York Hotels with Bars

We liked the welcome by the concierge. Building is incredible. The first check-in was nice. The second check-in we were ignored walked past and Not greeted nicely when we got to our room. I wasn’t very happy with it a lot smaller more than I imagined from the pictures. Big beds though and firm. We had the executive twin. The carpets were fraid the units all worn and broken only two tinny water bottles. There was a fridge in the room but very noisy had to turn that off. wasn’t very clean in the shower. It had a connecting door in the room which I don’t like personally, I did ask the Hotel if there was another room available or if we could be upgraded, This took nearly an hour with long phone breaks to be shown to another room that was dated and had a really bad smell like mold.  I have stayed at other five star hotels and when you’re not happy they go above and beyond and didn’t feel like this Hotel did everything at all, it was overpriced. More like a 4 star in the rooms. It costs you £30 to go into the spa every time and we have to book this wasn’t keen on that either. The Service in the restaurant was great the food was loving the Ride restaurant and the Service in the spa was great with two members of staff. One looked me up and down and a bit off but There was a friendly man offering drinks and was really friendly and helpful. There were nice parts of the stay but felt the effort to change our room was poor. Won’t stay again because room was basic damaged, with the cost of the room, spa should be less.

Beautiful hotel only 10 minutes walk from the city centre  Our room was clean and cosy  In the room was hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as tea/coffee facilities and an electric fan which was definitely needed with temps reaching 29 degrees 🥵 The outdoor area was stunning with lots of seating and little pods to dine in of an evening very pretty all lit up at night  All the staff were friendly and helpful  We will definitely return in the near future.

Located within a golf course, the hotel boasts a tranquil, peaceful, and comfortable environment with beautiful scenery. However, it's quite far from the city center, about a 30-minute drive from York's Old Town. If you're not traveling by car, it's not the best choice for accommodation. But if you have a car, it's an excellent option as parking is free. The hotel has two restaurants with good food, but they are very expensive and the portions are small – typical fine dining. If you don't want to spend too much on food, it's best to eat in the city before entering the hotel.

Firstly, the location is excellent. It's about a 15-minute walk from the train station. (Image 1: Hotel exterior) The hotel is very close to the city walls, and other attractions are also within walking distance. Secondly, there's a small lift in the lobby to help bring down luggage. (Image 2) I was really pleased to discover this little lift. Thirdly, I recommend the Yorkshire Museum, which is within walking distance. It takes about three to four hours to explore, and they have Chinese audio guides. Image 3 shows the many brochures and tourist information available in the lobby. Image 4 is of the lobby itself. Image 5 shows the bathroom. Image 6 shows a room with one double bed and one single bed. Image 7 shows the riverside view from behind the hotel. Image 8 shows the interesting toilet flush handle. Image 9 shows the room equipped with a kettle. Image 10 shows many areas of the hotel decorated with Monet's paintings, which is very cozy! Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

The staff were very friendly, and the lady at reception kindly allowed us to check in at 12:30 noon even though the official check-in time wasn't until 3:00 pm. This was a much 🙏🏻appreciated gesture and something that's quite rare in the UK. The location is excellent and within walking distance of my favourite café, Betty Cafe. I had a lovely stay and look forward to staying here again on my next visit.

The hotel charges guests £18 for parking, compared to £35 for non-guests, which is quite reasonable considering the spacious and unrestricted in-and-out access. Its friendly proximity to the city center makes it a great choice for a city walk, especially with York's unique cultural charm. Definitely recommend.

Located on the outskirts of town, it's about a twenty-minute walk from the train station. The convenience is excellent; it's roughly a ten-minute walk to the Butcher's Street and the city center. The staff are incredibly friendly; everyone from the front desk to the restaurant service made us feel right at home. The room facilities are complete and comfortable, the bedding is great, and the bathroom has a small heater that can dry towels and small clothes, which I absolutely loved. Overall, the hotel is very well-maintained. Highly recommended!

We’ve stayed at Delta Hotels York multiple times now, and it continues to be a fantastic choice every single visit. This was our 6th stay, and once again, it was a solid 10/10 experience. The hotel is always spotless—super clean and tidy throughout—which makes a big difference the moment you walk in. The room service is top-notch, and everything feels well thought out and well maintained. We especially appreciated the welcoming amenities in the room, including a great selection of coffee and the Ninja coffee pod machine, which was a lovely touch. The rooms and bathrooms are impressively spacious, with plenty of room to relax comfortably. It never feels cramped, which really adds to the overall experience. The staff are consistently friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful, making every stay smooth and enjoyable. Another big plus for us is the leisure facilities—the jacuzzi and pool are a great bonus and perfect for unwinding. On top of that, the on-site parking is safe, convenient, and reasonably priced, which is one of the main reasons we keep choosing this hotel when visiting York. Overall, a reliable and welcoming place that never disappoints. We’ll definitely be back again.

I had a really lovely stay here. The hostel is in a great location, very close to the city centre and easy to reach on foot. The building itself is beautiful, cosy and full of character, with a charming old-fashioned feel. The cleanliness was 10/10 for me. Considering that it is a hostel with people constantly coming and going, I was genuinely impressed by how clean everything was, especially compared with other hostels I have stayed in. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the common area is comfortable and cosy. There is no kitchen, but breakfast is available in the morning at a reasonable price. There can be a little noise from the street outside, but overall this is an excellent place to stay. I would especially recommend it to women travelling solo. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. One extra tip: don’t spend your whole trip only in the city. If you are visiting between May and September, take one of the longer local bus routes towards the coast. The journey itself is beautiful, with wonderful countryside and coastal views, and it is a great way to see another side of the area. I would definitely stay here again.

The first time I stayed at the Youth Hostel, there were not many people on the same floor when we went there, so the experience was very good. The bathroom was clean and the shower was dry and clean. The room was a bit cold in winter but the price was very high.
