I arrived in Mui Ne to celebrate Tet/Chinese New Year, having first gotten a room at the Anam Mui Ne just a few minutes drive away. Due to the festival rush, they had no rooms after a few days and I had to move out to the Anantera Mui Ne. Both hotels were at similar price points, but the entire service approach was very different. For the entire time at the Anam, I could choose what to spend and where to eat, and there were even discounts on the spa treatments. At the Anantera, I was told that I had to sign up for a mandatory New Year gala dinner on the 31st which cost almost US$70. To be sure, that is the normal price for a dinner buffet, but the main thing is guests were not given a choice. As long as you stayed on that day, you would need to foot the bill. Later, I found the room unsatisfactory. There was a blockage of the shower drainage, causing the water to accumulate and not recede even after overnight, plus an unpleasant smell that originated from the shower area. The sofas had stains. However, the biggest problem was that the king bed was not a true king bed, being combined with two smaller beds and leading to serious lack of back support. When I asked to cut short my stay from 3 nights to 2 nights, I was told that I would not be refunded. Most reprehensive for me, the hotel staff that I spoke with kept passing the buck around when I asked who could authorize the refund. When Trip.com tried to help and asked the hotel staff, they constantly lied about the situation, saying to Trip.com that I agreed to waive my refund and/or I was being upgraded to a villa, when nothing of that sort happened and both suggestions were obviously mutually contradictory. Ultimately I decided my physical and mental health was more important and I went back to the Anam Mui Ne after securing a room, losing a very expensive one night's stay at the Anantera on top of the compulsory dinner. Maybe it was the Tet festival which led to B Team handling this, but someone really dropped the ball. This was a two three star experience at best.

I stayed at ANANTARA Mui Ne from July 30 to 31 and was very disappointed. There were ants in the room, which made my stay very uncomfortable. When I told the staff, their response was unprofessional and dismissive. No apology, no help – just excuses. For a luxury hotel, this level of hygiene and service is unacceptable. I expected much better from ANANTARA. I had a pleasant two-night stay at the resort. The rooms were spacious and clean, although I did find a some ants on the desk. The bathroom design could be improved, as it tended to get a bit wet after bathing, creating some inconvenience. Each night, the resort surprised us with local sweet treats, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and charming. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the resort's design; the overgrown trees made it feel a bit gloomy, and there seemed to be a lot of insects and mosquitoes around. The swimming pool was large and warm, making it enjoyable for swimming, and the beach was well-maintained. Breakfast offered a good variety, and I particularly enjoyed the smoothies and butter. However, breakfast service ended at 10:30, and when I arrived around 9:00, there was less food available than before. I liked the crème brûlée, but it wasn’t refilled afterwards. Additionally, the staff didn’t seem very attentive during this time; I had to remind them to clear my stack of plates so I could continue eating. Aside from that, the service was generally quite good. I might consider returning if I visit Mui Ne again.

Anantara is a small piece of paradise in MuiNe. The hotel resort is well prepared to take tourists from all over the world, relaxing is a must. As soon as you arrive while waiting you are welcome with a relaxing massage and wonderful staff helps you around. If you are visiting MuiNe, Anantara is the right place for you, wonderful breakfast options, clean beach and warm cozy rooms. Special thanks to the detailed service from Ms. Thao deputy GM, Ms. Dung that took care of our room, Ms Huyen that helped us before arriving and each person from the hotel that always greeted us with a smile and a helping hand.

We booked two rooms, not the lowest-priced basic room type, but the room we were arranged to stay in was indeed the worst! Facing the road and the main entrance, it seemed to be a guard room!
