GGuest UserVery elegant old-style villa, the breakfast is very rich and delicious, the stay is also very comfortable, and the cost performance is super high! York is very quiet, and the people I met along the way are very friendly. I couldn't swipe my card in the public toilet on Butcher Street, but a local brother saw that I swiped his card and let me in. Thank you for being such a good person! This time I traveled by myself, my English was terrible, but the experience was actually quite good, haha, I recommend everyone to stay and play~

GGuest UserI mean a very standard hotel with standard amenities. Nothing is so wow in terms of service and the hotel itself. They need to clean the aircon by the way...clogged with poor air ventilation and noises. Also some foot prints on the wall. Regular maintenance is definitely required.

GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay at Mercure York Fairfield Hall. Without exception the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful whilst at the same time understated. The breakfast represented excellent value with good choice and nicely prepared and presented. We had the opportunity to upgrade our room which we did, having the Honeymoon Suite as a consequence made our stay very pleasurable and comfortable. Accommodation is good but the decor in places a bit tired. Location wise it is excellent being a short distance from the Park and Ride which makes getting into York so easy and cheap.
Our only gripe is that there is nog a EV charge point in site though there are sondd ed at the nearby retail park.
All in all an excellent place to stay for a trip to York. We would be happy to return.

GGuest UserI've stayed at this hotel before and I will definitely be staying again. The location is ideal for me with easy access to the city centre either by walking, bus, or taxi. The rooms have always been very clean and a good size too. The buffet style breakfast is always superb and leisure facilities give you a chance to unwind in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room.
The staff have always been pleasant, friendly, and polite.

YYeziA small villa, the room is clean and tidy, very warm and quiet, the service is very good and warm, we live on the 3rd floor, there is no elevator, the suitcase is the store to help get the room, parking is also convenient. The environment of Zhou is good, and it is convenient to travel. It takes 20 minutes to walk along the river to see the tourist attractions in the downtown area. Only breakfast is very expensive. Two nights a day is a pleasant experience.

YYouyujunjunziThe hotel is a converted old villa, a very British manor house. It has a large golf course and many wild ducks, squirrels, and birds of unknown species. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, and the breakfast is à la carte with a wide variety of options.

LLow Siong Lye 27052025I had a comfortable stay at the Holiday Inn York. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute ride from the train station using bus 840 or 843, which made getting there fairly easy. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, providing a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring.
The only drawback is the distance to the Hop On Hop Off bus pick-up point. We either had to take another bus or walk about 20 minutes to reach the nearest stop, which wasn’t always ideal.
Overall, the hotel offers good comfort and cleanliness, but travelers relying on sightseeing buses should plan for a bit of extra travel time.

GGuest UserCheck in was easy and the front desk, restaurant, and bar staff were great. The menu at the restaurant is very limited...not many healthy choices and very few starters for those who would just like small bites. There needs to be more restaurant and bar staff ! one person serving the bar and restaurant ? Not fair to staff or your guests. When we were there we were not told the restaurant was closing early because of a large tour group so my friend who joined us later was unable to order anything. The room was also quite dark so I would suggest adding more lighting. That being said, good location and clean!
