First disappointment: the hot tub. It's non-functional, just like the exercise room. It is front and center as you enter the building, a showpiece that they couldn't be bothered to maintain. The manager says they stopped offering it two years ago. Don't let the beautiful pictures of it fool you. We chose this hotel because of the views, which are good, but marred by the road between the hotel and the lake, but you have to get in somehow, right? If it was just that, I would have let it pass, but the management became combative with my companion when he "Expressed concerns with things not as they were presented". I was watching from the wings as a guy I've never seen get angry, abecome livid as he was told he was lying about seeing pictures online. Customer service was completely lacking. The room was musty, as if it hadn't been used in years. I was told it was likely just the AC not running in a while, but it was the carpet that smelled. The room has an exterior entrance, or should I say exit, because the door lock no longer accepts key cards. Worse than that, it doesn't work at all. If there was a fire in the hall, we would have had to climb out the window. Oh, the window, it just pushes to the side and doesn't even lock. I went down to do laundry; the machines were all "Out of Order". I bought a soda; the machine's refrigeration was also out of order but not labeled as such. I tried to put it in our fridge in the room. It was warmer inside than the room, which can't be healthy. Breakfast was disappointing. Everything was prepackaged. If you wanted coffee and cereal bars, you were in luck, as long as you didn't want decaf or tea. The only thing fresh was a bowl of fruit, so bruised and spoiling that it was no wonder it was still sitting there. Overall, it has the look of a rustic cabin inn, but really does give the impression they have ceased to care about upkeep. I've stayed in places like this that I would give 5 stars to, but I could not imagine anything less appealing than a place that doesn't care about their best amenities. For the positives, the beds were comfortable, and their was chairs and clean sheets and towels. They made an attempt to clean the bathroom and vacuum the carpets. Not much else I can say for the place. Even with that, it was 30% more expensive than the last place we stayed at on our trip. The only bright star of their staff we dealt with was the evening front desk woman.

I originally planned to stay at the Beartooth Inn for just two days, but I enjoyed my time here so much that I ended up extending my trip to five days! To start, I just love the name of the Inn, and the location is absolutely perfect—it sits just outside of Cody, giving it a peaceful feel, but it's still very close to town. From the moment I checked in with Lloyd, the hospitality was fantastic. The other gentleman at the front desk, Cody, was also incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my stay. My room was extremely comfortable, featuring wonderfully soft and thick carpet, a cozy bed, a fridge, and a microwave. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they provided body lotion—a really nice touch since so many motels have stopped supplying it! The mornings here are fantastic. The breakfast was delicious and hit the spot, and the view of the lake is just beautiful. One morning, I even got to watch pronghorns grazing right outside. The only minor hiccup was that the onsite laundromat wasn't operational during my stay, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the staff quickly provided me with information for a same-day laundry service in Cody to make up for it.

The locally owned hotel is in a great location on US-14. The staff were very helpful to us and we saw them try to assist a single mom with 5 children who checked in just before us. We appreciated their kindness. Our room was clean, although the decor could use sprucing up. We stayed 2 nights and felt the accommodations were a good value for our traveling dollars.

The room was clean and they gratefully changed our room to the first floor as my husband had twisted his knee and hauling everything up and down the stairs was not ideal. The spa was empty. Breakfast consisted of cereal and fruit bars, dried apple chips, oatmeal, yogurt and single packaged donuts. We brought our own food thankfully. There is a fabulous, large veterans memorial monuments garden. We appreciated it and took our time to walk through it. Some folks were fishing in the river beside the hotel. They had a candle burning in the lobby that was extremely strong. I mention that in case someone may be sensitive to such. I could smell it outside. We ended up blocking the door frame with pillows and towels to try to deter some of the strong scent. The bed was a little too hard but it was s nice, clean room with easy access.

Overall, it was a good experience. There's a nice peaceful veterans Park located adjacent to the hotel. I would have given it a higher rating if the hot tub was working. They told me that it probably would not be operating until the fall, because the nearest person that could fix it was in Billings, Montana. I appreciate the staff working with me to give my handicapped wife a good room.

Not much of a breakfast, oatmeal and breakfast bars small juice boxes. Room could of been cleaned more lots of dirt above the doors , no ice bucket lid, food was left in the fridge, pillows were made for kids.

Breakfast was extremely subpar…even from last year! Pillows must be 40 years old & flat, terrible noisy AC/heater unit. HK staff is subpar..they do not clean microwaves/fridges/coffee makers or above doors/headboards, lamps/bulbs, bugs in light fixtures. Food in freezer, toothpaste/hair in sink. Trash cans are FITHY with months of gunk! Sloppy cleaning. Bedding did not smell fresh even. Doors/walls had marks & dirt that can easily be removed. Pealing paint should be addressed by maintenance. & why have a hot tub room w/o having it functional? From last year this place has gone way downhill. Do NOT recommend Staff is very friendly & welcoming… but cannot replace the ick

Can’t beat the price (off season) It completely met our needs. Staff super friendly and gave advice on things to experience. Spa was closed for maintenance but didn’t really matter to us. Not fancy but clean and functional.

I didn't eat breakfast there, but parking was great since I was towing a trailer.
