 4:00 to catch your boat, that is NOT welcome. The weird thing is, we got out

Family of 4 visiting Puerto Jimenez to fish for 2 days at Crocodile Bay. This is a very modern Hilton, located close to the bay and dock for Crocodile Bay. We chose it for close location to CB and because it has Air Conditioning, which we needed. The rooms, grounds, etc are kept meticulously clean. The pool is very pleasant. There is a fitness center. The restaurant was excellent -- they cooked the fish we caught to perfection. The fishing at crocodile bay was AMZING!! We did not do any of the nature tours. Only suggestion is they should provide reusable water bottles and discourage disposable water bottle use as the water is filtered and the nearby ocean and bay are marine sanctuaries. Of note, It is a gated compound. If you are looking for a luxury hotel similar to one in the U.S., this will fit. If you are looking for a more local experience this is not the right location.

Highly recommend this diamond in the rough, you are basically part of the rainforest. We have visited Peninsula Papagayo multiple times in CR, this was the first visiting the Osa Peninsula & Botanika Hotel...and so glad we did. The resort is well maintained, rooms are great. We had a two bedroom suite which makes it perfect for families. The room had multiple thermostats so you can have different temperatures by room. One of the bathrooms is accessible from the living room/kitchen and bedroom...so you do not have to walk through a bedroom just to get to the bathroom. They give the option of choosing from a handful of different kinds of pillows upon request. The staff is friendly. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is fabulous. The food at the restaurants is nice. you will not walk away from breakfast hungry. Highly recommend going to Hard Croc Fisherman's Bar & Restaurant in the Crocodile Bay lodge - you won't regret it. So many lovely plants, flowers, and animals. The gym is MASSIVE. There are multiple trails to walk. Highly recommend going on the Wildlife Lagoon Trail before 7:00a to see the crocodiles. The pool area layout is nice. They provide 30 & 50 SPF sunscreen. The only negatives for the resort the chairs at the pool are NOT comfortable and there isn't any music/speakers on the side of the pool that has the cabanas. You are minutes away from the PJ airport. Some reviewers have mentioned they are annoyed by the sound of the planes leaving during the day - but it is basically like hearing someone with a lawn mower for a minute or two. Best part is when you check out they drive you right to the airport and you can walk onto the plane as you are already checked in at the hotel. The hotel will drive you into town if you would like to visit a grocery store or restaurant.
