Property Description
Oystercatcher Cottage is a stylish, one-bedroom property in a converted farm steading. You’ll love this light and comfortable space with its luxury finishes, mezzanine bedroom, modern features and picturesque countryside views. Set in a private, but highly accessible, rural location on the southern fringes of the Scottish Highlands, there’s a host of fantastic sporting, recreational and cultural opportunities on the estate and nearby, including grouse shooting, deer stalking, and salmon fishing.
Welcome to Oystercatcher Cottage!
With an interesting history dating back to 1850, these original farm steading buildings have been lovingly restored and converted into high quality accommodation.
Named after a distinctive wading bird, you find yourself happy to roost in this lovely cottage at Kipney Steading!
On the ground floor there is a double height open-plan living area with stylish lounge chairs for relaxing and watching TV. Patio doors open onto a pretty courtyard area. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and boasts a double oven, an induction hob and a table seating four.
Upstairs, on the mezzanine level, there is a beautiful double bedroom featuring a Superking bed and an ensuite bathroom. Guests love details like the chandelier and cosy throws, which bring a luxurious feel to the cottage.
There is ample car parking and an electric car charger adjacent to the property. A notable feature is that the adjoining cottages and nearby Kipney farmhouse can all be booked together to house larger families and groups. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate stag or hen parties at Oystercatcher Cottage.
Equipment such as BBQs, garden furniture, cots, private chef, etc. are all available on request and there is electric car charger on-site. Regretfully, dogs are not allowed.
Due to the large feature and skylight windows light floods into Oystercatcher Cottage during the long days of our Scottish summers. Guests should be aware that whilst there are curtains in the downstairs area for privacy, it is impossible to completely block out light to the mezzanine bedroom.
