Beautiful resort, but could be improved.
The check in process was lousy as they could not find our reservation... which took nearly half an hour to sort out while we waited in the lobby. Not what we were expecting from a 4-star resort.
The grounds are beautiful & well maintained, but the same cannot be said of the rooms. We stayed in the beachfront villa that was supposed to be the resorts crown jewel however, it was in serious need of updating by way of new furniture, paint, and tile.
A few things that were amiss:
- There are hedges between the beach and the "beachfront" villas.
- If you want to play tennis on their court, the rackets are complimentary however the tennis ball will cost 200,000 VND to rent for one hour.
- The buffet breakfast really lacked flavour; the resort does their best to incorporate Vietnamese cuisine, but it is not in keeping with a 4-star standard.
- There was no entertainment. The resort appeared full, likely due to Valentine's Day. It would have been nice to have a live guitar player or singer, or even some romantic displays on the grounds.
Overall, I can't say that I would rebook Century Beach resort. There were several others we noticed from the beach that would have been worth checking out before selecting this one.
