Booked 4 King's rooms for couple friends this hotel. Location of hotel is near Chen Huang Miao. Hotel has ancient look yet modern technology in each room, the Xiaodu assistant. Enjoyed Pingyao as a side deviation from our main itinerary.

This hotel was really great and perfect for us. We loved its location, the breakfast and the comfortable and spacious room. It's walking distance from everything to see in Pingyao and they have free transfer to the airport which was a plus as we arrived in the city at night. We want to especially thank Wendy and Linn at the hotel as they were really nice to us and exceeded our expectations. We will recommend this hotel to anyone going to Pingyao.

Excellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao

Trip did NOT indicate that hotel provides free shuttle to and from airport and train station. We went through some problems to get through to the hotel and request shuttle from east gate as the taxi is not allowed to enter the old city. The shuttle together with the receptionist promptly showed up and fetch us right on the dot at the gate. Wendy was exceptionally helpful; lugged our suitcase and showed us our room. On check out, arranged from shuttle to send us to the train station, waved goodbye and saw us off.

good location, nice rooms, very friendly personnel, always ready to help. unfortunately not a good breakfast, dry cookies - the only kind of Western food option. dusty rooms. very superficial cleaning.

The hotel is located in the ancient city, which is very convenient for traveling. Tremella soup was prepared on the first night, and hot oil cubes were added to the room on the second day due to the temperature drop. There was a station drop-off service when leaving the hotel, which was very thoughtful. Because it was the off-season, the breakfast was small and most of the hot dishes were cold, which was a little disappointing.

The hotel is in a good location, walking distance from the east gate of the city. It is a large hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Most importantly, the staff at the reception were very helpful. They gave us travel information, arranged a car to take us to the train station, and contacted a clothes rental shop for us. Even though there were many guests during our stay, the hotel still opened a buffet breakfast for our group. The only bad thing was that when I first entered the room, I saw a pile of hair in the toilet bowl. The housekeeper probably took it out of the bathroom grate and put it in the toilet bowl but didn't flush it. Also, when I was about to take a shower, there was no shower gel in the bottle. They should have checked before the guests checked in. I called the reception, but no one answered, so I called the housekeeping department.

The location is excellent, right next to the City God Temple, opposite the Confucian Temple, a two-minute walk. The hotel is relatively old. How can I describe the service attitude? If I say it is not good, they sent a car to pick us up from the parking lot outside the city. It is good, but it lacks some friendliness and smiles.

These are the best hotels in the ancient city. Overall, they are okay and not far from the main street. It only takes a short walk to get there. However, the food in Shanxi is really not very good, just as Chu Yunfei said.

A tourist hotel with mature and stable services, just like the first time I stayed there in 2013. It was comfortable to live in, eat, play and spend!

The hotel is opposite the Confucian Temple, which is convenient for travel. The hotel has an antique design and a good environment. It is a good choice for the ancient city. We upgraded the business king room for free, and provided plastic slippers and clothes drying racks. The attitude was good and the service was thoughtful.

The hotel is located in Pingyao Ancient City, very close to the Confucian Temple and the City God Temple. The reception was warm and thoughtful, the room was clean and tidy, the hotel provided airport pick-up and drop-off services, free travel clothing, and a good experience.

Facilities: The room is Xiaodu smart, and you can open and close the curtains, lights, and check the weather through Xiaodu. The air conditioning and shower are great, and it's very comfortable to live here. What's particularly humane is that the pillows are hard and soft, suitable for different people to choose. The breakfast is also very good, and the freshly ground coffee is very fragrant. Hygiene: Very clean! There is also a book introducing Pingyao in the room Environment: It is on the main road of the ancient city, opposite the Confucian Temple. We have students coming, and the room can just see the Confucian Temple, which is very happy. Service: Give Xiaohui 🌟, who served us, a five-star praise! The service is really thoughtful and meticulous, and it feels like home. Recommend cake shops for us, assist in room renewal, arrange car pick-up, etc., all done in every aspect! Specially recommend the hotel's resident tour guide: Wang Lingyan, who accompanied us for a day, explained the various highlights of the ancient city, and recommended restaurants that were delicious. She is the best tour guide we have met in Shanxi. In short, I am very satisfied and highly recommended! Come again next time~
