Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

This was our first visit to the sunrise pearl after it was recommended to us by friends. We travelled as a family of four, myself husband and two daughters 12 and 16. On booking we were given an inland view junior suit room, I was a little worried about what the view might be like but it was absolutely fine, we could even see the sea a little bit. The room was spacious, had the most comfortable beds ever! and had a sliding screen which gave our girls the privacy they needed. What can I say about the rest of this hotel, honestly I think this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed, the highlights of it are…. Glass of bubbly on arrival, the nicest staff especially the amazing KiKi who served us every evening in the waterfall bar, she made our holiday so special, the allocated sunbeds (this is a game changer!) icy cold flannels and fresh fruit handed out daily while you relax on your sunbed, fantastic location right on the ***** and the beach, delicious food and the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. This hotel is going to be hard to beat, we very rarely stay at the same place twice but we are already considering staying here again next year as we just fell in love with it! From the moment we arrived at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa in Protaras, Cyprus, we were blown away by the exceptional service and warm hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable—always friendly, attentive, and professional, especially Rangel (Head Waiter), Mia (Waitress), Vera and Glykera (Reception) and not forgetting Vasili (Head Chef). The hotel itself is stunning, with immaculate rooms, breathtaking sea views, and top-tier amenities and was exceptionally clean throughout. The food was consistently delicious. Truly a five-star getaway in every sense! Can't wait to return.

Although this is a lovely hotel. I need to say the extra £800 for a swim up room that gets absolutely no sunshine is an absolute disgrace. Due to the lack of sunshine the pool was totally out of bounds. Tried going in on the first day and honestly the North sea was warmer. If you want a swim up room then this is not the hotel for you. I feel conned and will never return due to this

Amazing hotel being one stop shop, experiencing everything Protaras has to offer. It combines perfect location at the centre of Protaras, walking distance to an amazing beach, excellent amenities and very friendly staff creating an unforgettable experience.

The hotel overall is nice, but there are 6 areas that really need improvement. • Food & Drinks: Breakfast is very good, but the Italian restaurant was disappointing. Most of the meats are mixed with beef and pork, which isn’t suitable for guests who can only eat one or neither. The dinner buffet also needs improvement. It would be great if crepes were offered in the evenings, and ice cream should always be kept in stock. I really enjoyed the pianist, and it would be helpful if there were clear signs showing what nationality night it is. • Pools, Sunbeds & Umbrellas: The adult pool should be one of the smaller ones, since there are more children than adults using the pools. Music around the pool would also create a nicer atmosphere. The sunbed policy needs to change – on paper it sounds fair, but in practice it doesn’t work. All the best spots are booked quickly, and often the people who reserved them don’t even use them, leaving prime sunbeds empty but unavailable. On top of that, the umbrellas are fixed in place. With six people, we only had two umbrellas, and since they were nailed down we couldn’t move them to share the shade properly. Umbrellas should be movable so families can adjust them as needed. • Kids Club: This was the most concerning part of the stay. Staff let my children run off, even though I had clearly written on the form that they were not allowed to leave. Also, children weren’t allowed to use the outdoor space at the kids club because staff said there was no adult outside. A better system would be to have one staff member supervising indoors and another outdoors so kids can enjoy both spaces safely. Overall, Sunrise Pearl is a nice hotel with some good features,better food choices, improved sunbed and umbrella arrangements, more entertainment at the pools, and a safer, more flexible kids club, it could be so much better.

Our 13th time at Sunrise Pearl-again fantastic holidays. Great location, very central, peaceful + relaxing atmosphere, spotlessly clean, allocated sun beds, dine around option (super), excellent food in all restaurants….But the best point is the staff!! Reception team, room cleaning, chiefs in the kitchen, restaurant and pool bar service, pool + sun beds guys-they are doing all a fantastic job! Thanks very much! We will return in September!
