Had a lovely 2 night break at Peebles Hydro. We had a lovely spacious room with great views over the gardens and the town. All the staff were very friendly. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

Setting is amazing. The best view I have ever had from an absolutely lovely hotel room. The staff in all departments were excellent, they were polite, efficient and friendly (clearly, the training is very good). The food at breakfast and evening meal was excellent. The breakfast arrangement catered for all tastes and we both loved the smoked salmon starter and my steak was a treat. I used the swimming pool / sauna etc which was a very good standard and most relaxing.

This hotel has something for everybody, comfortable accommodation, delicious food, wonderful views, friendly and helpful staff. If you like a soft pillow though, bring your own !

We stayed for one night as a birthday gift. Staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was great, lovely decorated and had beautiful views of the scenery around us. We used the pool which was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. We had our dinner in the Grill Room, food was tasty and enjoyable. Breakfast was the only thing we had issue with, plenty of options to choose from, even catered with vegan sausages which was great, it wasn’t hot, some of the breakfast items were just warm or hard as been sitting for a period of time.

Absolutely so disappointed. We only stayed for 4 hours out of our 2 night couples break. Hotel is dirty,poorly maintained. Everything worn out and needing a complete refurbishment. Staff were scarce and inefficient. Hotel aso smells. We could smell it off our clothes in car on way home and that was after only being there for a few hours

We stayed here for the weekend as I was riding tour o the borders. The hotel was extremely accommodating, friendly helpful staff were there whenever we needed anything. The bike storage room was excellent, and the early buffet breakfast for riders was very appreciated.

Tucked away amongst the rolling hills of Peebles, this hotel is a real gem. From the moment you arrive, there’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff are wonderfully attentive, nothing ever feels too much trouble, and they strike the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine friendliness. Breakfast here is an absolute highlight. Not only is the food exceptional: fresh, plentiful, and beautifully prepared; but the setting makes it truly unforgettable. Sitting with a steaming cup of coffee while looking out over the spectacular views of the hills is an experience in itself. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, charm, and scenery in equal measure, I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
