My family of three stayed here for eight days for a sports tournament. We arrived early in the day, Crystal was not able to get us into a room right away but was able to check our bags so we could go get something to eat. The location is convenient, particularly if you didn't book a vehicle. There's light rail just a couple minutes walk away that runs frequently, and lots of options for Ubers, etc. Side note, when I looked up information about the rail system before we left it said it was a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Turns out that was incorrect. You can easily walk to the train stop in under five minutes, buy a ticket from a machine there with a credit card (there's bank machines nearby too if that floats your boat). For Uber drivers it can be a little difficult to find as the entrance is around the back. You'll also see a lot of autonomous vehicles here, self driving cars that you can book through the Uber app. We took one once for the novelty. It was fine, but weird. There's a few restaurants quite close, as well as a drugstore under five minutes walk (Walgreens, sells food and some alcohol). Grocery store is a bit further, walkable but of course this is Arizona. It's hot. If you're not up to a very warm, sunny walk you can DoorDash groceries easily enough. Our room faced the parking lot, mostly fine except on weekend nights. There's a sports bar nearby, on Saturday night I assume the bar closed at 2 a.m. as there were noisy people lingering in the parking lot. This happens on a smaller scale in the early morning too, you can hear people talking in the outdoor seating area by the hotel entrance from our 2nd floor room. On the other side you'd probably hear the train early in the morning though. Pick your battle; I think the parking lot side is probably the quieter choice most of the time. The air conditioning in the room is very loud though, maybe that can drown out other sounds? The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Has a shower (no tub), full sized fridge, dishwasher, dishes, sink, microwave, toaster. There's no stove or pans but you can borrow a few different appliances from the front desk. We regularly used an electric frying pan supplied by the front desk to make meals, I was able to do frozen burgers, boxed mac and cheese, and cook some eggs for my rather picky athlete who doesn't eat most hotel eggs. Breakfast is good, there's hot and cold options, you can probably find something you'll like to eat. Like many hotels, the eggs come from a frozen carton rather than a chicken. I'm not a fan, but everything else was fine. Coffee and hot water for tea are always available, but milk is only there during breakfast hours (shelf stable coffee whitener things are there though). If you like dairy in your afternoon coffee, buy yourself a carton of your cow juice and keep it in your fridge. The rooftop pool is a nice idea in theory, but when it's 30+ degrees Celsius even at 6 a.m., it wasn't really targeted to my Can

I am in a new Home 2 Suites in Phoenix. I am a Lifetime Diamond member. Upon check in I found my assigned room had broken blinds. I was moved to another room where the bed frame is broken, housekeeping did not show up today and I just got all kinds of attitude from the front desk on a request for more toilet paper at 11 pm. If housekeeping had shown up they would have seen the need for more toilet paper. I am seeing a downturn in service in all Hilton's recently. Location is ok. There are restaurants nearby but, street noise at night is kind of loud. This is the first Home 2 Suites I have ever stayed in that charges for parking.

Rooms were clean and modern. Gym facilities and amenities are nice. If you need to stay for a week or two for work in the area, I’d highly recommend it. Kitchenette helps a lot to save some money on food, and was appreciated to keep my water cool in the desert. Staff were super friendly and helpful any time of the day (or night) I showed up in the lobby. Gym was also better than expected. I wish I got a chance to check out the pool during my stay.

Overall, my stay was very nice. The front desk staff was about as welcoming and friendly as anywhere I've ever stayed. Everyone who walked into the lobby was greeted with a smile. My son had surgery in the hospital nearby, and they always asked how he was doing.
