"Stayed in the lodges. Very clean but very very basic. No AC but think that is only needed but a few days out of the year. Water pressure and temperature I give 120%. No TV, no WiFi, sparse cell service at best. Food is a step above fast food. Pillows are lumpy. Bed is so so. Wildlife is outside. Bring bug spray. Only spent $468 for one night. 😆 Would think there would be more extras at that price. How about at least included breakfast?"

"I’m not going to sugarcoat this. The motel is a bit out of the way, which is fine with me. There aren’t a lot of amenities, which is also fine with me.
The thing that sets this Travelodge apart from other places is the PEOPLE! Scott is the owner and a great guy! The staff is AMERICAN, and incredibly friendly and accommodating. The price is less than competition in Cody, Wyoming about 20 miles closer to the area attractions, and I mean a lot less! I booked the room through Trip.com because of the extreme price difference, and ended up saving more than enough for an additional night, after rethinking our rushed plans. I would absolutely stay there again, and I highly recommend it for budget minded travelers."

"We have stayed at The Cody previously so it was a no brainer for us to book here again on our return trip. The staff are always warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and well decorated, with a good sitting area and a well supplied kitchen. It is just out of town which suits us just fine, but within walking distance of the Rodeo, Ghost Town and Cody Gun Experience, Gas stations and car wash. Having stayed at other hotels in Cody in the past, this is now our Number one place to stay as it ticks all the boxes for us"

Due to the peak tourist season, it is still a bit far from Yellowstone Park. The next day, we need to plan to drive into Yellowstone Park. Compared with the accommodation price in the park, this price is very satisfactory."

"This time in the United States, the most people live in friends, very recommended, each is very good. The decoration is new and the key is very clean. The hotel provides coffee and hot water 24 hours a day, and also has breakfast. The staff has a good service attitude and check-in and check-out are very efficient. great views, restaurants and dining, the city center, Rodeo, mustangs. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the views, the location, and the people. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
The space
Remodeled in July of 2016! Spend the night in this cute duplex cabin, close to Cody yet located out in the country with magnificent mountain views. The cabin is western with brand new log furnitures and queen bed. We're are roughly 50 miles from Yellowstone. The cabin has it's own big bathroom.
Guest access
You will have full access to the deck but have to share with guests on the other side of the cabin. There is great hiking possibilities on our property, you are more than welcome to take advantage of that. We have horses grazing on the property from time to time, they would love it if you would like to say hello to them. We have a charcoal grill that you are welcome to use (you buy the charcoals). We have a bon fire spot by the water canal, please enjoy it (weather no fire if it's to dry or windy). There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker in your cabin as well.

Other things to note
We’re sad to inform you that our nice big Akita dog, Rooster, passed away on November 1st 2023. It has been a very hard time for our family as he was the best family member we could have ever wished for. We know that he will be greatly missed by our guests as well. It will take some getting used to by us all, to not have him keeping an eye out for us all.
On that note, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a new little Akita pup to our family. He was born October 5th 2023. His name is Napoleon “Dynamite” Bonaparte. He is the runt of the litter and just the sweetest little guy. We know we can’t replace Rooster, but if Napoleon is just a little bit of what he was, he will too be a great part of our family.
We also have Ellie-girl. She’s such a little firecracker and filled with personality. She is funny and loving and a great addition to our family. Furthermore, we rescued and golden retriever mix, Rita the fall of 2022 and she’s a sweetheart. She and Ellie really likes to get themselves into some trouble. All friendly, loving dogs. So, if you’re a dog person, this is most definitely the place to be.

Remodeled in July of 2016! Spend the night in this cute duplex cabin, close to Cody yet located out in the country with magnificent mountain views. The cabin is western with brand new log furnitures and queen bed. We're are roughly 50 miles from Yellowstone. The cabin has it's own big bathroom.
Guest access
You will have full access to the deck but have to share with guests on the other side of the cabin. There is great hiking possibilities on our property, you are more than welcome to take advantage of that. We have horses grazing on the property from time to time, they would love it if you would like to say hello to them. We have a charcoal grill that you are welcome to use (you buy the charcoals). We have a bon fire spot by the water canal, please enjoy it (weather no fire if it's to dry or windy). There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker in your cabin as well.

We’re sad to inform you that our nice big Akita dog, Rooster, passed away on November 1st 2023. It has been a very hard time for our family as he was the best family member we could have ever wished for. We know that he will be greatly missed by our guests as well. It will take some getting used to by us all, to not have him keeping an eye out for us all.
On that note, we’re excited to announce that we welcomed a new little Akita pup to our family. He was born October 5th 2023. His name is Napoleon “Dynamite” Bonaparte. He is the runt of the litter and just the sweetest little guy. We know we can’t replace Rooster, but if Napoleon is just a little bit of what he was, he will too be a great part of our family.
We also have Ellie-girl. She’s such a little firecracker and filled with personality. She is funny and loving and a great addition to our family. Furthermore, we rescued and golden retriever mix, Rita the fall of 2022 and she’s a sweetheart. She and Ellie really likes to get themselves into some trouble. All friendly, loving dogs. So, if you’re a dog person, this is most definitely the place to be.

Cheery with abundant natural light, The Roost is a 500 sq. ft. two story "not so tiny, tiny home" set among old growth cottonwood trees in a relaxed older neighborhood. Downstairs is a queen bedroom with en-suite bath, trundle in loft and air-conditioning. Numerous easy-open windows connect guests to the outdoors while the living/dining area offers R&R for family and friends with a full-sized sofa and fully equipped kitchen. Outside enjoy barbecuing and dining at the patio table.. The small front yard with privacy fence has 4 Adirondack chairs and a fire table to enjoy a quiet evening. Listen for the hoot of owls that live here and take in the stars that shine brightly without competition from other lights.
The space
Our guest house is finished with modern farmhouse charm and nice details. White quartz counters, custom cabinets, locally milled rough sawn floors. It also has air conditioning and on demand hot water.
We live in the main house just behind the guesthouse. The Roost is located close to the airport and a quick bike or drive to downtown. There is a short trail close to our house that would make for a nice walk. It's also located 2 blocks from an elementary school with 3 playgrounds.
Cody is 1 hour from the east entrance to Yellowstone. Yellowstone’s east entrance usually opens around May 6th and closes around November 7th. Yellowstone is only open to snowmobiling in the winter.
Guest access
There is a parking spot just in front of the porch. It easily fits one car or two small cars can squeeze in. You are welcome to park along the road as well. Please park your car along the fence (yes in the grass is just fine). Please don’t park in our driveway, it can make it difficult for us to get out. Enjoy this cozy upstairs apartment located in KB Lodge. This unique place can be rented alone or you can book the other apartment and rent the whole lodge. Apartment C is the smaller of the two. KB Lodge is located directly across from the world famous, Cody Nite Rodeo. You can sit on the deck and enjoy the views as well as be to close to convinces such as Walmart and delicious restaurants. This is a 2 unit building. You may have other guests in the downstairs unit. Also note the bed sizes and quintiles so ensure you will be comfortable. We also have an air mattress that can be set up for extra sleeping. The lodge is not very sound proof. Unfortunately, we did not find this out until after we completed the remodel.
