Booked 4 King's rooms for couple friends this hotel. Location of hotel is near Chen Huang Miao. Hotel has ancient look yet modern technology in each room, the Xiaodu assistant. Enjoyed Pingyao as a side deviation from our main itinerary.

This hotel was really great and perfect for us. We loved its location, the breakfast and the comfortable and spacious room. It's walking distance from everything to see in Pingyao and they have free transfer to the airport which was a plus as we arrived in the city at night. We want to especially thank Wendy and Linn at the hotel as they were really nice to us and exceeded our expectations. We will recommend this hotel to anyone going to Pingyao.

Excellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao

Trip did NOT indicate that hotel provides free shuttle to and from airport and train station. We went through some problems to get through to the hotel and request shuttle from east gate as the taxi is not allowed to enter the old city. The shuttle together with the receptionist promptly showed up and fetch us right on the dot at the gate. Wendy was exceptionally helpful; lugged our suitcase and showed us our room. On check out, arranged from shuttle to send us to the train station, waved goodbye and saw us off.

good location, nice rooms, very friendly personnel, always ready to help. unfortunately not a good breakfast, dry cookies - the only kind of Western food option. dusty rooms. very superficial cleaning.

The location is excellent and it is very convenient to visit various attractions in the ancient city. The service is warm. The internal facilities and equipment are a bit old. It is not very convenient to park by car. I consulted the hotel in advance and it was recommended to choose the nearby First Knitting Factory parking lot. The hotel is in a good location, walking distance from the east gate of the city. It is a large hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Most importantly, the staff at the reception were very helpful. They gave us travel information, arranged a car to take us to the train station, and contacted a clothes rental shop for us. Even though there were many guests during our stay, the hotel still opened a buffet breakfast for our group. This stay at Pingyao Qilin Pavilion Hotel was great! From the warm reception at the front desk to the timely response of the room service, every staff member made people feel at home. The room was spacious, bright, clean and tidy, the mattress was moderately soft and hard, intelligent control, and the location was excellent.
