The welcome was not at all warm. We received two rooms that did not match the photos on the website at all. One had two windows that looked directly onto a roof. The other room had two windows near the ceiling. So, no view from either room. The second room felt like a "prison."
The room was clean, but the common areas (reception, corridors, lounge) left a lot to be desired and looked old and dirty.
This hotel is like a tourist factory. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to someone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay. But it is functional.

The hotel is in a very British town, the decoration is very old-fashioned and the style is good. I saw many local elderly people at breakfast. I also bought jewelry in that hotel, which is very design-conscious.

A lovely hotel in a quiet setting. Bar service was a bit slow but available most times during the day. Food service was ok. Breakfast was good… wide variety… although fruit could have been fresher, ( apple was brown). Dinner at night was ok. Entertainer was good, enjoyed his music and cheerfulness. Difficult to get a taxi on the day we left and was pouring with rain. Staff were really helpful and took us to the train for which we were really grateful! I suggest booking a cab the day before.
Our room was comfortable and a good size. However the bathroom window curtains need attention. A shower curtain pinned up with press studs wasn’t appropriate for security and privacy!
We would stay again.

It’s such a shame it’s so dated needs a good clean & upgrade. Had the inclusive dinner bed and breakfast, dinner was really bad all pre-made / precooked. Breakfast was good and self service, pictures do not resemble what you get Not the best value for money

We paid for a superior double and what a disappointment, the room was over the top of the kitchen, which was noisy but that didn't bother as we live over the road from a church . The bathroom could do with painting as it looked like the shelf above the sink had come off and was repaired and the carpet in the room could do with a clean The o ly good thing was the food was excellent along. With the waitress service The entrance where the dogs go through could do with a hoover and clean
