My stay in Marriot Petra is beyond my expectations. The location is great, you could see nice views of Petra from the swimming pool in the hotel. Plus the hotel is super quiet and peaceful ❤️ The staff are super kind, friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Mr. Mohammed , the assistant manager in the front office , he is a very kind and friendly person, delivering a great service and kind attitude when interacting with the guest . I would like to recommend this hotel for your Petra stay .

One Star – A Miserable, Sleepless Night at Petra Marriott Worse than anything, I had to wake up at 6am for a Petra hike—but instead of resting, I endured one of the most sleep-deprived nights I’ve ever had in a hotel. Outside my room, at the poolside tent area—supposedly closed after midnight—groups of guests were shouting, laughing, and drinking well into the early hours. Midnight came and went. At 12:30am, the noise was loud. By 1am, it was worse. At 1:30am, I was forced to call reception, practically begging them to do something. But nothing changed. At 2am, I was woken again by shouting near the pool. By 5:30am, running on maybe three hours of broken sleep, I had had enough and confronted the receptionist with a simple question: Why are your own rules not enforced? No real answer. No apology. Just blank stares. This came after a rocky start. From the moment I checked in, I felt like an unwanted inconvenience. The first receptionist I dealt with was cold, dismissive, and unfriendly. It took raising a complaint and asking for a manager just to be treated with basic courtesy. My room had a view mostly blocked by part of the restaurant roof—far from the scenic experience I’d hoped for. The manager offered me a different room with a mountain view, but I’d already unpacked, so I stayed put, disappointed but settled. I had originally planned to extend my stay by two nights, but by sunrise that day, I couldn’t get out fast enough. I moved to the Mövenpick and was blown away by the difference—staff who actually cared, quiet rooms, and respect for guests’ need for rest. The Petra Marriott may look the part, but it fails where it matters most: hospitality, peace, and professionalism. I wouldn’t return if the room were free

Beautiful hotel situated at the top of Petra overlooking a nice desert valley. A La Carte breakfast had a good range of foods. Would stay again!

Beautiful hotel, with very friendly, respectful employees. The rooms are very clean, and come with the most beautiful astonishing view of the mountains, something you’ve never seen before and when looking at it keep you dazzled. For dinner we got a local dish with chicken en lamb what they grilled in a underground oven. This hotel and the staff deserves a full 5 star rating!

Nice hotel around Petra but service could be improved, they try to sell us expensive package, give us wrong info.. massage was very good o recommend it, room where ok, the best point is the view and the pool. Bedouin restaurant is nice but food is not crazy. Breakfast is average. Overall it’s not crazy but in comparison to the other hotel around it’s very decent. Note that the hotel is far from the center so you can’t really go out for diner or other activity without taking a cab.

The hotel is really old and is 2 km away from the ancient city of Petra. There are not many breakfast options, and it is not recommended to participate in the Petra Night event in the hotel because it is much cheaper to buy tickets directly at the attraction.

The room is not big, but the location is excellent, and you can see the beautiful sunset. However, when we had breakfast on the first day, the waiter in the breakfast room inexplicably handed me something like a bill to sign after we finished eating. Because we ordered breakfast and dinner, and I saw that no one else had it, I went to the front desk to ask what it was. The male staff at the front desk said that this was just a tip sheet, not a bill, and his attitude was not very patient. My good impression of this hotel comes entirely from the cute uncle who helped me carry my luggage. He opened the window for me to watch the sunset, and knocked on the door every few minutes to give me a gift. I was really surprised and will always remember him!
