GGuest UserVery elegant old-style villa, the breakfast is very rich and delicious, the stay is also very comfortable, and the cost performance is super high! York is very quiet, and the people I met along the way are very friendly. I couldn't swipe my card in the public toilet on Butcher Street, but a local brother saw that I swiped his card and let me in. Thank you for being such a good person! This time I traveled by myself, my English was terrible, but the experience was actually quite good, haha, I recommend everyone to stay and play~

GGuest UserOverall, everything is very good. the room is clean, the environment is nice, and free coffee is provided every day. The only small issue is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom is a bit loud.
However, I had one unpleasant experience with a female staff member (curly long hair), her customer service attitude was very poor, and she didnât apologize for her mistake. On the other hand, another male staff member was very friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated.

GGuest UserThere are many small roads to drive to the hotel. It gets dark early in winter, but fortunately there are not many cars. When you arrive at the hotel, you will feel refreshed. The environment is very good and the hotel layout is also very tasteful. The bed is soft but supportive, and it is comfortable to sleep. The breakfast restaurant has a beautiful view and several breakfast options are available.

BBonniegiftYork is a small historical city, this hotel inherits the city culture. British-style separate yard, tall black gate. Friendly uncle-level reception. The hotel is a bit old, the maintenance is very good, the room has a kettle, the necessary toiletries, the shower open in a variety of ways, and the small snacks are also prepared. Health is OK, the quality of the bed is also good. In short, it is a good experience

AAnonymous UserGood location, short walking distance into town. Room size is comfortable for two pax. Broken shower was not informed to us when checking in. Had to shower over the bath that had no showering curtain, this made the entire toilet wet and potentially slippery. It will also be inconvenient if someone is unable to climb in and out of a bath easily.
Towels were not provided, requested via the QR code. However, after waiting awhile, we had to go down to lobby to remind the staff of our request. It was then promptly addressed.

GGuest UserHotel is situated right opposite Clifton tower and is conveniently located within. The city centre - walking distance to the Shambles and other attractions. The parking situation is problematic - although aware it is first come first served, there is nowhere available to park up and ask except the three spaces in front of the hotel and if taken, you end up circling the road for an absolutely age before a space becomes available. If no parking on site end up parking over the road on public car park which is inconvenient as keep having to work out when to renew. The cleanliness is a slight issue, we thought there was dust on surfaces but more likely to be cloth fibres from the cleaners but still don't expect shedding like this. Room was fine but did think bathroom was on the smaller side for a double deluxe room. Service in general was good - couldn't really fault.

GGuest UserDidnât book a duplex, informed that this is all they had. The room was cold, oil heater supplied, no instructions. Only 1 light switch to work lights, so when need bathroom ,down the very step steps had to turn the overhead light on, waking my husband. Very little space has a new meaning to the word âcosyâ in the booking! No guest/ room information. Tea and coffee facilities had to carried up the stairs.
Not happy, and good for a Hilton!

SSteven DowsonBeautiful old pub located on the main road into York from the south. Car parking at the rear. Takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Minster and the route takes you past Clifford's Tower & The Shambles. The room was very clean & tidy, decorated simply & tastefully. Shower was hot and efficient. We slept well although we prefer a firmer bed. The pub is on a main road but it was quiet during the night & we weren't disturbed by visitors to the bar (we stayed on a Thursday). Good beer, I had a pint of Wainwright's Gold. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay again, much better to support a local business like this than the big brands. My wife is Chinese and wanted a Chinese breakfast, we found a place called Noodle Lane about ten minutes walk from the hotel, it was expensive but authentic.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed here a few years before and really enjoyed our stayed so booked to come back for our anniversary. We were in the opposite side of the building this time and it was still delightful. We really enjoyed the separation of the bathroom from the bedroom with a little study area. The place was starting to get a little run down however. There was no handle on the toilet, and one of the bathroom lights didnât work. Toilet roll was paper thin and the lights above the bed were perfect height for hitting your head when getting in and out of bed. Other than that though he we enjoyed our stayed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant food was delicious.

GGuest UserIt's an older Holiday Inn. The cleanliness was good, though the bathroom was incredibly tiny, and the elevators were showing their age. The front desk staff were great, and they offer free luggage storage. A crucial tip: when taking the bus from the train station to the hotel, make sure to tell the driver your stop beforehand, otherwise, the bus might easily skip it!
