Bohol Begonia Resort

I booked on Trip.com because they said late checkout was allowed, but they said it wasn't allowed locally and charged 500 pesos per hour. I stayed for half a night and only slept for a few minutes before leaving. However, when we moved resorts, they provided free pickup for our family of four to Modala Resort, which was really appreciated.

The hotel was clean and nice overall, but it was too expensive to rent a motorbike from the hotel, so I rented one from a local motorbike rental place nearby.

I've traveled to Southeast Asia many times, but I never want to go there again. There's no refrigerator or TV, and you have to pay for cold water. They ask for two room keys, so they charge an extra 500 pesos for the deposit. (This might be the case for 5-star hotels in Southeast Asia, so it's okay.) I booked on Trip.com and late check-out was included as a basic feature, but they said they would give it to me if I wrote a good review on Google, so I showed them my reservation confirmation and checked out late. And the most important thing... I arrived on an overnight flight, checked in after 2:30 AM, and stayed for 2 nights... I killed almost 100 mosquitoes. On the day of arrival, I spent about 2 hours just killing mosquitoes starting at 2:30 AM. There were so many cockroaches and spiders coming from everywhere, whether it was the bathroom or the shower drain, that I barely slept for two days. There were so many cracks in the door that I couldn't tell if they were coming in through there, so I just killed mosquitoes when I entered the room. The cleaning wasn't very clean. There was mold in the shower room. I didn't even use the sofa. The air conditioning took forever to cool down. Considering the price, it was a good deal. The staff were incredibly friendly, which was nice, but I won't be returning.
