I stayed here while attending the Stitching in the Smokies retreat which was held at the Lodge. Check in was easy with information given about elevator, locations of the stitching room, bar/breakfast, and coffee at that time. The room was clean and comfortable, and I was pleased to see a step-in shower versus tub. Every employee offered a smile and spoke in passing. The conference room where the retreat was held was nice and well lit. The two lunch buffets that were included were very good, especially the macaroni and cheese and the pulled pork.

Despite not getting the week we wanted to travel w the certificate, we had a wonderful vacation. Black Fox Lodge was very accommodating considering what our expectations were when we received the certificate. The resort was beautiful. We also expected free breakfast every am but there was a charge. Was expecting a condo but were happy w the two bedroom instead of hotel room w two queens and sofa sleeper. I would definitely stay there again knowing all the terms in advance. Beds were a little hard and would prefer walk in shower. Tubs are outdated. Large master bathroom which was wonderful.

PROS: Clean, friendly staff, quiet, and location (in Pigeon Forge). CONS: Overpriced, not a lodge, no real views of mountains (Pigeon Forge is a relatively flat area). OVERALL: This is a slightly upgraded Hampton Inn except that you have to pay for buffet breakfast. However, given Pigeon Forge, it's probably one of the nicer places in town.

We stayed at the Black Fox for a family "destination wedding." The wedding itself was not held at the hotel, but it was the hotel that the wedding party set up for guests. The Black Fox is a comfortable place, nicely decorated and well maintained. Our ground floor room had a patio that looked out on the little river that runs through the town. The hotel has a restaurant and bar that look nice, although we did not dine or drink there. The fitness room is decent. It's a pleasant place to stay. The main drawback for us, which we admit is related to our travel preferences, is that Pigeon Forge is essentially a car-dependent schlocky theme park. It's full of chain restaurants and entertainment venues similar to what one might find at a state fair. I'm sure it appeals to many people, but not us. The Black Fox is not located in a particularly walkable neighborhood. There is an entrance to a nice walking path a few blocks away, but it takes a while to get to anything like an authentic neighborhood and park along the path. The drawbacks of Pigeon Forge are not the fault of the hotel. If you focus only on what's inside the hotel, it's a very nice place to stay.

Good location; okay stay
We had a pleasant day. Had a nice room with a balcony that looked out onto the creek. The view beyond the water was the side of another hotel and roadways. The food was OK. The cocktails were a bit of a miss, but the service was great. They offer pumped products in the bathroom, but the pumps either didn’t work or there was no product in the pumps so bring your own toiletries Into the shower

This place was absolutely disgusting. The room was full of ants/spiders on the bed and bathroom. it was also musty inside the room. I talked to the front desk and they said sorry we can’t do anything for you. Because you booked through a third-party. *******. I contacted *******, which contacted them and they refuse to do refund,I have the videos to prove it which I showed to them. and they noted it and apologized. What is an apology gonna do. the least they can do is refund its almost $200 dollars. For a room that we can’t even sleep in.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. save your money and go somewhere else.

The hotel is centrally located. Check in was super easy and the staff were friendly. The property is beautiful and nicely appointed. We had two rooms during our stay, both had balcony's. The rooms were identical. The beds were super comfortable. So the downside. We were given room 602. When we walked in the room looked great but it had a smell of something. Not sure if it was mildew or what but my kids picked up on it immediately.. My youngest has pretty significant allergies and was pretty congested when we checked out today. The frustrating part was that someone named Jesse text me on day 2 of 4 and asked how our stay was.. I told her about the smell and she said someone would be in touch but no one ever reached out. When we checked into the next room we definitely noticed there was no smell like in our room. Not sure if I would stay here again. If I do I will check the room before we agree to stay in the room.
